kreds are ruining this site because I have to wade through 20,000+ complaints about kreds before I see a useful comment.

+ the depth of progression and modes is great.
- the kreds thing is a little unnerving, but as long as it's all obtainable through reasonable play then i'm okay with it.
- a fast forward button where you didn't have to hold it would be great.
- i got major slow downs on my quad-core past level 60. please allow for quality setting choices.

Everyone is complaining about the kreds because this is a FLASH GAME. If a developer wants to make money, go make a legitimate game. Flash games are meant to be portfolio type games to show what a developer can do, not a full-fledged game. "Oh, they just want to make some more money on the side." Ffs go work at McDonald's. You'll make more.

after watching a youtube video explaining strategy, i made it up to level 135 on 1st track after which the game got so laggy it froze and i had to close the window LOL

I can understand being able to buy the content with Kreds. Just make it possible to EARN everything instead of just Rank 31.

the reason kongregate introduced kreds was because they needed to make money to keep the site up, but i agree, they are runining games

What a horrible game.
At first I was only annoyed by the stupid (stupid stupid stupid!) Powerpool track that I just can't understand!
Then, I noticed the kreds... just.. ugh, horrible.

It's not terribly surprising that flash games have entered the "micro-transaction" market. There are many proper PC games (Battlefield Heroes, for instance) that are free but make money from micro-transactions. I would like to know if the developer make more money this way, or if they could make a free game for Kong and then sell a better "full" version, kinda like what PopCap type companies do.

-2 stars for having everything get erased every time I close the game. And having to hold down the speed up button is a bad idea.

i agree with the kreds point of view....either get rid of them or make an easy way to earn them, like giving out kreds for certain achievments.

yeah nice game. i love it as usual but the top commenters are right kreds are ruining this site. many don't want to buy $5.99 stuff for a flash game. also at newgrounds you could get the frag bomb upgrade for free here you can't. 4/5 for kreds.

Ok, this anti-kred spam is getting old. Grow up folks. there's no reason you have to buy any of that stuff to play the game. Enjoy the free portion, which is an excellent FREE game, and if someone wants to throw their money at the developers for the extras, that's their business.

Hard badge without kreds is perfectly possible guys... just not as easy to get on the first try as the medium ones. You just need to get farms and upgrade them like crazy so you have 5+ fully upgraded farms for the endgame that net you 10K+ each round.

I'll never quite get why people are griping about Kreds on this game. Out of the past few that have been kred-based; this one has actually been not only fair on the scaling of Kred:Powerup but also is actually WORTH the kred dump. Nobody *has* to pump out Kreds for this game! I've found that unlocking the full version to be worth it; though some of the powerups can be game-breaking. NK's contributed 6 games with an expanded playerpack while asking for no more than a "tip me 10 cents if you like it" ethic. Freeware isn't forever. NK Made a marketable game and STILL kept it practically freeware with minor unlockables to give a feel of a "full version". NK did it fair and professionally! While I may not exactly agree with Kongs recent choice of games for achievements system - devs do have to keep afloat. They need to start somewhere for resume/experience/education. Stop crying and try to understand that. PS: Go cry to steam for the same ethic.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but this Ice Tower still has the Grade icon by it, even after being fully upgraded, strange.
