nice wasting game after 35 missions attack rate on generals for enemy tanks make like 20mins on each mission just for waiting under round shielding before you can make its possible to win each mission due permanent spam from 2-3 sides non-stop

if you upgrade "shield bounce" more than lev 1, just put mouse cursor on enemy you want to hit and shot will reflect, bounce right to him.

I just learned that is possible to complete the game without the anti-matter shield!

wow. don't underestimate the final level, but also don't be excessively scared of it. just play your normal game, optimising the way ainlay and xarran or sepherial suggested, but don't make the same mistake i made. i tried to save every bit of money for the final battle, so i replayed some levels even 10 or 15 times. i did save a lot of money, and bought everything before the last battle, and won in the first run, without even concentrating.

For the Hard badge, I went with Ainlay's strategy. Kept investing in the energy infuser until level 10. Defeating the lvl 10 boss gave 5 bonus points. Bought the anti matter shield and after winning one more point, the heatseeker missiles. Each additional bonus point went into Investment until it was at 20% interest. Kept the spending to a minimum and by level 40 I had 1,350,000. Maxed out what I could and kept buying hp / shield when cash was above 1 million. I didn't buy the sticky shield. Found it was a distraction and in the latter levels, you simply don't have time to aim and shoot.

followup to my previous comment:
1. Build I used to beat the game: bonus points until 29% interest, then antimatter shield + whatever else you want (pretty much just choose whatever buffs offense).
2. Obviously the less $$ you spend on upgrades the more you'll have collecting interest, but it doesn't really matter past ~250-300hp / 150 shields as you shouldn't have problems winning with that much hp. The offensive upgrades cap around ~$100k anyway.
3. Beating the game without the antimatter shield is nearing impossible badge territory, but with it you shouldn't die more than a few times throughout the entire game.

spent the last two hours trying for the hard badge. restarted after figuring out that i should've kept money for investing. It took me 20 minutes to go from level 1-40 on the second run, then the last hour to go from 41-49. I've attempted level 50 for 45 minutes now. It was a cool and fun game, but the ramping up on the difficulty is so absurd that I'm giving the game 2 stars.

the blue shield isn't accurate at all, so many moments when you just can't do anything except try again and hope for more luck. 2/5

Hints for the hard badge: 1. Save the bonus points and get the anti-matter shield ASAP (lv 15); 2. Save as much money as you can: with the shield you don't really have to worry about your health or damage output; 3. Get offensive bonus upgrades (EMP, fireball, explosion); 4. Be patient. + if it helps

How in the heck are you supposed to beat ANY bosses on general. Seriously, I've only dealt about 1/10 damage in about 2 minutes, with the time limit being 2:30. How?

Many annoying things in this game, It has quite a few good points, But the long "Game Over" Screens are one of the annoyances and the fact that if you do not spec into the all around shield at the start once you get to the later levels, It justs gets nearly impossible to block anything as there is stuff coming from 6/7 different directions at once and the unresponsive barrier doesn't help either. 3/5

The screen rumble should never have been a feature in this game >.> one bad hit and its game over even if you are full life in the later levels, because than suddenly everything gets through due to the screen rumbling.

Why in the name in Heaven would you have a timer on a boss battle? Level 20 takes 1:40 to kill because you have to wait for them to fire at you. At least you get unlimited continues from your save.

Pro tip: Get heat seeking before the last level, it will speed up the final boss (which you can't just wait out, you have to defeat it) a ton :)

The sticky shield shot and the animator shield don't go together, sometimes the shield goes around me when I am trying to shoot

I had a glitchh causing the "game over" not to stop existing and becoming "part of the battlefield". On level 45. On general. The game may be telling me "You already know the outcome. Why are you even trying?"

I was all ready to rate this game one of out of 5 because I was seriously not enjoying it, but then I bought the sticky shield and life was... well, not good, but better. It would be much better if that sticky shield was available from the start, in my opinion.

Just like the Vector TD games, Interest is key. Played through general once, this is what I did, *make sure you beat every boss for 5 bonus points. After each boss ... LV 10 5 interest LV 20 5 into interest LV 30 2 into interest 3 into antimater shield LV 40 2 into inferno 3 into heat seekers ( very useful against last boss ) ended up on heath 550 and over 400 million excess cash. After LV 9 3+3 shield & energy LV 19 6+6 lV 29 9+9 max shield bounce and energy cell. Fun game.

Timing out when fighting the boss: -2 (He's worth a buttload of money and bonus points. Extra point detracted because there's no way to grind for the resources he would have provided)
Mouse responsiveness subpar and occasional projectile making it through the shield: -1

For the hard medal, just buy the antimatter shield and hold space.
Thing is indestructible. Just wait out the timer when it gets too rediculous.
