@antigonos if all war was stopped, than after a generation or two the world would be in a total state of peace, so in theory, nobody would be creating weapons or discovering other ways to one up each other. granted yes eventually something would happen and there would be war, the idea would have been to cease war for as long as possible.

There seem to be a few fatal flaws with this. As you upgrade energy capacity, your recharge rate does not seem to improve at all. This (energy inefficiency) compounded with the fact that your energy reservoir doesn't recharge at all between "days" makes the game barely playable at times. Beginning with 0 energy and having no time to recharge, then getting multiple baddies on the screen at once.. each of which require a couple seconds of clicking to kill.. I thought this was a great game at first, but the more I play it, I realize the core mechanics are horrible. Tweak the variables a bit and this could be a 5/5.

solution for #20- when you're low on energy, click REALLY FAST. due to your recharge rate, it recharges very quickly, and you kill them. upvote if this helps!

Fun game but also very easy... short bursts are the way to. Dont hold the mouse down unless the object has massive hp.

Last level is hard, but it you just rapidly click, you can save some energy, allowing you to hold for taking out the motherships and heavy walkers.

Cool game, unlike what bayne420 said I beat it ;p just be conservative with your energy and leave the puny men to your mini Tesla cannon

Not so, if you conserve your ammo and exploit the chain lighting, while letting your mini turret handle the few units who get past, you should be fine. Also take advantage of the fact that lighting temporarily freezes your opponent. Even if out of charge, spam mini-bursts to freeze the big ones.

Level 20 is beatable but difficult. Multi-click to slow down enemies and recharge, and hold down to damage as many as you can.

Best advice I can say to solve day 20, is...Rapid fire!
do bursts, not steady stream.
It you rapidly click enemies, it does an initial spike of damage, and stuns for a moment.
So...you can abuse this to stop the giant walker while chain lightninging the little-uns around them.
And you can do it to the UFO too.

bayne420 : I am not sure what you are talking about. I beat level 20 my first time through the game. It is simply a matter of allowing your smaller tesla tower to wipe up the smaller troops, judiciously attack big targets when they are in the middle of a lot of enemies and make sure you destroy the UFOs quickly.

There seems to be a bug when you click menu while mid mission. When I'd press play again, the game would restart at Day 1. This would appear to be normal, but then on Day 2 I noticed when someone would come close to my tower, an extra arc would appear out of no where, as though I still had my mini tesla tower. Also, my tower health would degrade slowly even though nobody was near my tower to attack it.

@Ellios sadly as one of Terry Pratchet's characters pointed out that is an underestimation of human brutality. some one would figure out how to transport that death ray and use it to attack.

Bayne420, no, wave 20 (final wave) is possible. I know because I beat it. Sure i was an inch from losing (by which i mean the bar showing the HP remaining was so thin I couldn't actually see it, rofl) but it is possible. The key is to wait a little before attacking, so that you make the full use of the chain. Also, don't bother shooting the individual troops. The mini-coil will take care of them. Save you energy for the takes and UFNs (Unidentified Flying Nazis) unless the troops are beginning to swamp you mini-coil.

I disagree with an upgrade for recharge rate (even thought it already kinda increases rate as you get more energy), mainly because then the game would of been overly easy. This game seems like it could be the start of an even bigger better Tesla game. 4/5.

Just a note: A Tesla coil's max range in any direction is the hight of the coil, and all objects that are to be shocked must be grounded.

rather cool tower defense, however day 20 is not possible... the flying sausers if left unchecked will solo the coil, and there is no way to stockpile enough energy to fry everything. 4/5

good game a couple ideas for TDR2?
1. more things on the screen to zap at once.
1a. more upgrades: energy regen, things to slow enemies, single use landmines, would be cool to have different upgrade paths like slow hard hitting zaps or fast regen weaker zaps or aoe zaps or maybe different flavor mini towers so you could get an aoe mini tower and a fast targeting tower etc.
2. different maps with possibly different tower locations like a tower in the middle with enemies from both sides
3. better hit detection.
4. possibly a way to zap the ground and get it to arc to enemies in range instead of it just arcing off of targets.
5. different weather possibilities: rain puddles that do extra damage or meteors that stick in the ground and ground some of your elec damage making it more challenging

Pretty well made game if you ignore some of the science, like the fact that a weaponised Tesla coil wouldn't even need to aim, it would just vaporize anything that comes close, and placing another Tesla coil near it would make it useless, because they'd just zap eachother. But regardless. 4/5 (=

When you upgrade your energy, you are in fact also upgrading the recharge rate as the recharge rate seems to be a percentage of the maximum per second, rather than a flat amount of energy per second.
