Seem to have got myself stuck in the Forest Sequence.
Left Aceru until last, read that you're supposed to take multiple handfuls to get the metal shard but unable to do so as after I put the first handful in the 'day' automatically ends.

Ah, it was a bug. Some puzzles will fail to solve sometimes, possibly because I'm using Firefox. Great... Next time I'll try with Chrome. Maybe everything will work this time.

These are some of the most infuriating puzzles I've ever seen. It brings me back to when I was a kid and nothing made any sense, and I was angry and confused and upset at how I could never understand how to get what I want. What do you want from me, Trader of Stories? I solved your puzzle, but you still won't let me progress. I'm glad some of the puzzles allow me to give up..... but not all of them allow that.

It'd be cool if Willow wore Dew's outfit and before Willow left Dew gave her the sword. What'd really be great for the next chapter is if Gofung tells Ugo to travel with Willow so he can "see the world" and Ugo brings tea so that he's "never to far from home". Also Willow and Ugo can continue their romantic relationship, depending which route you went. During their travels Little Willow could defend Ugo from something and he could make the inside joke of "playing hero" (when he nearly died saving her) which I could see play out in two or three ways. One being she blushes/kisses him causing them to have a romantic moment, two is her being confused and him explaining the joke which makes it less funny, and third is her being sarcastic in saying "You just weakened him for me". Or alternatively Willow could be distracted and with out her weapons when something/someone attacks her but Ugo saves her.

I'm really surprised by how much players can influence how some parts of story goes. For example, without spoiling anything, I didn't realize you can do a jasmine-jafar-ish move late game, and only found this out after playing a few times.

This has been such an incredible series so far, and the artwork is absolutely stunning!!
I played this game through twice to see the different paths you can take to reach the ending (which makes the game a lot more interesting and fun :) ) Personally, Ugo was my favourite character (he's so sweet and adorable :D) and I hope he and Gofung make a comeback eventually, but you are the creators and can do whatever you want and we'll be happy :)
I'm really excited about the next instalment (whenever you release it and if you are planning on another one haha)! Keep up the awesome work!

Typo: "It took us to long, brother" should be "It took us too long, brother"
Why is there no way to go back through text if skipped by accident? Transparent inventory icon in the corner was invisible to me for a while, making the tea impossible to brew. I would expect all the icons to be next to each other in the same corner... Plot twists galore, 4/5.

Content, story, and look of the game were great! mechanics of the game (unnecessary clicks to move around or progress, unclear and distracting puzzles) made portions of it tedious and detracted from the story. Absolutely longer than a medium badge!

I'm very torn on my rating for this game. On the one hand, the story is very well thought out, and opens itself to a wide variety of puzzles to engage the player and tell the story. On the other hand, the puzzles are far too cryptic to understand on their own, and some puzzles seem more like random scavenger hunts for dialog snippets than an actual game or interactive story. I'd suggest tightening up the instructions for puzzles and their mechanics to fit more seamlessly into a point-and-click genre.

This game was great. It's a shame it was put in the 2019 quest because it will be unfairly rated lower by annoyed quest seekers, along with all the other point and click story games this year. Still, fantastic game. I ran into several issues where the next scene would fail to load properly and I'd be stuck with an uninteractable screen, but thanks to the autosave feature I only had to refresh the page to resume with no progress lost. I'm not sure if I'll come back to investigate different paths and how they tie back to the same ending, but that's a pretty interesting feature I've read about in other comments so maybe in a few days I'll circle back to see.

I understand that this is a well made game of its genre, and the art is lovely. That said, it is a nightmare for a number of reasons to people who aren't into point and click stories. How in the heck did this make the 2019 quest?

There's an awesome story here, I'm sure, but having unnecessarily confusing puzzles every 5 minutes really takes me out of the story. The boiler/distillery puzzles have no clear goal, the lab explosion puzzle assumes you know how to read the chart (Thank you Tetsuo Shima for the explanation), and the final dream puzzle is just a slap in the face. That puzzle type is in every single puzzle game, and it's bull in every way. The Forest Nursery puzzle is the exception. That puzzle is inspired, satisfying, and ffs has some actual relevance to the story.
TL;DR: Awesome story, please don't clutter it with bad puzzles.

I love your games! Grain of Truth, Trader 1, now this? I just wish there was a way to reread the last message or thing someone said, my trackpad causes me to click when I don't mean to sometimes and I don't want to miss anything!

tried to click on the guy that appeared in the beginning, it skipped his dialogue. Restarted... opening crawl can't be skipped T_T. Also, I really wish time-sensitive quests wouldn't use stuff from the middle of incomplete series..

If you are stuck on the second puzzle during the Dew story (the one with the green triangles), try refreshing, especially if it looks like there are missing pieces

The game is extremely long, not all markers of interactions are placed correctly, the UI is neither intuitive nor consequent and the badge is certainly longer than a medium.
