I'm impressed I can't wait for the next one. The music was very good matched the town's atmosphere very well. Ahm the art was perfectly matching everything I think it was putting everything together. That art was so characteristic, a bit sketchy some times which was really good. The coloring was outstanding so vivid, real. The sceneries... I have to mention that I've found myself staring those beautiful views. I have to admit that for me to start reading a game's story it must really catch me, well this one did it. It was fast and objective at some points, just theory though I believe that those fast points help the player's will to read the greater parts of the storyline. I wish we had some more work to do in the forest and the waterfalls, which were both very nice scenes btw.
It was an inspiring game, I wish we had more games like that in the future.

For anyone who wants more: 'A Grain of Truth' is a follow up, and the 'Trader of Stories Chapter' games are a prequel series (Chapter 2 released recently as of this post). All four games are really polished and beautiful. Highly recommended!

This is an epic adventure story of stealing everything that's not nailed down, particularly old womens' magical amulets, and plucking hairs from sleeping or otherwise unwary creatures. Helped along with amazing artwork, and a well suited musical score, this is truly a masterpiece of everyday life!

Note: You do not use the same bottle that contained the wine to contain the potion. The bottle you need to contain the potion of the drowned can be seen when you talk to the innkeeper in the top right corner. All the other items are straightforward enough.

Thanks for this beautiful game. I really like the concept of putting a story together and having that story serve the people of the village. I worked in oral histories for two years with former mill workers, and our work was much like that. Also, it's interesting that the illusive character is named Derrida. Jacques Derrida is the literary critic who developed "deconstruction," a process for un-building a narrative. So, I thought that Derrida might be working to un-build Myositis' efforts to construct his story.
Pastel, I dig it!

Beautiful game, and I loved the puzzle! Unfortunately, the badge doesn't load, which is the only big fault I find with it. Thanks!

Villager: She stole some of them so that she could put a spell on the drunkard so that she could return him to his wife & get her Husk back &... Constable: [interrupts] Her what? Villager: Husk...it's like a giant turtle creature that she uses as a means of conveyance... Constable: -_- Villager: She also stole some of those things so that she could make a potion to raise a man from the dead... Constable: -_- Villager: I swear it's true! Constable: [incredulous tone] & why would she do that? Villager: For a story. Constable: *facepalm*

Any idea why the badge wouldn't pop? the description says just the story is needed. I finished the game and did not get it? Any thoughts?

Walkthrough (in English) Part 1: Take the broken wheel and the bag of food in the cart. Feed the mount. Click the clump of trees in the background. Take the acorn and the camomile flower. Enter the forest on the right. Now click the base of the tree with no lanterns and then the bell clapper. Come back out and click on the big rock, click again to read its inscription. Go into town. Go into the abandoned house. Read the note on the floor and get some cat fur from the sleeping cat. Cross the bridge. Talk to the woman at the well and then go to the stable. Talk to the woman at the stable. Ask her “who is Derrida”? ASK EVERYONE THIS QUESTION. Go to the alley where the Wayside Inn is located. Pick up the acorns on the right side of the alley. Talk to the gypsy at the far end, buy 2 formulas from him. Enter the Wayside Inn. Talk to the barman. Take the empty potion bottle from behind him. Look behind the curtain and buy the bottle of fine wine. Take the flint and a hair from the drunk.

Nice music, great art, kinda disappointed it was so short. Reminds me of that game with the cloud harvesters and floating rocks. Oh, and it didn't give me the badge after completing the story. Gave it five stars anyway.

Wow! Loved everything about this game! Actually, I think it should be called art, not a game. A great work of art! Please tell us another tale soon!

I've received all the pages, & finished the story three times, getting everything, yet still haven't received the achievement for finishing the story/game.

"It seems someone is actually thinking about this grave." Then why did you take its bell clapper?! Surely you could have found something else to ring the bell... unless Madam Butterfly only opens the door to the exact, distinct sound only a clapper makes. :D Oh Myosotis, we still love our pretty little klepto.

Two things people seem to agree on, It's a beautiful game that everyone wants the sequal to, and not a lot of people who complete the game are getting the badge.

Didn't get the badge neither... too bad, but still a great piece of a game. Could be longer (a WAY longer wouldn't hurt)

Great game, and the sequel is even better if you can get it to play. (It worked for me on Safari, which I normally never use.) Unfortunately the badge here still doesn't work...

I like how the husband becomes just an item in your inventory and you can use him like any other item :D 5/5 for man-trading

Beautifully done game. Engaging characters and a flawlessly seamed art style really kick this game over the edge into amazing. The background story certainly isn't skimped on either.

The potion bottle is in the tavern on the rack of shelves behind the barman. +Up so people can see, because it seems people are having trouble with this. =/

5/5 -- I absolutely love the art style. This is among my favorite artwork/styles I've seen on Kong to date. Great music. Neat story. Really, you got so much right here!
