Description
The +1 Game of Idling
NOTE: The autosave requires HTML5. Please make sure it works for you before committing much time to playing!!
You will automatically fight monsters and get loot. Spend that loot to upgrade your gear - the further you descend, the higher your scores need to be in order to survive. You win when you make it to level 40 and beat the boss. (Or you can Prestige, and the boss moves deeper.)
How to Play
Tips:
* Gloves and mail help to keep you alive while you fight. Defeat sends you back to level one, but you keep your gold and gear.
* Swords and wands help you defeat enemies faster, which also gives you a slightly greater chance to survive.
* Boots help you to move faster between fights - this is mostly helpful to return quickly to the harder dungeon floors after a death.
* Every few seconds, the shop has a different item for sale. There are stars (full green, half yellow, empty red) for a visual indication of how good of a deal it is. The most effective use of your money is two green stars: a good discount on an item 3 levels above what you currently have (you can never find anything higher than that). But if you spend early, you'll earn it back faster. You cannot sell your current gear.
* Enemy and gear names are flavour only.
* You get a chest of coins and a spell component the first time you finish a floor, but spend it wisely because things get expensive quickly.
* If you notice your progress bar moving at varying speeds, it's probably because you alternate between moving and fighting, and do each at different speeds.
Developer Updates
Minor update. Minor, in that no gameplay changes have actually occurred โ but this is the precursor to a bigger update. You now earn XP for most things you do, including being offline.
This will enable me to come by later and give you ways to actually spend that XP, which will be a larger update. I just didnโt want to delay the XP earning mechanics while I code and debug the larger part of this update.

Star value: red < yellow < green.
First star indicates relative increase in stat: red (+1), yellow (+2), green (+3).
Second star indicated value for money. So green star is best price.

Interesting start to the game, but definitely needs a little more late game and a way to reduce the tediousness of purchasing (or waiting on components from resting.) The developer said they have plans for more, but I think a lot of people will have moved on from the game if no update comes soon.

Uhmm...regarding your comment in your update about you not needing to do achievements: Kong does badges, and, for the most part, not for idle games. You should still have an achievement system in game...

also, you can only get 1 per rest? why? why do that in an idle game?
In my defense, my reasoning was that resting was not for true idle, but rather as an in-between thing you could do while at your computer, concentrating mostly on other things. :) But I can see that the overwhelming majority dislike that restriction, so in the most recent update it has been changed so that it is limited per rest to your level in the spell. (This number may change, but I am hesitant to make it unlimited: components are supposed to be much rarer than gold).
