My name is John Crichton... an astronaut. Three years ago I got shot through a wormhole. I'm in a distant part of the universe aboard this living ship of escaped prisoners, my friends. I've made enemies. Powerful. Dangerous. Now all I want is to find a way home, to warn Earth. Look upward, and share... the wonders I have seen.

Might I say that this game is EXTREMEY addicting, and that you are evil for having made it so? XD I've already spent a few hours playing it without realizing the time.
No, we're not evil :D If you wish, we can make it stop working after 2 hours of playing, and then you can come back the next day :) The games auto-saves when you go to the ship, so you can stop anytime. Don't try to finish it in one day if you have any other tasks!

Of all the things, an iPod. Seriously? Humans who have achieved Higher-than-light speeds should have been intelligent enough to not use one

I am loving this game! It's like no other mining/crafting game I've ever played. The upgrades and the ability to change locations makes it stay fresh and fun even after hours of playing. All I could ask for is a better explanation of how to discover recipes, I'm stuck at question marks in every upgrade.

This game is awesome. However, I must admit I liked the original motherload better. You can tell this is a spin-off of motherload with better graphics and such. Glean is leaning a little towards minecraft in the way that you get less valuable stuff and craft it with something else to get better stuff.

"Buried" - These capsules are located at 0-50 depth. It will tell you to find these objects
"Lost" - These capsules are located at 50-150 (I think). It will also tell you to find these objects as well
"Hidden" - These capsules are found 150+. The game does not tell you find them unless you manage to find one yourself.

@Xephan: thank you for the advice. It seems that the smaller planetoids (depth=50) didn't have any for me. When I chose a larger one, I found some very easily.

Wonderful game, if you can expand on it even a little more it would be great.
A couple of sugestions: 1. Enable us to go back to a previous item, so that when we are crafting something we can go to the piece we need, craft it, then go back to the main component and craft it. 2. Let us see the info about the planet we are on somewhere, after we landed on the planet

The best mining game I've played so far, however it was really hard to make out the difference between all the metals on the minimap/radar, the crystals were easy though. It would also be nice to be able to enlarge the minimap, not neccesarily make it cover a larger area but atleast make it larger to see the metals easier.

The only thing which bothers me is that the vibrational dampener seems to make it HARDER to get aberrant matter and obsidian!

Just finished the game. Really like it, still sticking to my 5/5 ranking. The one thing that bugged me was the way things were built. It's great that you can dig down to build parts for more complicated recipes, but you should be able to go "back" up to the higher level part easily, without having to go back to the original recipe/engineering part and digging back down. Know what I mean?

This game feels like an upgrade from Utopian Mining... anyone else feeling the same (if you don't know the game, search for it here on Kong)?

frustratingly too hard to figure out what needs building: colors might have helpded what is raw material and what needs to be assembled

New recipes should appear as soon as you have all ingredients. For example, as soon as you have 2 Tiny Iron Nuggets + 1 Small Lava Globule in ship inventory, you'd get recipe of Weak Iron Bar. This should depend strictly on ship inventory, checked at each opening of research tab, not based on total stuff mined or random chance. I had 1 game where despite having 10+ Medium Azurite, still didnt get recipe of Large Azurite, and 1 game where 30 Iron Nuggets in inventory did not unlock Screws for 1 hour of play! Progress impossible until game suddenly "decides" to FINALLY unlock a recipe for no apparent reason is frustrating, plz remove randomness from getting recipes!

Needs a better saving system or I'm always missing the time to continue, I have to do a new save every day (I couldn't continue from yesterday because it didn't save properly and I don't want to do it again and again) Do you have to complete it in one day??

Is it just me who thinks this is just a more interactive Motherload game?
It's really good though don't get me wrong, I'm just suprised no-one thinks that lol. Great job to the creators a thumbs up!

when you're on the planet, i wish it tells you what the statistic of the resources are... because sometimes i just forget the percentage! bonus if it declines as you drill stuff

Really annoying that closing the game, even accidentally, automatically makes you leave the planet you were working on.

This is a great game. One of the greatest flash games i've played. It has all that's needed - An objective to acomplish which takes some time.

This game is surprisingly good for a sandbox, got me hooked. The only problem I had is the "recursive item" creation. I have a suggestion for that. Let's say you want to create a Handful of Bolts. Instead of making it cost 1x small silver + 1 screws, just let it cost raw materials (1x small silver, 2x small iron). That saves a lot of hassle especially when making complex materials.

So close to maxing out everything, but it is getting really tedious to build the components at the end that are made from hundreds of different minerals. As mentioned by others, can we just have a way to automatically build the base components if we have the requisite minerals. I'm fine with having to manually break up larger minerals manually.

I quite like mining games, but I usually get bored after a bit. Not this time :D Wow. It's perfect, especially with the recent changes. 5/5, favourited, and THANK YOU!
