Thanks for playing! Indeed it was a prototype to prove if the gameplay would even work. Seems like it has a lot of legs though so that is definitely a possibility :)

nice game. in my opinion, the only major flaw is the walls: 1:, they mess with vision if you're behind one, 2: evasive fish can go under them (or is this intentional?) and 3, they don't really make sense atmospherically, but that issue doesn't really count since it's just a prototype :)
Definitely a valid point. Yep I did allow fish to go under them because in early playtests, I would just trap the fish against the walls and it was pretty boring. Tbh, since this is the first game I ever put out publicly, I actually thought only a few hundred people would play so I just quickly whipped up the world. Little did I know it would get a decent amount of players. I've been trying to put more polish in my games since then, and I hope to revisit and fix these things in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

I appreciated a lot about this game. I really like when a game makes you feel like you've leveled up and defeating enemies becomes easier and easier. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback, that was very much the feeling I wanted to give. A step ladder of sorts where you get rewarded for collecting more fish, and it lets you tackle harder challenges as a result :)
Ah very strange. I have gotten different kinds of reports regarding browsers not supporting the graphics so I could try something new there next time around. Thanks for the heads up!
Doh that's unfortunate! Tbh I don't know exactly which browser and version works. From reports from others, it's been somewhat inconsistent so it very well could be the combination of pc and browser.

Shoot. I am at work on a toaster and i cannot play due to my browser it says. Chrome says it won't support graphics... I'll try at home unless I am missing something here.

Just wanted to say thanks for this game. It was a quick adventure, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Smooches.
Thanks a lot :) I wanted to keep these prototypes short and sweet so people can get a good grasp of the concept, while keeping dev time low so I can keep churning out ideas.
Sorry bout that, that was an issue I never figured out how to resolve since I can't recreate it. I got some ideas for next time around though, thanks for the heads up!
Thanks and I agree with you. When I released this, it was a proof of concept that I didn't expect more than a few thousand plays on. It was quite a surprise that so many people played it, and for a pretty long time. I didn't plan for an endgame as a result, but through everyone's feedback I have a good sense of what I should do for a full version. Thanks for playing!

i have one request...
you may not like it, but it is what we need.
GUNNNNNS
i wanna shoot the shrimp!
I.e make an alternative form of fishing. instead of catching this fish you can kill it and sell it. give 50%, but alot faster. also add skills! like you catch enough stuff and it says
FISHING LVL 2. and it gives a small bonus.
i like this game
You are in luck, that is something I'm actually considering in a full game lol. I started doing this but ran out of time, but I wanted each of those fishermen you hire to be unique. I'm interested in the idea of them having different weapons, so you kinda resemble a battleship later on with how many things fly off your boat, not just fishing lines. So you might see things like nets, speargun, flamethrowers, who knows!

Chalk this one as a vote towards it too, very good concept, really peaceful and over all enjoyable, just need more fish to catch and perks and such to collect/purchase :P

Nice to see such a vocal dev! I'd personally love to hear music and sound effects in this game, and maybe have a smaller aggro range for the fish? The pink fish next to the shop murder me every time I head right, fresh from the store.
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it :) I'm definitely in favor of sound as well. Really the only reason I left it out was so I could develop the game faster. I'm trying to crank out a lot of prototypes so I'm cutting corners where I can to just test if the gameplay is enjoyable. After the prototypes are done I'll figure out which one of them to turn into a full version. If this is the game chosen I'll definitely be giving the map a facelift and avoiding trouble spots such as fish aggro too close to the shops.

i like the conecpt..need more content. e.g. cpu oponents also fishing and destroying the prizes .. buy bigger boats instead of simple leveling up .. bigger habours with different equip and and and and :D but i like it
Absolutely! The concept of this game was originally something like Diablo but Fishing, but there are lots of places I can continue creating mechanics that are unique to the theme. I think fishing tournaments are definitely one of those and I'd love to put that into a full version.
Thanks a lot, after I'm done with several prototypes I'll look to see which game I should turn into a full version. If this game is chosen I'll absolutely put in more content!
For sure. In terms of stuff like more graphics and music, this game was a prototype so I was focusing on testing one gameplay theory: would people enjoy a fishing game without a fishing minigame? The answer seems to be yes so I'm happy to see that. As I make more and more games though I'm leaning a bit away from the total prototyping strategy, mostly because I never expected this big of an audience :)

