also set up your music bars to match the equipment and "objects" you have equipped. its more about a correlative problem-solving method than music really
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you dont need to know how to write music to compose it in this game, just use the clues you are given to create a strategy on a stage you are stuck on to help you beat it

Great concept, although it's unfinished. If you added other notes to the music sheet, it would help immensively. Great music too!

The game seems like it would be good, but it is very much a niche game, and while I respect that, and I respect the quality of it, I cant give it more than 3/5 simply because I am no part of that niche. I sang in a choir for years, I played some piano, but I could never read music. I memorize things and honestly, this just is too big to tackle for the sake of a flash game. I spend the whole game on random cat just running around slapping things. Still, for a 3/5 it is remarkably well done and I would expect certain audiences would love it.

After the first bugfix I was able to advance beyond all the impossible stages. But Now I've got everything passed - not gold, but passed, except for 7-8 which is absolutely impossible no matter the strategy; melee, arrows, burning, stunning, music block traps, etc nothing does enough damage or slows them down enough to win the level. Focusing on the ghosts going for the 4 (now 5?) stars on the left is useless because the ghosts are so overwhelming and hit all those stars right away even if those are all I focus on defending.

1/5. If you're not a hipster or in a band, you won't even get to enjoy this crap. Well done nerdook for singling out your fanbase.

Purely quarter notes restricts composition and makes everything sound boring, regardless of how many lines you are given. The game has way too many levels given the simplicity of the concept, and nothing really new is added to each level. A preview function would also have been nice, so one could actually see what block each note activated. 3/5

I don't really know how to compose music at all, so I didn't find the game very enjoyable because I didn't know what I was doing other than running around hitting ghosts with a stick.

I have a background in composing, so this game was amazing for me, but I can see where the average gamer would run into problems; the tutorial is far too short and the game itself is basically a concert in planning with no real replay value 4/5

terrible terrible tutorial. I didn't get it and it didn't really seem like it had enough potential to justify feeling my way through the game.

An interesting game, deserves a 3/5 for concept. I am however, absolutely abysmal in all things musical, so sadly I cannot fully enjoy this game.

I didn't like it, 2/5. I will however give you 4/5 as it is in a category I don't like, it gives a different spin on music games and that is the point of the competition. Good work.

Completed 80%+ of the levels using no notes at all. The +15 damage on rest notes and aoe weapon make everything too easy.

Typical nerdook crappy game. Sadly, this time people are actually realizing it and not blindly 5/5ing it simply because he made it.

Pretty sure its not how its meant to be played, but with the wooden leg and the singlet, you can easily beat all but the "No Hands" levels without playing a single note...

games kindda lame. not your best. you threw it out there to win that stupid challange. no body likes music games except for musicians and people who want to be them. How many people out there would like to be a pianist. Well not me. Good try though. with this being a musical based game yes great game for people out their who don't have slow fingers or un musical-esk fingers.
but from a gamers point of view. Random and sat on the waypoint block and left the room to clean. Really boring mate.
so for the music part 3/5
from a gamers point of view 1/5
So im giving you one more then what i gave the other game i voted a 2/5
dont make another musical game please. Stick with what your good with.

A very unique concept, but it didn't make for a great game. I could see a sequel (direct or spiritual) being a hit. However, this game pushes people to simply hit the random button instead of composing, and standing in front of enemies. It's difficult to connect composition and play. Outside of composing, the game feels more like watching than playing. The presentation is very well polished as usual, but the gameplay is lacking. 3/5

You. Kitty with the Cheshire grin, yeah you. You know you are the one to blame for all these ghosts. No worries, I won't tell anyone.

I found that 5-20 seconds of my life is not long, all you do is choose one note from the left then one from the right, not sure if thats how all music on a piano is made or just a game restricton but i found that sometimes it didnt sound so bad

First of all, many Kudos to Dave Greening. The main theme is absolutely marvelous. I love the way the level selection is played out, spreading out, and adding more lines to compose on as you progress. The only thing I could suggest is different values of notes, i.e. half, eighth, dotted, etc. Stunning game.

also fun is just picking a song and hoping it works for your level alot of them are amazing and lots work so yeah those levels i coulndt get gold i just got godl wtih the other peoples music.

i like this game as have no clue how the hell music works but i beat it without random but i noticed numbers like b1 and i saw a wall of bricks there so id try to uncover all of those after screwing around with 1 piece notes to find out which is in line b1 and stuff after finding what notes activates each block this is extremely fun even for someone who cant follow music for shit love it and love you nerdook

Contrary to popular belief, MOST of the levels can be finished WITHOUT PLAYING ANY MUSIC... well except for bg music and sfx... and provided you have the Singlet.
