All skills that effect defense must be altered. Use mitigation or dodge rate. A +10 defense or a -20 defense on a base defense of 200 is utterly useless at best it moves mitigation by a percent.

I am sad there are only 40 lvls. At least the gear continues to go up. The tutorial heals til about lvl 7. For the people whining about money; try adding some int. I put pts into int until 100 and grabbed the hit talent for a little while. I got 3 into it by then you'll be cruising through the levels. If you're still having trouble with money kill some spiders for your healing. Researcher is definitely way too easy. Time to try another class!

hr game is inplayable cause you have 2 wait 2 minutes before you can atack when comp has many units
their move animations should by faster or none
right now i just watching those clone squares move around for ages !!

Int ~150+ gives you unlimited money, folks. Kinda game-breaking, but meh. That and Patch really make researchers the easiest class to play.

My personal review:
The font is a pain to read. I gave up trying to read the story because of it.
2: The bar showing skill upping progress should extend once you reach 100. Otherwise you just level up to... the same gold bar! Ha. (just reset it to as if the score in it was 1 once it hits 101 but keep the property of 101)
It gets old fast.

I like the Fallout system you've got going here, but it becomes mundane quite quickly. Different enemies? Allies (I hate computer allies, but they add some variety)? A decent inventory system? A story? Not a big fan of the lottery item system that requires money that you never seem to earn. Solid start, weak finish.

Nice game, but it can definitely use some more variety in the enemies, and a bit more storyline wouldn't hurt, either. A cheaper method of healing (other than dying or leveling up) would be nice. Some of the bugs are real problematic, such as the one that stops you from moving unless you interact with something like a door; also the one where an enemy will freeze in their death animation, and it leaves you stuck in combat mode even if it was the last enemy on the level.

Those that are complaining about weapon accuracy just suck. I started as a vagrant (hardest class, i think it said) and I've zipped through levels 1-5 already. I'm finding the game pretty repetative but certainly not difficult. The only suggestion I have for the creator is to add something to make me want to keep playing.

Superb as it is, and it will quickly become a web classic if you follow KittenFlaps' and koaladood's suggestions. Remember, too, that when people actually bother to suggest specific bug fixes and changes, it's because they like it enough not to shrug and try something else...

My kingdom for a Tuned Rossi....
Great game. Needs a lot of tuning, feels like a beta, but ultimately, if you fix the obvious flaws (expensive and rare weapons suck, repetitive enemies, etc) you'll have a top 5 game in no time and the second game on my favorites! Get to work!

add a way to drop items from your inventory to the ground or something! fix the to-hit things. fix the lack of a rotating camera. maybe add a minimap or something for getting back to the exit point.

RandaxKull said,
"There should only be about 1 miss per 5-6 attacks, not 1 hit per 10 attacks. Nice try but currently unplayable past lvl 3."
There is a whole stat connected to hit/miss. Which is explained, and the miss rates are unmissable over the targets' heads. If you miss too often get closer or get more hit.

Nice proof of concept. Thin content even for the repetitive sort of game it is. Extremely easy--once my Vagrant had a decent 3 AP gun I stopped looking at the screen during fights. 1,1,1, arrow key (to burn spare AP point). With talent to get -1 AP it became start level, listen for combat sound. 1,1,1,1,1 repeat until wandering mobs were down then go find the defenses.

to the "unplayable past level 3 comment" - it gets easier the farther in, the shop pays you to buy items, you get 75%dodge, 90%+crit and 95% to hit by level 26...

getting swarmed by spiders isn't a problem, if you end your turn 2 spaces away from them they don't have enough action points to make an attack...if you get backed into a wall just walk through the spiders ;)

Either more loot needs to drop, or the loot that does needs to be worth more. Also, accuracy is horrible. There should only be about 1 miss per 5-6 attacks, not 1 hit per 10 attacks. Nice try but currently unplayable past lvl 3.

After all the bugs I just saw, I'd have normally given this game a one, but I'm giving it a two because it has potential. Fix all of the bugs, and I mean ALL of them, and we'll see about another 2 stars.

well having to go through the tutorial every time i want to heal seems somewhat tedious. Also, ive now noticed that if you return to your room before finishing a level you basically reset that level, allowing a player to just farm one particular level for items and experience...

you miss way to freaking much. It pisses me off, like seriously. I never get pissed off on flash games but goddamn. miss miss miss miss...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Always carry an explosive + regular gun. Stay just outside splash range and attack with the generators - you won't get swarmed as much.
Regular gun is for when they're really close, or for just wandering aroud. I use a sniper thing (7 range)

This game does need some tweaking, but overall it isn't that bad. I think you should fix up some of the skills for the classes (maybe include an offensive skill for the researcher), although some skills are almost even overpowered, like the Cyborg's Berserk. with the right weapon you can get 10 attacks in a single round, although the accuracy is so poor even at 60% that about 7 of them will miss. And maybe allow for more ability points earned per level up, because as it stands it's absolutely useless to upgrade anything other than perception for a good portion at the start of the game. And finally I think maybe the player should get more money, be it from drops or recycling, than what were getting right now. It's just downright impossible to get anything when you're blowing all your money just to buy healing items.

glitch: if you kill a spider when it spawns witha gernade attacking the spawner, they don't dissappear and cause moreglitches

1) Fix the skills. All of them are useless except for Offensive Stance
2) Set a spawn limit for spiders and clones
3) Fix the melee weapon range. The +1 weapon range talent does not for melee weapons
4) Fix the skills. They are completely useless