The move faster after leaving dock perk is kinda useless (right now) since all the fish are right by a dock, and the only ones that aren't are the minnows at the beginning, which give you the reward. Ways of fixing this is by either making docks farther from fish, or changing the perk. If it is going to be changed, I don't have ideas of what it should be changed to.
Yep that's a good point. It's designed to get you back into the action quicker but it won't really shine until new levels are added to make that worthwhile. With that said, some people have mentioned the speed is too fast anyways so I'll have to think about how to change it regardless. Great feedback!
Really appreciate it :) I'm still looking to prototype some new games before deciding which one to turn into a full game. I'm taking comments and feedback into that decision so replies like yours matters.
Thanks a lot! Atm I'm mostly thinking about a Steam release for one of my prototypes one day, but I did think that if I were to do a mobile game, this game probably fits the platform the best with its simple control scheme.

Well that was totally adorable. Others have said it, but I'll say it again - Laser fishing is way more than than normal fishing
Thanks! This game was a proof of concept (and also my first published game) so I actually had no idea that many people would be playing it haha. So I totally admit, I didn't put a ton of content out because of that. I appreciate the words though, it encourages me to make a full version of this down the line :)
Thanks for the feedback! That's really unfortunate, there actually used to be even more camera motion in an early version and I got rid of all that, but good to know it can still affect some players. I'll have to try some more variations sometime to help with that.
Glad to hear that :) I hope to keep pumping out cool prototypes for you guys. At the end of this prototyping phase I'll choose a game to finish out for a full version so it could be this one.

such a fantastic game. the mechanic is great, ive finished all the fish levels. i thnk that there maybe should be an upgrade for fishing line radii because that can be useful, as well as more fish and higher levels. such a fun game, can't wait for the expansion of the game 10/10 easy
Thanks so much :) I think those are great ideas and I have a lot of plans on how to expand this from all the comments you guys are giving. I'm currently prototyping some new concepts but I hope to revisit this one day!

"Your browser does not support any of the required graphics API for this content." Tried on both Firefox 77.0.1 (64bit) and Chrome 83.0.4103.97 (64bit)
Thanks for the heads up! I think it has to do with the technology I chose but I was never able to recreate the issue myself so I couldn't figure it out. Sorry you can't bring it up on any of your browsers. I'll be trying some new techniques in the future and hopefully that fixes things, but it won't be anytime soon unfortunately.
Glad you liked it! Nothing coming anytime soon since I'm still prototyping new concepts, but afterwards this may be the one I choose to take to a full version. Hope my other games suit you in the meantime :)
Glad you're liking my games :) I won't have updates coming for this game any time soon but I'll certainly be cranking out new games and prototypes for you all.
Thanks for playing :) Yea this was a prototype for me to try out a new kind of gameplay so the content is a bit sparse, but I was able to see that there was a demand for this game so I hope to touch it up in the future.
Haha that's nuts. I really do want to warn you ahead of time that I probably won't get to an update on this for a while because of the prototyping, and that the next version of this game will probably need a save wipe as I bring in new systems. I really don't want to make you feel like you wasted your time but this game will change a lot with many more systems so I wanted to give you a heads up!

Please add moer content. I like this game a lot, but after fishing around 7k fish, it does get a little repetative...
Oh no doubt, the game wasn't really made to grind past a few hundred fish so it's amazing you even got that far! I appreciate the support, but I do have to say that I'm currently in a rapid prototyping phase and kicking out some new games and concepts first. Once that phase is over is when I'll look back at the games and see which one to make a full version of. This game is definitely a candidate for that so stay tuned!

Very fun game, only thing thats kinda out of wack is the costs. Such as the upgrades are not all maxed when the collection missions are completed but other than that very solid game!
Thanks for the feedback! It's true that the costs don't line up like that but the final upgrades are meant to provide goals for even more zealous completionists so I think it's alright if goals are staggered a bit.
Thanks a lot :) It's been a bit challenging trying to figure out if this game should end up more on the action side vs the relaxing side. Hope to figure that out by the time I revisit this.
Thanks for the feedback! Yea I originally wanted the concept of new zones unlocking when you reached certain exp levels. Of course, I ended up only having a few zones in this prototype but I think that idea could still remain in a full version.

Both these are your other new game are excellent, something different that is sorely needed
Please dont forget them in search of your 'next' new game!
Thanks a lot! They're absolutely not forgotten I assure you, it's simply a time trade-off. If I focus on maintaining these prototypes, I won't have time to make new ones. Once I've made ~5 prototypes is when I'll evaluate all the games and their feedback to see which one to move forth with so I'll be listening to all comments like your own :)
