initial loading took less then a minute for me, and my pc is old and crancky :D
Yeahh, King's Bounty online ... 5/5 ! Best game of the Year !

I like this game. The devs really do care for the players, that is the game does not force us to pay in order to gain a very noticeable advantages both PvE or PvP. Premium units, Immortal and Legendary, are awarded at some levels and if they die you don't even need premium currency to buy them back. Even better, there is another FREE way to get more premium units: Wanted battles. Premium items are used to accelerate your game progress for the impatient or those who don't have many time to play games, no benefits for battles. I'm at level 9 right now and I think I will keep playing this for a while. Funny Dragon Age shout-out by the way XD
We hope that you will not change your opinion, and we in our turn will keep improving the game, adding more awesome features and making our players happy!

Normally I despise energy system games. However, this one is actually decent. Still think it shouldn't be in there, but the gameplay is too good for me to complain xD

I love it! The initial load time is a beast which I guess I would expect after seeing what all is in the game. Afterwards it wasn't too bad. The battles are fun, everything about it is fun. There is a sense of loss when I lose units on the battlefield and I work hard to manage and keep up my numbers. And there isn't too much downtime from stamina. The one thing that would set this game far and apart is the story. It is hard to feel engaged in the quest-mission/story mechanic. I guess I suggest something like a 2+character dialogue, like say fire emblem or other classic rpgs in the genre to pull you into the game and establish key characters. If you set up a great story in chapters and add to it whenever you release a content patch, that is what will keep many players coming back for more. + plus if you consider this a good idea.

*starts game* This game looks great. *After first battle* Huh? What is that?Energy? Reloads in X minutes? Oh crap. *alt + f4*

It's a Unity game. Why wasn't it marked as such on Kong main page so I know right away that it won't work on my PC? Other Unity games at least have an icon.

"Looks like you cam only fight in those fetid packs!" cam should be can on the intro screen. Overall, a very nice game.

Might wanna replace "long waited" with "long awaited" in the game info. The former accidentally implies a negative you probably don't want to advertise.
You need to reach level 8 to take part in PvP battles.
To enter the battle, you need to press the spacebar (or a big green button at the bottom of the screen) and then click on the button, called "PvP".

Apologize for doing a second comment so quick. But after double-checking my Kongregate profile and the game's avatar displayed in the inventory screen... they aren't matching up. My Kongregate profile has the gender set as female, but the game gives me the male avatar.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Huh, interesting. I should peek into my profile then. But moving onto the rest!
Well I do like that it still feels basically like Armored Princess. Just, as I mentioned, easier then I remember which isn't bad really, I found Armored Princess was surprisingly brutal early on. Maybe I'm just not thinking in the right ways yet however.
I will put some more time into it and see how it feels a bit more. At the early stages the stamina doesn't seem like it'll be a problem due to the fact you level up pretty fast, but I wonder how it'll play out as I get higher level... I suppose it's normal for browser online games to have a feature to limit your playtime however.
At least, I assume if you lack stamina you can't do anything since you require it to fight or travel...

I'm guessing you may have gotten this already. But is this game supposed to be very similar to the Heroes of Might and Magic series.

Oh, and please fix the touchy-ness regarding connections - I keep getting kicked out, and there's no quick 'retry' button to regain connection.

Another stamina-restricted game? Is there a particular reason you do not want people to play your games for too long at a time?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I did play Armored Princess once, and this game isn't too bad. Also seems less difficult at the start, but that is likely due to the fact it is a online version of the game...
Still, I am a bit disappointed we do not get a choice of our character and instead get forced to use a male character. Could we not get the option to play as a heroine as well?
The choice of gender depends on the gender you've selected in your Kongregate profile settings.
And besides the things you've mentioned, what do you like or dislike?

Also, I think some silly light minigame would keep many players that will never play because of the initial loading time, I saw it on other games with high load times :P

First of all, I must say I'm a big fan of the saga, I finished doing all the quests of King's Bounty: The Legend on Steam, and I will start playing Armored Princess when I finish some other games I'm playing.
I'm glad to see this browser game holds the level of The Legend, so it gets a 5/5 and fav from me, and I will keep playing it for now. However, I don't like the smell of "freemium" this game has got, I understand you developers need the money, however I prefer other money income systems, like pay once and unlock the game, or using the VIP points just for special items that don't make these players stronger than the rest. But I have played just for 2 hours, and I'm not sure how relevant these "premium" items will be, just wondering about it.
Thanks for your feedback and opinion. We greatly appreciate it!
You know, there are plenty of ways of getting the items from the Royal Shop without spending huge sums of money. E.g. at a certain point you'll have the opportunity to do the so-called "wanted" quests and get Immortal and Legendary units in reward.

I have a suggestion: try to add some simple screen before the loading starts. This screen could say something like: you need this and this computer and this version of unity (or check the client's unity version and say if it's ok) and this version of these browsers (or detect browser and version and say if it's ok). And there could be some button like "start loading now".
Why to do this? Because it takes a lot of CPU time and memory to load it on slower computers. I could do nothing (even moving cursor was laggy) for 5 minutes until my browser crashed. It can make many people angry and they will not try your game again just because of it. I think that this starting screen could save time for many people with slower computers who would like to try the game and it could tell them what to do to make the game running. I think that now you can lose many players just because they don't have right version of Unity installed or something.

No idea what the game even is as it's loading but man, 5/5 just from the dev response. Can see some copyright issues though!
Did you manage to load the game? Have you already started playing? Feel free to share impressions and thoughts! Your feedback is very important for us!
P.S. And what's wrong with copyright?)

is there a way to decrease the screen space the game takes up? or maybe i can do that from my computer but my resolution is full and the game is still too tall to fit

Love this. I've always been a fan of HOMM series, and this definitely revives my love for the series. Thank you so much, 5/5.

It feels like there's no retry mechanism when a HTTP request fails. Things either happen within a few seconds of things being clicked, or they never happen at all. (That brings up another issue: too much stuff is being stored on a central server. Just about every action requires a server request, and it waits for the server to say something. I suppose it's an anti-cheating mechanism, but couldn't you have made the HTTP request non-blocking so I can get on with inventory management or accepting quests or whatever?)

King's Bounty... I played the HELL out of Armored Princess. This is just plain awesome to see. I had no idea this game existed until today... I was missing out! And all the music's still there, too! Yeah... I'm content. 5/5
King's Bounty: Legions is a different game. Yes, it's the same universe and all, but it has a lot of features that are not present in the original King's Bounty.
