Description
Twitch Defense puts you in a tiny ship (larger if you upgrade ;) ) and it is your job to defend your galaxy from the ever approaching hordes of evil spaceships... okay, who am i kidding, there story is non existant :)
This is an old school shooter game, kind of mixed with reaction based dance games like Dance dance revolution or guitar hero.
As you progress through the game, the enemies will need more shots, so you will have to time your bullets to avoid killing the green powerups.
How to Play
WASD/ARROWS to shoot ships, but avoid hitting the green powerup.
E to replay
T for title
Developer Updates
- You will now lose only 25% of your total combo when you shoot a powerup (previously: 100% was lost)
- Added 3 new enemies

Game should really be square rather than rectangular, shooting to the sides will make your bullets disappear before they hit the side. Also, there should be a plot or something to drive the player to keep playing. Finally, all the enemies are very similar. The game stays the same difficulty no matter how far in you go, just with longer times to get to the hard part. Adding enemies that can shoot bullets, block, speed up, etc. would greatly improve the game.
Thanks for the feedback :) I agree with your suggestions, but they are not within the scope of this game. I had shooting enemies and some that would block/go invisible, but it made the game too difficult said my testers, so it was reverted to a simpler style, with faster moving enemies.

Pretty good, though later I would like the option to skip to a later part.
Thank you! :D If you upgrade your Combo, it will increase your minimum combo as well as the chance of finding green powerups, which will increase your score faster. As a result, you will be advancing through the enemies faster.

The first enemies are ok to build up your combo but it takes way too long to arrive to the hard part again.
Also, the green combos thing is quite annoying. They move so fast that if you try and kill enemies that are far away, it'll hit a combo that appeared suddenly. Make it so you lose 25% of your combo maybe, not start again from zero.
That is a very valid point. As it is now, you do not start from zero combo, you will always start from the minimum combo, determined by your COMBO Upgrade level. However, I do see what you're saying about losing too much. As 1 single mistake does kind of ruin the whole score streak with little to no chance of recovering after that. So as of next update, you will take a 25% reduction to combo points, whenever you shoot a Powerup. (The powerup will remain as annoying as it ever was :P ) Thanks a lot for playing, and taking the time to provide me with feedback! I appreciate it! :)

Minor glitch: Pressing pause does not stop bullet timer so you could make them disappear instantly.
Thanks for the report. I'm working on getting it fixed asap! :)

The game is better off with not spending points in the combo upgrade as you get very little from collecting them but if you shoot one you lost almost all of your combos.
Upgrading the Combo will increase your minimum combo and your maximum combo, meaning you wont lose all your combo when you shoot a green powerup, and also your potential to score higher will increase, due to higher cap on combo. Thanks for playing! :)
