To save on skill upgrades, buy the most expensive one you can, as it doesn't charge you for any of the upgrades beneath it.

Like ReservoirBaro said, regular mode is too easy, and the hard challenges are too hard. It was fun for the first few levels but the grinding got ridiculous after about 5-6 levels

i agree with luzalmondo. we have options for towers, but why bother with them? i get through every level the same way, with the same strategy, and i always use the basic tower. i have never needed the other towers. the enemies don't demand that i use the special towers, and the path tells me exactly where the enemies will travel. if certain enemies created new roads where they traveled, if others flew, if some were immune to the basic tower, that might help. and i continue to believe that guns overheating or requiring a pause to upgrade would also be an interesting addition, and frankly it doesn't bother me that this means that the game's handling of "expert" status would have to be changed. making this game more interesting and less repetitive will no doubt require other changes, there's not really a way around that.

sometimes I like this game, sometimes I don't, it's really annoying when you think you have soooo many towers that they can all kill the last 3 waves, WRONG start again, repeat, repeat, argh! Kinda repetitive so I rate 3/5

Only a handful of useful towers + having to grind the same levels over and over + the main difficulty of the game coming from knowing how quickly to press the "n" key = BORING! 2/5 stars

Eh...With a bit of grinding its all too easy. Just grind on level one for a bit, then two, then four, then five, and so on. Just go to the one maybe....three levels below yours, so you can easily beat it for the points

I really like the graphics, but really badly balanced, and no variety at all.
The groundwork was there for something really good : (

omg the achievements are so hard damn... specially the expert ones nice game! kinda repetitive (the same enemies all the time) but fun!

you've played for 30 minutes (redoing level 1 to get more points)! Can you play for an hour? Only if the game becomes more fun and less repetitive.

It's unfortunate that the towers work in such a direct hierarchy, that there are no splash damage towers, and worst of all, that the poison and freeze towers are obsolete by the time they are affordable.
Thank god for small bombs and super towers.

Still need to fix number for amount of 'tanks' coming for next wave. Need to fix problem with pausing while while bomb is ready to deploy because as soon as you hit resume, the bomb drops.

Yay for achievements or I wouldn't have played it so long. 4/5. It's a great layout, but not any upgrade options, just one route which isn't bad, but there wasn't anything original. Great game though, so it deserves all 4 stars.

Moorepheus - Couldn't be further from the truth. This is a real grinding game; replaying old levels gets you full points each time, and believe me: you'll be replaying plenty if you want full upgrades.
This game was simplistic, unoriginal, and a grind-fest. I'm very glad I have the badges so I don't have to play it any more. 2/5 because it didn't deserve badges

Very basic, simple and easy. This is really tower defense stripped down to it's essentials. It would make a great game for a newbie to the TD genre, but any experienced players are going to find it extremely easy.

How I get expert is use a super tower near the beginning and only use that and upgrade it. Use 3x speed and use send now alot. I use 3x speed because the send now clock stays the same speed, and you kill the enemies faster.

3 upgraded super towers (level 3) and I can win almost every level, by sending waves after some seconds. Not Mini, but Grind Tower Defence!
2/5...

Why is the "Victory music" if you will, the same as Sacred Season's Game Over music? mTD is just that, another boring TD game. It plays itself almost. Drop a few towers and go grab lunch. You'll have won by the time you get back. 2/5

A good implementation - 4/5 (not in the "Gemcraft" league), then less one for not coping with all the activity on the higest levels (on Gemcraft you can turn down the graphics so it copes, on this is you send ALL on 35+ it just goes soooo slowly - and yes I have a high spec machine etc). So 3/5 - try a sequel!

Nice mini TD game. Nothing special but fun.
To the ones complaining about new ideas or so, come on, there are new games everyday and TD represent maybe 3% of them. Just play the other 97% but you're funny saying: oh no I don't want to play TD but I have to :)

if you don't get expert on each level you play the first time, you can never earn enough money for all the upgrades. If you go back and try to earn expert, you only get a money based on your new score vs your original score.
