Number of bullets blocked doesn't update properly. If you think you got enough for the badge, try refreshing the page and it should apply.

Apparently the medium badge is 100 times harder to get than the hard badge. I got the hard badge on my first try, and am struggling mightily to get the medium badge.

Too much screen crunch IMO. I'm glad it's based on skill and not pay2win or grinding! Games like this are a rarity these days.

Love the game! Only thing I think it's missing is the ability to toggle auto-fire. It seems unnecessary to hold the left trigger the whole time. Since there's no penalty for accuracy, there's no reason to not shoot the entire time.

Best way to achieve the badges was to run around in circles shooting towards the middle.
I liked the bars in the arena, but it also gave me an idea: we can shoot outside the arena, couldn't enemies spawn there too? A place enemies can spawn, but players cannot reach. That way, enemies can spawn in a way that makes hiding in corners a much riskier tactic.

@rmcrowley2000, I have BIG news for you: NO GAME IS DESIGNED FOR LAPTOPS/TRACKPADS/TOUCHPADS/PENS. Get a mouse and enjoy Kongreagate.

The game seems interesting, but the controls are horrible on laptops/trackpads. Click and hold while aiming just doesn't work for long periods there... Also, doesn't work with touch screens or pen input. It would be pretty good with pen input, I bet.

The purple balls just spawn really close to me and shoot their homing bullets with a slight curve, perfect through my defense. Every. Single. Time. Annoying af.

pretty much all you need to do is keep up circling the arena and firing roughly into the middle of it. dodging and blocking bullets is pretty much pure luck due to poor framerate handling. no tactics, no upgrades, no storyline, no replay value.
Could be depending of the browser you're using as well. I have tested on low end desktops as well so It should run smoothly. I recommend Chrome or Firefox for a good webGL compability. Also, you can disable functionalities in the option's menu. there are upgrads, there are tactics, and with leaderboards, some people really find replay value. Sad to see that it wasn't for you.

Very frequent stuttering (about once every 3-5 seconds) makes it nearly unplayable. In the space of each stutter, my box has cleared half the width of the arena and several bullets have come and gone without ever being seen. I'm on a Win10 desktop that regularly runs more intensive things than this, so I doubt it's insufficient hardware.

Seems weird, my badge said 0/6 for medium badge. I checked comment section, saw other people complaining. I decided to open a "missing trophy" thing. On that page it said "No missing achievements". Decided to refresh this page and it said I got the badge.
Great game, I thought the area would expand the further you got, is there a significance to the inner and outer rectangle or just for background.

A good game, but I really don't like a hardcore hard badge, it's so difficult to me, I can't find a regular to get more score, and when I get about 10th bullet power, the enemy get so strong or the bullet power is decrease? It's look like bullet stop level up.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wait... is the new enemies introduced with each upgrade to keep you from being overpowered? you planned balancing and likes how you can't play too defensively but need skills... unlike other games where slow- mo button comes in when this bulletstorm comes

for the hard badge... triple shots begin at around 1000 ... after 1600 upgrades you full health refills... your last refill and chance to regain health which seems to be awarded for me at power upgrades should be at 3000? when that came I defended a corner for as long as possible since bullets are so fast...then rushed to another when overrun... needs upgrades descriptions....

It might be cool to add currency and upgrades to add a sort-of continuity between rounds and some long-term goals? I love the game as it is I'm just offering a suggestion!
I stated in previous comments that I really like to decide when I want to shoot, auto fire is a little bit too much for me guys. Thanks for playing tho!

I was in a corner, and an enemy spawned in right behind me. I backed away, and ANOTHER enemy spawned in literally right on top of me. Both of these happened within the first ten seconds of play. I get that unfair spawn locations are unavoidable, maybe even necessary, in a game like this, but it shouldn't be a factor that only takes SECONDS of play to identify.

I love games like this one, thats why i give you 5/5 stars. You maybe could have added an auto-fire key or mode to toggle. Also the requirements for hard badge could be 4000 or even higher, it was a bit too easy in my opinion.

what is level 6 upgrade? how can i track it nowhere in the game it says level 6?? cause me so much frustration. i swear my bullet power upgraded 7 or 8 times. i got the hard badge already! where is my medium badge!??!

I love this game, the music, gameplay... everything is well-made. Just a little recommend about the weapon, having a weapon-choosing system when leveling up would be even more enjoyable: homing, piercing, splashing damage, or having 2 or 3 satellites... Thanks for making a wonderful game :D

got a score of 4995 after couple of times trying. What I've done: 1. running in a circle firing backward to block the bullet and leveling up, right when you get your weapon to the max level, kill all of them 2. continue running in circle, but firing aggresive, stop to finish of an enemy if necessary 3. until you feel overwhelmed, start moving between 4 corners, with a little luck, your score may pass 3600 at this point. In phase 2, it's optional that you may cease fire to let the enemies fire once to block until the bar is nearly full, so that if your HP goes down to 2 or 1, you just need to do some more block to heal yourself full again; I healed myself twice before getting to phase 3, but in the end, it doesn't even matter

Solid little game. between, the music, the sound effects and the hectic game play it really reminds me of Robotron 64 (a game that I haven't thought about in a long time)

Nice game! I'm not a real big fan of arcade games without any saves or grindable upgrade paths (What?! I have to actually get good?), but this was quite fun and I'll probably be back to pick up the medium badge. Once I discovered the running laps technique I made it from 49 to 446 bullets blocked and level 2 to level 6 in a single run :)

Great Game, was a little confused about the smaller lit box, but in the end i figured out that it was purely aesthetic. Only thing I would add is that auto-fire button.

A great strategy i found (and apparently others too) is to keep walking throught the outside line and shooting on whoever is on the screen with the focus on oranges > pinkies > others. After a while, there will be too many oranges spawning and this strategy won't work very well, so you will probably need to go slower and focus more on killing them, or find another strategy that suits you better. Really good fast-paced game, and i love those developers who answer the comments! It would make the game a little more complex, but you could make different arenas for this game, bigger and/or with walls.

It seems easy to exploit the upgrade system by running around the outside of the arena and shooting behind you. Most enemies hoot where you were, so you block their bullets without being at much risk. Of course, this really stops working once you get the enemies that shoot in all directions, but before that, you can level up really quickly.
It's part of the system hehe, you wouldn't be able to do it that much since they will keep spawning, a preivous comment let it pretty clear, I hope you've enjoyed it!

Thanks for the response, Oultrox. I think I didn't ask the question properly. By "level" I guess meant difficulty. It feels like when you reach a certain upgrade level, enemies start spawning a lot faster. So is it even worth letting enemies live to block their bullets (not counting when you're on 1 health and need to level up to heal) when levelling up faster without killing means you're just going to die sooner?
If I'm understanding, yes, someone commented here this:
"In this game, you upgrade by deflecting bullets. So one would assume that leaving weak enemies alive and deflecting their bullets would be a good way to level up very much without too much risk. Then the game decides to spawn enemies continuously."
Right there I'm trying to not make the enemies too exploitable and promoting the player to kill, seek, and move.
The genreation times gets faster over time as well, to increase the difficulty, at the start is easy as possible to help the player to get into the learning curve smoothly.
