Mageyan - the truth is that taunt doesn't increase enemy HP at all. If you're past wave 40, though, the enemies will have (I think) double the HP

Some medals are not being awarded to me. I've done the things for the sister/pray/party medals and I'm not getting them.

I thought 'Taunt' makes mob become stronger temporarily, but it looks like becoming stronger permanently.
What's TRUTH?

I agree. The RNG needs reworking (lol, what was the point of 'random' anyway) so that it could drop items compatible to the player's levels. First day,and I get a Rifle 11 item. wth
But darn it, I keep coming back to play this thing. 5/5 if you ask me. Even with its flaws.

I have to say, this game needs badges like hardcore, very fun game, best online game I've seen in a long time, I'm honestly surprised that it hasn't gotten badges yet. The only con of this game, the rng is really really random, one game couldn't get CRAP, next game, rag on the 2nd day, grav gun on the 3rd, waited for 2 grails, blew the hell out of rag. Great game, 10/5.

@megafatguy- I accually like the randomness. It makes the game better, for instance if it's all the same, all you'd have to do is upgrade the weapon repeatedly. It's not like in real life, everyday has something fixed for you.

I'm sporting the typical strategy for beating this game: Bowgun with piercing and impact. Rapid or not doesn't really matter so long as it fires decently fast. I got a 4slot normal bowgun, shoved impact, leech, damage, and fire rate in it. I'm currently on day 99, it's relatively easy. My tip: get a sheriff, give him an autoshotgun, and point him at the sky. You won't be sorry. Also, get a guardian, they're insanely useful for the "party" skills. Armor Piercing mod with maxed armor piercing skill on a normal bowgun is also imba. I oneshot catapults (heavy armor takes MORE damage from my shots.)

cool game btw, 4/5 for game play addiction, 0/5 for randomness that makes NO sense. (why bother selling level 1 shotgun in the store when I am on day 50+????? soooo lame)

PLEASE remove SOME of the luck aspects of this, and make it more skill based... WHY? Because some people like to win based on WORK, and not have WASTED time playing a game they like only to feel like we got screwed over, not because we all of a sudden started sucking, but because the game play is so erratic...

you are really rude zarionbloodwind and kind of retarded. it says "Elona is a rogue-like RPG i created" not "Elona shooter is a rogue-like RPG i created."
he put that there as a background for where the game graphics/etc came from.

This isnt a rougelike, rougelikes have no saving, no 'carry over' option, and no casual mode, they are hard, horribly hard, and a shooter in real time will almost never be a true rougelike. Nice game, just improperly titled.

WOW i survied ragnarok on day 15! I was a hunter with the basic weapon had little sister with the basic weapon and a militia with big gun 2. I needed Henchman and I used 2 of those things that makes u invulnurable
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice strategy: equip a noble or ranger with a rapid fire bowgun, and put the impact mod on it, then level up the penetration. Keeps most things at bay.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice game. ONE BUG: I don't get a chance to level up the "bonus" skills (luck and sense), but I do have "accuracy" appear twice in the level up menu.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
LUCK.
This is a good game, doomed to frustration because of the luck required at days 10-?? when you're desperately in need of key upgrades that are entirely luck dependent.
2 out of 5.
5/5 for character/party development
1/5 for game balance
1/5 for game difficulty/progression
3/5 for "polish"
2/5 for the "AP" system

This game is just awesome. I always love "Defense" style shooters, like The last Stand, but this offers so many more playing styles. 5 stars.

Grandlaxe, I just tried playing through again. I NEVER got any weapon to drop that wasn't a big gun that had better than 50% armor damage.
I NEVER got someone for hire that could use big guns (on day 14, and I'd had room for another person since day 5).
So when I'm forced to use a pathetic rifle selection, pistols, and shotguns, I'm screwed against the catapaults.
1 catapault I can handle.
2 in a row I tend to lose.
2 in a row while a boss is around, I'm screwed.
That is the issue with this game. UNTIL you get a good weapon that YOU can use (I was rogue, so needed a laser pistol), you can just wind up SOL.
And yes, I've messed with AI settings. If you tell them to ignore bosses and armored units, you STILL get hosed because you (as a rogue) just cannot take those units out before they do serious damage UNLESS you get lucky and find a laser pistol.

Someone can give me a lil hint how to kill fast the tanks...i get until level +55 end there they killed me...i've started 3 time getting to that levels..please answer me

ah...my question is are you guys playing in hardcore mode or casual? In hardcore i can not last more than 15 days. Plus, what mode do i need to play to get the most metals? Thxs

Adro1337:
U are wrong. The best way to survive is to get different classes, in order to get maximum benefit from group skills, since counts only the highest one... And yes, taunt rocks :)

funny, i am a noble, lvl 661 on day 191. small gun 75, big gun 75, shotgun 110, rifle 110, reloading 252 (410 times faster actually). i get deleted from the hoghscorelist because somebody thinks it isn't possible.
it is. anoble gains 40% more exp anyway. if you kill the parachute-rats in the air you get about 35 exp - per rat. so it is possible to gather up to 20 levels on a single day.

The game has a lot of balance, and very little luck. I dont know why a lot of you complain about how its to hard, for me I can get to round 140+ with every character, and even farther with the noble/sheriff

catapults die from half of the shells of a single shot
tanks die from four shots w/o critical hits
and it also spead shorts so u can hit multiple targets at once
this gets really useful when doin the ragnorok or the animal waves or dragon fly waves that just pit u against a massive number of things at once
LOL against the ragnorok i didnt need a invincability cup thing
i killed the entire line of dragons before they could take two steps
auto shot gun = 1-2 hit kills on dragons once there upgraded only a little bit (mine has leech on it)

they turn out well.
3) use and abuse tuant like crazy i have a merc with tuant 5 and it basicly makes u rich
(just so u know i developed big gun skill on my mercs and gave them chain guns until i found some grav guns ect ect)
3) auto shot gun. this is ur bread and butter make sure to put only good mods on it damage or leech mods are pretty much the only acceptable thing in my eyes but reload mod is useful i spose
now the auto shot gun is easliest the most common wepon that can do great amounts of dragons
for instance my auto shot gun mk-5 can nearly one hit dragons so it takes just two shots to kill them easily

guys, i was having alot of trouble playing this game wihtout having to carry over.
but i found some things out that may help the begginers having trouble
first off sherrif is definetly the easiest to do well with
sure the other classes can use "rapid bowgun with retarded amount of good mods attatched" but the simplest way to stay alive and thrive is to follow a few rules
1) sherrif
2) fight on ur own and dont buy anything buy houses to max ur recruits
3) get wait around for Nobles to recruit. sure u may have to refresh a couple times or go a few extra days without them but wait for the noble class recruits to pop up. they ussualy turn out really well
lol one of mine has tuant 5 and active 7

In my own way,I wish this game had a customizable AI system like Final Fantasy 12, with the Gambits and all. That would make it a ' bit ' easier ' on me due to the fact that 2 of my guys aren't leveling because their on Aerial Defence
