How refreshing! Maria did a great job with the translation! I found far fewer mistakes than I normally do with translated games.
Yes, it should say "you need local storage to be turn on for this site". Please turn it on and try again. Sorry for inconvenience but we really care to save you progress.

it's very pretty, and the story is probably good, but it's just so hideously slow... (this machine is good enough to run Portal 2, you're gonna tell me it's not good enough to run something with *no moving parts*? even if it is html5)
you probably mean the prealoding times when you wait from location to location. We cannot help here but we learn our lesson. We've been able to play this on ipad1 and smartphones with andriod onboard - it's wasn't a '3dMark top score' but fast enough to bit the game in one session :-)

@Sherlockmos: IE is by far not the most frequently used browser (http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp) and has not been for almost three and a half years.

this browser doesnt meet the requirements of the game. chrome sucks. your game doesnt meet the requirements of this player. 1/5

This, my friends, is a 5/5. Awesome adventure. Smart, but no so hard that you need a guide or walkthrough. Trader of Storys was a nice game, too. Keep on with you good work. Thx very much!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Did you really not test this on Internet Explorer? I'm using IE 9 and my browser doesn't meet the requirements of the game. Surely you'd want this to work on the most frequently used broswer on the planet.

Downgraded my rating from 2 to 1. An answer from the developer saying essentially "It's slow because we wanted it to be slow" is fine ... it's your game ... but it doesn't make me like it more.
my my the windows always have some kind of bug. But jokes aside - can you give us a more details? there is no hotspot or contextMenu for window? Or the image after doesn't appear?

@Pulsaris: Lag from this game is not from your computer sucking (although that may be part of it because you aren't playing WoW instead of this game. Also, WoW really isn't the standard of benchmark graphical quality FYI) but from your ISP sucking. It's done in HTML 5. And when you say "The Kongregate Chat is demanding sometimes" that is also a symptom of your ISP being slow. So stop blaming them for something that is not under their control.
@everyone who is complaining about not being able to use it because of your browser: First update/upgrade it, and save tech support everywhere thousands of hours per year. Second, Chrome and Firefox are used by almost 75% of people browsing the internet, (http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp) and for good reason. You may like your non-updated browser, Opera, or whatever, but DO NOT blame the developer for not being able to play a game because you are unwilling to download one of two free programs that 1.6 BILLION people use.

One issue I've found is that, like meownomnom, I have an issue where a loading screen/slideover thing begins when I click on something and it gets all the way to around 90% of the way then stops. Then I have to refresh to make it work. The problem is this has happened around 5 or 6 times in a relatively short period, which is rather frustrating. Having to refresh once or twice isn't the end of the world, but it gets really annoying when the number of instances in which I've had to do so begins approaching the double digits.

Well turtilla, perhaps you should download 'any other browser' because generally it's a good idea to use browsers that don't suck? There's a reason most people don't use internet explorer or opera.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you want to make a succesfull game, you have to create it for ALL browsers. For example, I have Operam or Internet Expolorer and I'm not willing to download any other browser just to play your game.
You have absolutely right. But we do it for fun. And secretly we are hope that someday we could make so good game that people would install new browser for it. We have our little dreams :-)

Oh, about my earlier comment, i see now... I checked the "About us" page on pastelgames, sorry about that ^^ anyways, great game :) Definitely the best adventure game I played in months! Can't wait for nex one in the series :) And the music is just beautiful :)

it's rare for me to say that about this kind of game, but it really deserves 5\5. please make the next game about it soon =]

First off, I use Firefox 13. And let me tell you, your game lags like hell, and I know that HTML5 can't have preloaders, quality switches or frame rate control. Therefore, the lag issue can't be solved. And don't tell me my computer sucks; if I had that configuration, I would be playing WoW, not your game. My suggestions? 1. Learn to use flash. Stencyl is also highly useful because you do the artwork yourselves. 2. Lower the resolution of the pics. 3. Refer people to your own website. The Kongregate Chat is demanding sometimes. You can actually see I have no lag problem with Amanita Design's flash games.
Html can have preloaders (this is when we wait a little when we goes to new location and view this nice shadow curtain ;). We know Flash - that's why we try something else. And if you like you can always find us beside kong. Thanx for all suggestion.

I don't quite understand... The trader of stories was made by Pastelgames, which it thought was run by Mateusz Skutnik... But apparently it's made by Marek Rudowski, so why it's on Patelgames? Is it some kind of collab? I'm not saying it's a plagiarism or something like that, i'm just a bit confused and curious... :|
Here is Marek Rudowski. As it states at the bottom of the starting screen of the Bell's Heart game (made in cooperation with Pastel Games): "The Trader of Stories" is a part of the "Big Old Tree that Dreams" which is the property of Marek Rudowski. I have first used the term "the Trader of Stories" when working on my demo (in 2009). This expression is both the title of the demo and the nickname of Myosotis. You can read a lot more on my blog http://www.traderofstories.blogspot.com

I tremendously love it so far (I've just started my journey, so much to see yet).
Yes, the game-play is slow - with the multiple fade in&outs - but it suit the great atmosphere of the game, reinforced by a very nice soothing music.
I remember I enjoyed the first game, but this is a fantastic improvement. The strongest point being the graphics, somewhere in between the universes of Jodorowsky and the late Moebius. Great work, keep it up! Five star, favourite and tips all around! ;)
Slow fade in/out is of course our 'image preloaded visual feedback'. This tiny game weights almost up to 12MB and we didn't want all players had to load everything to see anything. Of course it should be done better and we'll do it next time. Promise.

So i put in the lit lamp, the 5 cloth triangles and the 6 filters in the right order (yes i double checked it with walkthroughs) but still she sais "Something is missing. The mechanism is not working".
Also according to the walkthrough this should give me the last thought, but im still missing 2...i even tried to get all thoughts again, but i cant get the missing one. I'm using firefox 13 on ubuntu 10.04...is there a bug or something?

wee bug happening for me... not able to restart questioning the Captain so I began a new game however when I went to ask for her story I got only two word choices.
we're again finding our game in one sentence with one of our beloved title and once again we are so positively shocked that we shouldn't even comment :-) Thank you!

Excellent game, loved it! It would be great if all the people here on Kong who have played Bell's Heart knew about the sequel.
Good luck with your projects! Oh yes, and the demo I found on your blog is also very nice and I can't wait for the full game :)

The way you check for browser requirements makes this game unplayable for some who could otherwise play. I have Chrome set up to ask for local storage each time, but your game checks for local storage without asking. So, it tells me that my browser doesn't meet requirements.

Beautifully drawn and amusing... but it would really benefit from an editor for the writing. For a strongly text-oriented game, the numerous typos and grammar problems were distracting.

I can't figure out how to get that transparent slide-over screen to go away. I'm on the first screen, clicked use item, there's a slide over.
It shouldn't happend but... a beautiful html5 technology and the real live situation like server overload ... just refresh the site / iframe to give it some good kick off. The good thing is that we implemented an autosave so you never loose you work.

i think i'm almost finished, (i saw the vision through the oak connection and spoke with the wiseman but i can't get how to finish it
I know it's a bit unprofessional for the adventure hunter but here you can find a walkthrough:
