i would like to point out that the fast forward button does not operate correctly instead of making the entire game x2 it makes only the movement and turn speed x2 and neglects the time it takes multiple units to leave the spawn pods! this is only a minor game error but can be annoying when trying to overrun your opponent with lots of small enemies!

The game is great, but i think that units should be adjusted for free, but you can upgrade them with money, to give them additional bonuses such as: 30% more damage. Just a suggestion through. And lives are stupid, because Nerdook's games have a great replayable value.

This game is tremendously fun. However, the unit balance is a bit... interesting. I was able to clear all but the last level using four light infantry and a rocket sentry (bonus from a previous clear). It shouldn't take the introduction of the most powerful unit in the game to defeat a basic swarming strategy.

This game shows a ton of promise but it lacking a little bit of depth that could make it insanely awesome: (1) An ability to set up your own battles... choose the enemy's army and your own, or fight against random enemies while choosing your own army (or using random). (2) Needs more waypoints to select for units to run at before attacking the enemy... in other words, more varied maps. (3) 1v1 is awesome... how about 1v1v1 or 2v2 or 1v1v1v1 maps?? Those three things would add tons of depth for huge single player re-playability.

Overall, another awesome game nerdook :)
Just a couple of things I reckon could be noted:
1. Make a page where we can all see the pros and cons of all the different robots. That'd make it a lot more convenient strategic-wise.
2. The 25% tax and no fame after losing all 3 lives rather demotivates players. It'd be good if you just got rid of the 3 lives thing or changed the punishment to just fame (because cash actually matters in this game)
Apart from that, keep up the good work :)

Since we practically can't do anything during actual battles, all of the strategy occurs at the time of choosing the mercs. This makes the game very frustrating: if you make a mistake, you have to deal with it through annoyingly long battles without having a chance to correct it.

It is a fun game, but I am a little disappointed in the unit management. Upgrading from one level to the next is hideously expensive, and there seems to be no trade in value on existing units. Makes it very hard to fail on your unit choices, versus what you are forced to use again and again.

"Sir, we must have this criminial killed, what shall we do?"
"Let's send a Mercenary Leader, and if he takes too long, just wipe him and the criminial out with an orbital bombardement."
"And, why don't we just bomb the criminal away in the first place?"
"...shaddup"

"Raider: Can be deployed anywhere, but cannot take over territory. This naturally makes them asshats." Best unit description ever.

oh nm, just lose the battle and you get the cash anyway. i think you shouldnt have to fire units though, maybe jsut put them on standby so you can keep leveling them...

One orbital blast to me, 5 to the enemy... Wait.. if someone can blast both of our bases why dont they just destroy the enemy base anyway? He's a terrorist!

I normally love nerdook games but this one was a letdown. I'll give it a 3/5 but he normally doesn't put penalties in his games why start now. and i wouldn't mind a continue on function or something but it's just disapointing.

@greenthunder Generally, people who say games suck just because of the graphics are idiots who shouldn't even play video games.

It seems like the Beginning of a good game - I'm with neonights below in that we have all these great units now, but nowhere to use them. I just don't do pvp very much. Skip more new units. Let us play with the units we have. Biggest complaint is the limitation of five units only - would also be very good to expand army size to allow for more complex battles

Great game, 5/5
My one criticism: Too short, you only get one battle to test out new units and because everything's so expensive it's almost impossible to try everything in a single run. The real Bummer is after the final battle because you don't get a chance to edit your army before submitting it.

What this game needs is: 1- The ability to substitute units without additional cost. If we could bank some, or get a refund when swapping it would allow more strategy in selection and deployment. 2 - Infinite play mode. I really want to be able to take my army to random planets or play against posted rogue armies over and over once I get a good setup. An Infinite play mode would go a long way to improve the replay value of the game.

Get rid off the orbital attacks and turn based system and allow for the players to have a smoother game play experience and this is a 5/5 game but right now it can only be a 3/5 game , which is too bad as this game could be very great.

After losing the three lives on your first try, try the mission you failed again, press quit, collect money, repeat untill you have enough cash to actually beat the mission and the missions that you have left to get the medium badge, find another game and forget about this one. realtime/turn based? scratch the real time, this IS turn based.

Nerdook, how do you do it man, every time you come out with a new game I think "WOW, this is amazing, he'll never to be able to top THIS!" and every time you come out with a new game I think "Damn, I cant believe he toped that last one, well he'll never be able to top this one. Right?"

I love the descriptions because they are both funny and useful, but wish that you didn't only get to see them when you first get the units
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wish there was a way to see the descriptions of the units, as in the ones in words which you see when you get them, not just the stats, at any point

The lives don't make much sense. Especially since I quit the game on purpose (since I get money anyway) so I can hire stronger mercs. What does fame do again?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ending was a little weak. I never got to use all the units or test different strategies. There should be a sandbox or replay levels or hard mode at the end. Also, I thought if I went rogue I would get to fight more like in Nerdook's other games (end now or continue the fight).

dont bother catching or retaining flags, just attack the boss and keep attacking him. your game should be won pretty quickly
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It just seems more like a game where whoever spams the most (powerful) soldiers in the battle wins. The Deployment/Action phase also seems slightly superfluous, since the placements of our soldiers can keep re spawning in that same place.

Doesn't it seem weird that the same mission switches planets if you mess up.
me: Hey boss, I just messed up, can I go to the ice planet to try again?
boss: oh, sure
me: now I'm almost there
*radio crackles*
boss: wait no... you're at the level 9 planet

mortars would be soooooo much more effective if they didn't target the fastest unit available...can they even HIT the bombers and gunships they love so much?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Personally I'd say 4 lights and 1 rocket.. The 4th bounty has two tanks, and the rocket really helps deal with them. That one still went well into the orbital bombardment phase. Other than that, nothing else came close. The "stronger" units have such comically poor respawn times compared to their level of strength that all they do is hamstring the AI for being forced to use them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Like about 50% of Nerdook's games - great at the start and then it just gets ridiculously difficult because of constraints which can't really be offset even by good strategy.

AMAZING GAME!!! But like everyone before said, too short. Needs some replay or maybe the ability to generate a random enemy army? Also if you start adding stuff, consider a barracks to store a few spare units in.
