What the heck does twice do in Chaos Fire? I can't see it having any affect. Dark Fire is also unbeatable. I have 1 mana - he has 0, then he drains my one and gets 20 in return. Ouch!

Seriously? My first battle went on for 10 minutes and I finally just committed suicide just to get it to end. Terrible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is a good game, i give 3/5 stars... but as the dark fire clan, you will never beat the Red Fire master. This is the big mistake on this game. It is unbalanced.

cute game
the trick would be to jus keep mana burning ure opponent while u defended ure air space for dark but would lose to the specialised in Low Atk race
Ice is acutally the best i feel since the mana burn is quite solid and has good air space and good ground defence
Nice GAME

Yeah, the red fire master can drain mana from me that I don't actually have, which sucks and makes him unbeatable. Decent concept, but needs balancing work.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
actually, i just found out about the clan leader, great mage assasination and stuff, and BOY am i addicted to the game.....it DOES have a save,r-r-r-right?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you play dark fire you cannot beat the red fire master. His high defense completely blocks your high attack. his low attack is 2 better, so it will always damage you 20 life, and he can heal mana faster than than you can drain it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Agree with StereoSonico, if you are dark you can't beat Fire clan High Mage with Ranking. The game is unbalanced. But it's a good starting idea.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am ranked nr 3 and Taven Master tells me rank nr 2 i Ice Water Clan Leader. But I just beat him to become the Clan Leader myself, so not I can't challenge him!

Spell Check will save you from rendering your audience helpless with laughter at the wrong moments ("consequetively").
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
resting against sea water is pretty funny after burn they try to attack and then you got them, game is stupidly unbalanced
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The red fire mage's special ability is annoying. It's called drain, so one assumes that it takes mana from your opponent and gives it to you. Fair enough. But it gives them mana even if you don't have that mana! It's annoying when it uses drain on you when you both have 0 mana. It just gains 20! arrgh.

theadmiral; I managed to beat him (I played as poison water), you just have to sort of sucker him into using the freeze spell early, so that he tries to attack you with the softer attack, and then kill him before he can cast it again.
My problem with the game is the very last fight, where, if you lose, once, you get the game-over screen.. That, and the repetitiveness of the game, itself..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I agree with admiral, I don't see a way to beat the Ice Water Magic Master as a Poison Water Mage. Did anyone succeed in doing so?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm having the same problem. It seems that you actually cannot beat the Ice Water Magic Master as a Poison Water Mage. Your highest low attack he can defend against, and he can repeatedly use high attack (Aren't you not supposed to be able to use the same attack in a row?) which always gets you down by 10 HP whether you defend or counter attack. After you're down to 50 HP (5 turns) he freezes you and is free to rain 60 points of damage, and you lose at -10 HP every time. Unless you use some other suicidal strategy, then you might wind up somewhere other than -10, but I don't know how.

I like the concept. Only problem is that some fights are impossible due to strength/weakness imbalances. For example: No red fire mage could ever beat an ice water mage provided the ice water mage had high enough mana (aka, clan leader). The only way to cause the ice water mage any damage (that I found) is by resting, causing the ice mage to attack with a high and low attack, you get hit by the high, and counter low with low attack causing the ice mage 10 damage. All other attacks are met with a nullifying counter, and you can't drain his mana before he Freeze lvl 2's you twice and kills you.
In short: game needs balancing so that proper planning and skill can get you perfect endings with all 6 clans.

easy and short, but i love the way it looks. all of the clans are cool looking but i would have like to see more variation. i was iwth ice water and basically just used manu burn and high attack, than later on i used those plus freeze two and low attack. didnt defend once
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Played Poison water clan, and get to number 11. Can't beat this opponent. Just impossible to advance any further. Maybe if there was a way to increase your life as you level up, and not just your mana...

Now it gets interesting! Well, its an ok game! Could use work! Like when something happens, like when I choose to assassinate someone, I didn't know what I agreed to! So make sure people know when the box with text comes up!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, this game sucks! Maybe if you didn't know what your opponent was doing 24/7 then maybe it wouldn't take five hours to kill someone! Its attack, they defend, they attack, I defend! It gets old after the first two bouts!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Most of the clans are the same. Ice water, sea water, red fire, dark fire, chaos fire, I mea come on. Fire and water are basically the only clans I see.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pretty easy. This is going into my favourites.I got a cool strategy using the Dark Fire clan.I just increased High Attack and Mana Burn.Using mana burn to destroy the opponents mana and high attack magic to damage them.

fun, for about 10 min
other than that, it really sucks ass
i wouldn't say it is a great rpg, scince it doesn't go on forever, but w/e it's oooooooook

Bug report:
When your clan elections crops up and you have not defeated your clan leader (or at least, arriving at your clan in hoping to defeat him only to have the elections occur), you become stuck on your rank.

Had fun, but then the game froze up in a really advanced game and I lost all my progress... in definite need of a save feature... tutorial is a bit slow... nice that it can be skipped though...
A 3 stars game with the sould of 4, even the story and multiple choice was compelling... if there is a refined sequel I'd be interested...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game was done sometime ago, i do not know if kongregate is up back then. I submitted it to test the response, deciding whether to do a sequel of this or our other games, so all you comments are pretty important, thanks :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice concept, although the battles get repetitive after a while and mana training is painfully tedious. I like the choice of whether or not to side with the assassins. I think with some refinement this could be 5*...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It was okay. The text was really hard to get past. The "training" area of the game could have either been simplified to choosing points or changed in some way to make it more interesting (maybe a top down screen where you at least walk there, although that could get tedious). I'm pretty sure there is no way to defeat the Sea Water clan leader if you are a part of that clan to start. That clan feels a bit too over powered, but I didn't bother playing any of the other clans, so I don't know how the balance is. Had some good images and okay animation. Feels some what incomplete though.
