Super Tower is too super for it's cost. Each level is the same; over and over again, with little to no difference between level 1 and level 25. Totally unoriginal in every single concept (a Poison Tower? ZOMG, that's new) and poor graphics to boot.

@Demaldon: Yes, a level 2 super has a worse dps/cost than two level 1s, but a level 3 has the same ratio as 1, and the 4th and 5th levels net you an even better dps/cost. But I must strongly agree with you on the rest of your comments

Oh and a pedantic aside to messymike it is only "defense" if you are American, speakers of the Queens English sould spell it defence as the author of the game has. ;-p

Thank you!!! Yes, I'm actually working on some other flash games ;)

While not particularly original this is an enjoyable take on the TD genre. The upgrades could use a little balancing and maybe set the bonus countdown to be the same speed as the game. Okaybmd I thank you for the chance to play this game and hope you will continue developing for our enjoyment in the future.

Great game 5/5
I like how the game is not one gigantic round of tower defending, it is broken down into small levels and that is the way it should be done!

(Continued) If you aren't going to be creative and innovative, then you have no chance against games like Bloons, Bubble Tanks TD, Desktop TD, Onslaught, Gemcraft, and other, more popular (and better) games - 1/5

(Continued) If this were to be somehow fixed, it would make things more challenging. The Upgrades were also flawed, seeing as you could bypass all of them and buy the last $2000 upgrade. Points gained from waves also decreased at the same rate, no matter how fast you have the game set to, making it much harder to get points if you're playing on x1 or x2, or grinding for upgrades. Speaking of grinding, that seems like the only thing you do in this game, you max out an upgrade, blast through a few waves, get stuck, and grind some more (maxing out the 1st and 3rd set of upgrades is practically a requirement for the Hard Badge). The enemies had some variety (some were fast, others were slow and had high health, also saw a few boss waves) but seeing as you're spamming waves (and killing them incredibly fast) there doesn't seem to be a noticeable difference.

This is an excellent example of a generic, repetitive and boring TD. The towers are as simple and uncreative as can be (I've seen these Frost, Poison, Splash, and Rapid-Fire towers more times than I can count). Upgrading towers aren't worth it, take the Super Tower for example. It costs around $1600 to upgrade, and only gives it +30 damage, while buying 2 Super Towers costs around $1800 (+60 damage), you do the math, which is a better buy? The towers themselves aren't worth the money either (I also found it rather sad that none of the other towers can even hope to compare with the Super Tower, making it the obvious choice)...why waste $$ on Super Towers when bombs that cost only $50 each (with upgrades) do more damage? One reason why it's incredibly easy to 'Expert' a level with bombs is due to the fact that there are lots of weaker waves at the start that can be killed off quite easily, giving you loads of cash so you can spam your way through the harder waves.

I just got fully upgraded bombs and it's stupid how I can win expert without building a single tower by spamming small bombs in a corner.

This game gets a 1/5 from me, it's apparent that the maker didn't playtest it enough. Next time, either play it a couple hundred times more, or get some other people to play it a couple hundred times more, because a lot of this stuff could easily have been found if someone had bothered to look properly (especially the upgrade point bug...)

I don't usually use bombs in TD games, because I don't think it's much fun, but after reading some of the other comments I had to check it out. I wasn't disappointed. I was able to beat pretty much every map by simply dropping 5 super towers at the start of the game, centering them around a small part of the road, then sending in ALL WAVES AT ONCE, and then just carpet bombing the area around my super towers. After getting some of the upgrades, the bombs actually earn more money than they cost, so I just watched my money counter roll into the ten thousands while repeatedly pressing either Z-click-Z-click or X-click-X-click, depending on how much money I had.

The correctly named 'super tower' makes all the other towers useless, and because of the upgrade point bug, you can easily reach the point where you can drop 5 of them at the start of each battle. Besides that, the entire game consists of properly timing your N key presses to send in the next wave.

I like TD games... not this one though. The balance is way off, it level grinding of all things, and the only dificulty is in trying for the "expert" ranking since the creeps come waaay to slow to be a threat at any less than four waves at a time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not much to say that anybody else hasn't said, unoriginal, grinding, and horrible sound effects. Yet I still gave it a 4/5...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you buy the upgrades one at a time you spend a ton of upgrade points, but if you buy a higher level upgrade you just pay for that one upgrade. You can basically play the first level over and over again at the beginning getting an expert rating every time then buy high level upgrades. Sure it's boring, but it is effective and the game is boring anyway.

I got all the badges but I also got Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from clicking repeatedly. I agree with tigereye504, it's hard to get behind a tower defense game where the most effective strategy is to just bomb the crap out of the enemies at once. A splash damage tower would have been a nice option.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you already have 30 achievements, but didn't get the badge, just play a game and send all waves and lose. When you get the game over screen, the Achievement Stat submits, and you should get the badge.

@ace blue: The fast tower has twice the dps of a base tower with both at maximum level, but a level 5 super tower has 11.25 as much dps as a max level fast tower, for only 6.52 times the cost of a max fast tower. Even a level 1 super tower gets you more dps per credit spent than a fast tower at any level.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
frankly, i can't like any td that makes one-time use bombs more effective than towers also, this game grinds way to much. 1/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game is MUCH easier if you set speed to 3x because the next wave arrival is calculated off of real time instead of game time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i dont see why ppl r complaining about grinding. any td game is grinding this just is not as flashy as some but whatever

Oh gee! Those of you saying, "Boring, just another tower defense game..." READ THE DAMN NAME! (Sorry about the language.) Mini Tower Defense, the can't be a tower defense game then! On a different subject, The upgrading system remminds me of Hedgehog Launch....
