@amannamehero I tried Damage 3 and Auto Fire 3 on exactly the same Grav guns Mk-11. Auto Fire gives: 278dmg * 6,4= 1779,2dmg. Damage 3 is: 355dmg * 4,6= 1633dmg. Fire rate is better choice then dmg, as you can see

@Upwardsspiral It might've been because you've used an item (Icon of a sword) Called "Ragnarok". An advice from me: only use it when you're sure you and your castle can handle death. :P

You can get the Gravity Gun when you get the Ultimate Hardcore Medal which is to Survive 40 days in Hardcore. After that the next time you play a new game you will have the Gun in one of your slots. You can also find a Gravity Gun at the store but since it is random you might not be able to see one for quite some time.

But would a fire rate mod in a Gravity Gun be effective during the early stages of the game? I assume that the Gravity Gun is similar to a plasma weapon which shoots highly ionized material with sufficient momentum to cause impact damage in addition to causing high thermal damage. So by increasing the fire rate it should increase the electrons circling around inside the plasma ball and these atoms are then excited by these collisions, bringing them to a higher energy state. Therefore it will hit the enemy even more especially against the bigger armor enemies as the plasma ball passes through them.

@ RedeemedWahrior - thanks for the reply. So the only mods which are useful for the Gravity Gun are Damage and Leech. However in the earlier stages (before Day 100) I found adding an Anti Amor mod is quite useful since without it, the plasma will just pass through the tanks, ogres and other armored enemies and not killing them.

@ Cuberionus I hope so too. That will probably be something in the sequel (though it will probably be expensive either ap-wise or gp-wise).You are correct in the fact that you really need a 3+ mod slot to truly succeed (I got a 3-mod slot gravity gun and the only person who can use it is currently 47 levels higher than me,103-150).

Guys,Ragnarok is perfectly possible if you prepare properly (in fact I've done it twice already). First off,get at least one gravity gun (also helps tremendously if you have a high reload skill) ,equip it on your partner if you can, if you can't, give it to yourself and have another gun ready. I also recommend that you have 1-2 repair hammers (restore apx. 25-40 hp per use, along w/supplier skill).

always keep a spare c5k past day 40 hardcore or not hARDcore is just annoying i recommend getting the hard badge first in normal

This game is killing me softly. Pure random, your life depends on luck in finding 3+ mod weapon of choice.
I think that some mod number upgrade facility should be added, without it loosing and winning is a matter of sheer luck >.<'

lol. I kill everyone in the museum every day AND EACH DAY MORE PEOPLE COME. and they dont do anything too stop me ether.

I though that Ragnarok is somekind of weird things that helpful during battle, so i give a try.
Then latter on a bunch of dragons show up and *pfft* GAME OVER DUDE!!
Damn u Ragnarok!!

@Delimon: That kinda completely obliterates the purpose of Hardcore mode. After all it's just normal mode that deletes your save at the beginning of each day.

haveing trouble with armored units get a rouge or a duelist then get a laser pistol equip and have them attack armored mobs only trust me on this im a doctor.

I wanted to keep this to myself, but some of you guys obviosly need some help with hardcore mode. To prevent your game from being deleted when you lose simply open up another tab and load the file you want to use and go back to the previos tab after it loaded the saved data and play. Remember to save the game if you lose on the second tab and repeat this process as many times as you have to.

well yeah i guess it was a good game, i gave 5 stars, it kept me amused for ages but this is the last time i will play cause its too much luck based on hardcore and deleting saves just makes it frustrating.

I can't wade through the combat to play this, the overall aesthetic and upgrade system are awesome but I feel like I'm playing Oregon Trail. 1/5 for combat, 5/5 for the rest

Long time Elonian? Long time ranges from 4-6 months, and yet you only have the Easy and Med. badge for this game. I played Elona Shooter for about 1 month and had the impossible. HA!!

Long time Elonian speaking:
Technically this game is free.
So how the hell arent people infatuated with this game!? Too high of standards I'm supposing.. or maybe mine are too passionate.
I'd actually pay for this game [if i wasn't broke] and i will [soon as i.. can]

Erg, getting 100 days on HC wasn't thatt hard, but I'll admit, days 90-100 where a pain in the ass. Kinda boring, IMO. 3/5

Laser pistol > all for primary gravity gun for 2 of your defenders, shotgun for air. Level up your damage house every chance you get
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@MantisTobagan Hold down your space bar while firiing.. and try using Hunter's Rifle, Shotgun, or Revolver. Those work about as good as bowgun. (Imo, shotgun and revolver actually trump bowgun. Shotgun gets 9 shots per click, while revolver has better aim than bowgun, especially if u're trying to avoid hitting Sisters or Storks)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the only weapon that actually works is the crossbow, this game was so close to being good, just should have made the gun mechanics the same as the bow, i.e. chaser bullets
