Took me a few attempts to get past the 2nd round then it was easy. My advice. Dont upgrade cannon fire rate, do upgrade cannon damage. Build and up grade your fighter bays. What weapons you choose are up to you but put some cheap laser turrets up front to take the brunt of capital ship attacks.

"Listen boy, focus at one target at a time and only see that target. Isolate that one target from the background, aim and kill it... then continue with the rest one ... by ... one"

Great game! Keep at it! I've always wanted to see a game like this. Needs more missions and variety, but a solid start!

Thanks Kyrator. A little too late for me and you don't need it to complete the game, but now i can build that beast i've always wanted. Maybe it should be an option after you complete it rather than a cheat. cheers!

Couldn't follow the story and once you get repair up to max a little easy, but still a great game. Also i want the option to carry on and fully mod my ship into a beast!!! Good job!

My repair drones flew away and therefore I died. .. This game is incredibly difficult. On normal. Spamming turrets doesn't work because then there's not enough money for repairs, and strengthening one turret doesn't work because there is no turret (not even main gun) that can protect you enough.

pros: good concept, beautiful backgrounds and nice artwork
cons: the dialogue lines are too short-timed to be read in the heat of battle; the limited vision on the vertical axis is frustrating (when enemy fighters can just go off screen and pop up right on your carrier); the repair drone AI is buggy (in two games all my drones went off screen and NEVER WENT BACK!); the bullet flight speed is too damn slow for such a long battlefield, thus making aiming frustrating. 2/5

i think you shuld have an option to repair damege part of the ship to get some of their functionlaity instead of flying a garbage XD but awesome game 5/5

I adore this game. its a very unique twist on the old "Defense game" classic. The story is also incredibly engaging. If i may add suggestions:
1) Make the story text a lot larger and posisbly at the top of the screen, with no "box" behind it. I want to follow the story, but i can't read itty bitty text in the lower left and fight at the same time!
2) Up/Down scrolling. I don't even know if its posisbel to shoot those baddies who fly above/below the screen.
3) Specialized modules: Bridge modules, sensor modules, salvage modules, engine modules, power generator modules (maybe in a sequel, hint hint?)
4) Music!
5) Stay awesome. I mean that.

If you let your fighter bays spawn their maximum amount of fighters, then sell the fighter bays, the fighters they spawned will still function normally. If you then rebuild the fighter bays, these new bays will build more fighters, meaning, you could conceivably have well over your "maximum" number of fighters on the screen--if you have the RU to support the tactic.

Wattro: 3 n's, learn to read. And you can guess how far away from the screen they are and get close enough to shoot and hit them.

So i just noticed this, dont know if anyone else did, the reason the ships are able to go off screen is because it doesnt really matter, since the arrows tell you where to shoot. Like it shows where you should be aiming to hit them. I know you have to figure in the time it takes for the shot to travel, but apperantly piron thought it through when he did that.

and another thing, fighters shoud have range. stray shots from the edge of the scrollable area can affect the mothership? that does not seem right.

great game! ended too soon...but went by really really slow! more upgrade/build choices would be cool... more zoomed out so you dont have so many fighters above and below the screen... other than that looking forward to the next one!

Nearly impossible to get past lvl 2 w/out the cash cheat on hard, gun shoots SO SLOW, and targets are so tiny, they hit your ship like 10 times before you kill them

Fun game, pretty long though, and the lack of background music hurts it some.
Also its pretty hard to read the text boxes while you are trying to aim, and even if you stop shooting to read them they can go kinda fast and the text is a little small. 4/5

thought it was great overall except two things:
1) harsh difficulty
2) The enemies can move above and below your field of view making it very hard to hit them, know where or what they are.
Fix that and it'll be gold.

*Sniff*, so..... beautiful. It reminded of many different and creative stories, from Kurt Vonnegut to Ray Bradbury. Good work with the story, the ship looked nice, the battles were fun. The only imporvment I could suggest would make the text at the ending a bit more readable.

lasers are clearly the best turrets as they have limitless range and fire fast. flak is about useless I find and the rockets are far too slow to be of value.

crap...huge ship against tiny ships? thats just insane...upgrading is not clear and what the hell is au? one more thing i never judge games by thier graphics...unlike some losers..although they ARE only mediacore
