This game is one of the worst examples for being a (possible) money trap: unbalanced (e.g. even with a higher level of heroes and weapons one gets too easily beaten by apparently weaker foes) and unfair (foes can draw at once from the special skills why the player has to wait sometimes ages until they are ready to use) gameplay combines with either the need for grinding or wasting away lots of cash.
Ninja Kiwi, this time you had really blew it - we're used better games from you.

shit-game. eats resources, brakes, and timers do not brake, they work as it should. PVP is simply not possible to win even from a deliberately weak player.

this game is bad at the way that too much downtime when fighting...monsters at lv 5 can be faster than all my heroes at lv 40.....why doesnt the speed of a hero increase with level? when fighting 9 monsters, i can 1 shot kill them all with a fireball, but i have to wait 18 turns before my heroes 1st move... sucks

i won 31 floor for first time and reach there first time heroes: blackguard that made 33% damage of boss druid barbarian skill and knight. good luck for 31 floor all players you will unlock it when you reach 30 floor

theres definately a bug in the code of this game. Being able to perfectly run graphic heavy 1st gen single player games with no lag, but running a 2d browser based game causes acumulatively lag. Any kind of browser nor settings changes this.
If this is not intentional, the company should really look into their coding.
Who knows - they might even be datamining off our GPU's while we play the game!

200K skill points, neither characters nor keeper level maxed out, yet I can't do anything for the Skill Point festival. I can't even throw the SP into the void to participate? :-|

I'm no computer pro but if your device lags, make sure that your device has enough space to run properly. Hope this helps.

Hey, I found what is causing the lag on Chrome. To solve this, type in address bar chrome://flags and search there for Autoplay policy. Set it to "No user gesture is required" and restart the browser. Keep in mind that you may hear unwanted sounds from other sites.

Found a way to resolve my lag issues: change browser from chrome to firefox. Make sure adblock software is running. played through several levels, towers, and dragon challenges all day no lag. starting to think it's a browser and ad related problem. game functions fine.

@blupunk changing to firefox fixes the lag for many people (while others still report lag). One person in chat said edge had less lag than Chrome.

I'm seeing comments on the lag going back at least five days. It has made timed events virtually unplayable. Please get on it.

NK didn't make the lag... browser updates did. I suddenly got bad lag after an update.. reverted to chrome version 64, no lag again. Stop blaming devs and start finding solutions/blaming browsers :)

Ninja Kiwi needs to get off their butt and patch whatever they messed up. The lag, especially in Chrome, makes it unplayable. I hate to leave the game as I have spent money on it, but if they do not care enough to fix the problems they made in their coding it just shows the worth of the developer.

The lag in Firefox is worse than Chrome on my machine. In Firefox It even starts while loading the game and is all the time. In Chrome it starts after some rounds are played and only during battles usually after 2nd or 3rd round, if I kill the enemies fast enugh I don't get lag. In the console I can see this log: "warning: 2 FS.syncfs operations in flight at once, probably just doing extra work".

Lag is being caused by a chrome update. Nothing to do with the game itself. Try a different browser or roll-back chrome version to 64.0.3282.140 or earlier if you know how to get around googles BS forced updates.

Since around last week the game lags more the longer you play, can't beat one tower anymore because at level 5 the lag will make you loose to the timer runing out. I tried different browsers and different systems (macbook pro i7 and a modern i7 6core windows pc) still the same!

Whoever suggested switching to Firefox, that didn't fix the lag problem for me. I have no idea what they changed, but this game is now virtually unplayable.

Definitely feels like it is some sort of memory leak going on in combat. The slow down is accumulative with each round and by the 4th and 5th ground of a battle it barely moves, yet the timer still goes....

It would appear that the simplest way to defend your tower is just to stick 5 monsters with taunt and a cleric to resurrect them or a druid to keep healing them.

The progressive lag in tower battles makes this part of the game unplayable. Makes it kinda hard to gain prestige for the guild. This sucks.

I had checked both firefox and Chrome and it did it in both. I contacted Geek Squad and they told me my video card was probably going bad. It was only a GT 610. I bought a new card and had to buy a new monitor as well as my old one was over 12 years old and would not hook up to the new card. With both new items the game is working fine. I think the main problem is that the game does not let you adjust the graphics level and older cards can not handle it. It did the same thing when I tried Cursed Treasure again because it is known to have a memory leak problem. Maybe this game has some sort of memory problem affecting the video cards as they stay maxed out when they get there?

jim what browser are you using? Have you tried a different one? I've been hearing people have trouble with Chrome. You should email ninjakiwi support btw.

So I tried again after my video card had cooled down. The game loaded and I went to the PvP tower battles and even loaded the first battle with no major increase in heat.
The battle started with no increase in heating. As soon as the energy got to be enough to use shield tactics for the Warmaster character I clicked on it. There was an immediate spike of about 5 or 6 degrees Celsius and the heat just kept climbing from there. Even after I won the tower battle and went back to the main town screen the heat kept going up.
I had to refresh the game to get it to go back down.

The screen going black for me like it was going to sleep but not waking back up is being caused by my video card getting too hot and shutting down. I broke out the GPU-Z and monitored my game play. In campaign battles everything is fine. On the main town screen everything is fine. Catacombs everything is fine. PvP tower battles caused some heating upand I can only do three or four before heat starts to be worrisome. Hero battles the heat shoots up on the first one whether against another player or the Wizard's chosen. The heating stays there even when I go back to the town screen. All the video card clocks stay maxed out and the only way to stop the maxing out and overheating is to actually refresh the game or just leave it entirely. I have been playing for a couple of months now and this just started a couple of weeks ago?

While in battles on this game either tower or hero something causes my screen to just go black. I have to hard restart my computer when it happens. I have checked all hardware and all of it works fine. It does not happen on anything else, just when playing this game. It happened twice when I left the game on the main in game screen and was gone for a few minutes without taking any in game actions.

@SkybirdP Possibly your Inventory causes this lags, when you've stored loads of items. Sell 'em and the game speeds up.

Can anyone tell me why when I play in a PVP battle more than about 5 mins, the game will lag lag lag. It takes me more than 10 sec to do an action. Then the timer counter count down to 0 and I lose.
