I wonder if medium badge requires *different* tricks. Atm my "best combo" says 115 tricks, yet no medium badge awarded. Hard's achieved properly tho. 4/5, little funny jumping kid.

The Apocalypse Nao (http://www.kongregate.com/pages/apocalypse-nao) kongregate challenge/promotion is still showing up when i earn the easy badge. That event expired on 2013 January.

I got like 1.3 million points with a 124 trick combo and the hard badge after and incredible number of tries. My overall score was 1,407,352 points and I can thank that huge combo for it.

This might not be the advise that'll keep you alive, but if it does, it'll give alot of points. A good way to keep the combo alive is to not spend long on a planet, if your jump failed, don't bother walking, jump back instead, the combo will be intact that way. Following this got me the hard badge in a single combo.

I got the 1st couple badges on 04/13, then abandoned the hard badge out of frustration until today. I got 969895 on my 3rd run. - That was 2 hrs ago. See you in 2019 when I try again...

The best way to get a high score is to keep on planet-hopping with minimal time on any single planet, as that will allow you to retain your combo.

The physics in this game is retarded. You release tangent to the circle not straight out. It's obvious whoever made this doesn't have the slighest grasp on physics.

This game is awesome! In my first tries I get 100k then 200k.... then 500k! Never give up on getting that 1 million medal!

The hard badge takes almost no skill. I can get the hard badge without passing mars. It's incredibly easy as long as you keep jumping and gain speed, if you get light speed or better, just hold up after that and you've basically gotten the hard badge

Like dorestes said, the way to get the hard badge is to never break your combo. There is a distinctive chime that sounds when the combo is broken, and it happens when you remain grounded on an asteroid for too long. Get Reaction Landings (hold the left or right arrow key appropriately when you land) to increase momentum, and if you end up going to fast then break a few asteroids with your head to slow down (hold the UP arrow and you'll break it instead of landing on it. Cannot do if the asteroid is too large). It takes some amount of luck, but it also takes a large amount of skill to accomplish the hard badge so don't give up!

Nothing like accidentaly jumping backward or sideward and missing every single Asteroid until the red giant kills you.

in order to get the badge here are 2 tips: 1) you can't do a crush unless you're farting stars. 2) to get speed you need either the choco bars or use reaction landing on small asteroids and keep moving.

This game should have an impossible badge by now.
controls are non existent. The fact that less than 3000 people have the hard badge should say something.

Medium badge - not that difficult. Get the reaction landings and it's no trouble. Hard badge - do what dorestes says to always keep the combo alive and you can get there. Early on, it's good to land on small asteroids and take your chances; you'll generally be okay even going backwards because you can land. If you can go fast, smashing lots of asteroids will bulk your combo up fast. I hit 1m without going much past Saturn by doing this tactic. (Yes, it took three hours to become good enough, but it's a hard badge.)

This is one of my favorite games to play on Kongregate because to me I can just pause the game, reply to any comment, then start playing the game again, this is one of the like 10 games that I've played and it's my favorite and it brings back so much memories from the first time I've ever played Kongregate because it was the first game I've ever played on Kongregate.

The controls are counterintuitive and annoying. Half the time it feels like left means right and half the time it means left. Not fun.

Yeah, maybe I just don't have the reflexes for this game, but as far as I can tell this is just sheer luck the majority of the time. More so than other games of this category.
I played it for a good hour and a half and I believe the longevity of it stems ONLY from the Kong badge and my desire to get it.

When aiming for the hard badge, be sure to make your first jump towards the sun, and rack up a good combo (preferably 20 or above) before starting to "escape" it. For general tips and tricks, cf. Ohbye's comment.

To the people who think that it is too hard to control your direction making the whole thing basically random since you can't see which direction you'll launch yourself while you're going too fast, I agree.
But another important thing I realised is that what this gives us is: Going fast is bad. As long as you're not too fast it's not too hard to control where you're going even while keeping your combo. For me the tactic to use was making sure that if I'm going fast enough to gain a multiplier from it, that's too fast so I started pressing up until I slowed down so I'd break the next asteroid instead of going out of control.
