to start with little girl(always works) select roguo then game MODs then back and select your class to start with the girl. Another nice bug is to get hard badge(+inv slot, u need to get 25medals) and click game mods->back->repeat. for each click you get +1 inv slot :D

How do you get the Elonian badge? It says that you get it when you win the first round, but it couldn't be talking about beating days, because I've beaten plenty of those.

in the end i find the best class is rogue.. get a revolver and never look back. never buy chickens just get trainers. Get a noble for the cook skill and always shoot the parachute rats. Rogue is also easier because you can start on weapon skills (cool/reload) immediately without wasting levels on party skills. my rogue is currently lvl 410 on day 186 using this strategy.

When using a bowgun, does the reloading skill have an impact? (since it doesn't have a reloading time) Or would cool be more effective?

I some how managed to be a sheriff and start with a shotgun AND a little girl. I don't know how. (Plus it gave me ragnarok first level)

3 tips: To do Ragnarok, uses an area gun like shotgun, or granades, or holy grail. Shoot in the head. I've done 3 Ragnorks together with only a 3 level 20 granade; To finish the game, have a helper with grav gun with leech; and play the game in casual for medals, before u try anything else.

@Raptork: Know what the save file is called? I've got a corrupted game, want to see if I can restore the savefile, but not sure what it is called, and dont want to restart the game and create a new one!

To survive Ragnarok: Use hunter, mk 6 bowgun with bowmaster 7 or better, 1 or 2 holy grails of jure, then fire like hades

A little tip for those who struggle with hardcore mode: game save files are stored on your computer so you can find them (enable hidden objects search), copy into different folder and paste back in case you fail:-)

Just a few tips for those who are new.
1. Best class to begin with is most definitely the Sheriff, the auto shotty is amazing as long as you don't get Dr. Holliday.
2. For teamates always take Sheriffs and Rangers. Give Rangers gravity guns later on and they wreak some serious havok.
3. Don't be afraid to play on casual mode with some easier settings on the first go through. You NEED medals to survive this. Is best to do one play through to get a shitload of medals that way you stand a chance when you play on normal or hardcore.

This game is underdocumented in-game for how complex it is. I mean the game play itself is point-and-shoot, but the underlying mechanics are not really that clear. It's rather difficult. As a rogue, I quickly got to a point where I couldn't progress without hiring a henchman every day. Weapon upgrades in particular are hard to come by.

Beginner tip.. USE THE HUNTER. Their passive sucks, but they have penetration.. Which means it'll hit 2 targets, even more with their Marksman passive. Every other class sucks by comparison at first.

lol, killed like half the ragnarok guys and got like 5 levels, then holy grail ran out and i died INSTANTLY lol they were halfway through their attack.. i now have -18health

Read about the Grav Gun being so great on some posts, thought I would get one... Boy does it seem horrible. Slow travel, and doesn't actually do too much damage to an enemy who moves fast.
So I got myself 3 hirelings, all Merc or whatever (special is lobbing free grenades) thinking that with the free boom-booms and some Impact 3 Grav Guns they would keep the map clear for me. Even with Reload 20 on a pair of them, the shot rate was horrible.
Instead, I am trying a game now where me and all my hirelings are Hunters with Penetration maxed out. Our crossbows fly through EVERYTHING, and with a few fire rate enhancements (one being an AutoFire for myself), we keep the map clear easily.
Heck, I even popped Ragnarok on day 15, right after getting my own bow set up nicely. Dragons are the best targets since you hit them about 7 times each. Anyway, I cleared all but 5 of them before they even tried to fire at my castle :)

ok....i found this out the hard way... if you get Ragnarök (that Japanese sword thing) don't use it, and if you do, get ready to die D:
