Planets should be immune to capture if there's a friendly ship nearby. The radius shouldn't be too far, but enough that you have to clear the skies before you can capture the planet. That would stop the computer's cheap-but-effective tactic of just sending in a bunch of drop ships and capturing a planet out from under you.

Not a bad game, just needs refining to make it fun. Fleet formation would reduce micromanaging and the use of hot keys 1,2,3, etc for fleets would certainly add an element of strategy. The games works, but the controls are poor and needs some work to steamline the fun rather than wasting time building units moving them into position and mob the enemy. Ground battles would be interesting rather than just sending enough dropships to overwhelm the imperial garrison.

Mission 3:
After u find the second HVU move downwards. When u arrive at the third square ur friendly forces will start to attack. Quickly, move to the far right side. make sure the HVU is at the end of ur collum, all figthers are up front, some are a bit left. Move forward one square by another. This is essential. Some enemys will spawn directly infront of u, a bit to the left. If u set ur fleets up in the proper way, ur fighter will attack the incoming enemys. Make sure u don't move, otherwise the fighters won't attack. U gonna loose some fighters, but the HVU should stay untouched. Continue to move downward at the far right side. Watch out for the enemy radar. A friendly force will spawn at the bottom left, and start attacking the enemy. Carefully make ur way to the southeast corner and continue moving to the evac point. Make sure u stay at the far bottom of the map while moving untill u r right behind the evac point.

it should take some time until drop ships unload the troops or something cus i can capture any planet by sendiing a couple kamikaze drop ships

Serious bug in the first mission:
If you capture the enemy planet before you capture the two neutral planets, then the mission will not end.

I agree with several others, mission 3 killed the game for me. Not only do stealth missions never belong in strategy games, but it's crazy hard and has no save points. I quickly decided that I would rather never play mission 3 again than get to the rest of the game.

Yeah mission three is a bit of a roadblock. The price for failure is steep and the fun factor ies off fast. I'd really like to continue on but this mission just makes me want to give up.

Second level while annoying is doable. ignore population build power plants and metal generators then just swamp with fighters and scouts
scouts are surprsngly effective if they arin't taking direct damage and drawing fire.

HOLLY SHIT. On mission 3 i spent 25minutes and then lost... im pissed at this game. I went up, got the repair drone, found devilduke first, went and saved the other guy, went back to devil duke, [still not avaliable] THEN i dropped off the other guy, grabbed devil duke, idiot ross comes in and "SAVES THE DAY", enemy squadron spawns RIGHT on me. Thats just pure BS.

I like where this game is going, but I captured all of the planets, building on em....and i'm not sure how to capture the outpost.... what did I do incorrectly? anyway, the sort of startrek stuff I enjoy.... cool game.

decent game can't give more than a 3/5 mostly for the reasons in the top comments. Controls aren't well designed and AI needs some work, but with a good update the game could be a lot better

yes the ships just flying and letting themselves be attacked and destroyed without returning fire makes this game much less fun

That's a pretty nice planet over there.... it would be a shame.... if it became... A WAR FACTORY! MAH HA HA HA! So seriously with all these planets, why fight the empire? can't we sorta like, go over that way?

Can't complete first mission
wipe all enemies out. Capture Merkar, capture Omega Norando. Capture Proxima 5... Mission update, telling me to capture Norando, again.
Controls... clunky... at best. Need to have group selection and move-attack. The "help" ... didn't seem to help much on unit selection (tried the hotkeys... just.. not working for me.
Also, initial mission, capturing Norando first = mission loss.

Mission 3: If the fight begin wait some spawns... than flight down right to spawn point of yellow guys... start fly if they spawn (no enemy spawn). Flight down as possible... rest is easy... good luck guys!

There needs to be checkpoints on the third mission. It's very annoying have to start from the very beginning and redo earlier missions.

10 howitzer defence 20+ fighters (no idea i kept them on build 20 for ages) 20+ interceptors and they still took my planet ,the ammount of firepower thrown at them should have shredded them all but nooooo , also when i tell my units to move and they are fighting why do they go slower and not do anything till they reach their destination ?

Mission 3, take the ships to safety. Careful maneuvering taking it easy, rushing trough, taking a Dtour and guess what. MASSIVE INSANE FLEET JUMPS OUT OF THE BLUE MISSION FAILT TRY AGAIN... 12 times i tried all diffrant approaches and every time i get close some fleet jumps out of no where right on top and fail. Im here to enjoy games but no skirmish for us till we play that stupid buggy campaign ...
Game looks great, and despite some issues would be awesome to play, wasn't it for the shitty campaigns. So instead of giving the game a 4 ill give it a one and ill check back in a week or so, if still must play those shitty campaigns i wont be back.

You need to fix the group select. When you first start a level it's fine, then after a while it stops letting you select any ships by holding down the left mouse button. It makes the game impossible to play..

Very challenging, love the concept, very good overall, but there are a few things that inhibit it's quality, such as the dropships, they ignore all of your men and fly straight to the planet like a kamikaze. The enemy will send dozens, and I don't like how they over power you so easily.

could be 5/5, but it is not ballanced enough. stage5 is super tough, and it is f'ed up if i loose after building for 20min only because 1 ship with troops lands on my planet. should make different difficulty levels for every stage.

Such a beautiful game with so much work obviously put into it... so disappointing that it's such a chore to actually play.
