Cool game. Very worthwhile and reasonably priced premium content. As someone else mentioned, this game reminds me of old days of Kong. I'm looking forward to finishing this game and checking out the other games by this developer.

I should have said this as well, medics have higher dps than basically every other unit? Wut? That's pretty strange. :p Each should have its own benefits. Forcers and Medics have the stage.
Yeah, but also Medics don't have any splash damage abilities, so they can only hit 1 target at a time. Plus their accuracy is not the best, and some shots at a distance will surely miss the target.

I don't understand the heavy's, they seem worse than marines in every way, including the ability. Naturally you want at least 1 anyway so that you have an extra ability, but shouldn't they be a tad better? Also, premium was a good way of asking for money, better than what most devs do. Well done.

As far as I can tell, level 6 cant be done. The hammer-bots are WAY too tough. If I let them through, they kill me, but if I focus fire on them, tons of other bots get through and kill the ship -.-
There are lots of ways dealign with them. Marines and forcers can push them backwards, Medics slow them down, Engineers are capable of stunning them as well as mines and some other units skills. And also Medic's shield protects from hammers. And also watch this video: https://youtu.be/gOB_IU9t_vo
Perhaps it will speed up casting for some players, but there's no rush in using skills as it is always possible to pause the game and select what you want to use. So a second tap is used to deselect an ability which is more fluent for most users.
Er... Can't understand exactly what are you talking about :) You haven't notice a Pause Menu I guess? It is always possible to click it (a button with a gear) and select where to go next :)

Really nice game, but some skills seem to be broken , "optimization" , "resurection" , maybe some other, they are the most obv is it juste me ?

5/5. Games like this just don't get developed anymore on Kongregate as a platform. The artwork is hand-crafted (Look at the detail the artist put into those overhead Act maps!). The music is used properly. The gameplay has a core loop including the discovery of fundamental shifts in how the game's strategy works (unlocking classes/abilities) while still maintaining the game's difficulty balance. This game's future iterations could compete with the likes of Learn To Fly, SAS: Zombie Assault and Gemcraft. Platon Skedow brings back the best of Kongregate in an age where most studios that used to release here are trying to express-lane Steam Greenlight so they can put up a half-baked Unity games for $2-5. tl;dr ... There's nothing half-baked about Stellar Squad.

Alrighty, I have everything 100 percent done, including the premium content cuz ive been saving those free kreds for a good game. BRING IT ON ACHIEVEMENT BADGES IM READY

Not without its flaws, but not idle, not pay-for-multiplayer, not incremental. Great game compared to most others that appear here recently. 5/5.

Suggestions:
1. The overall balance is good, but it feels like the economy is too hard considering all the stuff you can upgrade. Replaying old missions should yield a bit more money.
2. There should be a possibility to keep a unit from using their skills (or the whole squad together), so that you have a bit more firepower ready against tougher enemies.
3. Sometimes the screen is really cluttered with effects. There should be a key in the tactical-pause-screen that removes all of them.
Besides that, I didn't find any bugs or balancing issues. Good job. :)
1. Yeah, economy is something I'd like to work on. Currently I'm designing an endless mode which will be possibly a solution for those who spend time replaying the same story missions. When I just started to designing this game, I didn't think it will be a problem :) 2. Well, thought about that, because it is really a good idea, but decided to leave as it is - there's almost no space to make more UI elements which should be comfortable to use... 3. Well, I added some sort of that feature in Royal Warfare 2 - there it was an option to make all dead and regular units partly transparent to focus on what's important. According to my statistics, only 1.5% of users used this feature :)

These days I only check kong every few weeks, because there simply aren't any games worth playing coming out anymore (kong is not to blame ofc), but finding a game like this every now and then is still a joy.
It has everything: An elaborate concept that makes good use of the typical gamemechanics you would expect from a game like this, while also adding many new and good ideas and details, an overall good and immersive execution concerning graphics, sound, interface design and all that, a somewhat immersive story with a good amount of humor and last but not least, a completely fair payment model. You can see and feel that the dev put a lot effort into it. That said: Thanks for letting us play this gem, keep up the good work! :)

platon skedow i admire your games and how interactive i have to be in these tactical games. Its f**king amazing. I haven't sat at a Kongregate game this long in awhile. A lot of people on Kong miss the games like this one, that keep you there, progressing, and isn't completely mindless.

EXCELLENT game, not an MMO, not P2P, and not an idle game. but the grinding to get cash for upgrades gets a LIL monotonous, otherwise, GREAT game! 4/5

Great game, but I think the skills should get greyed out immediately after the soldier enabling it dies. It's very frustrating to try to use a skill which looks like it's available only to read 'skill not ready' popup, which is hard to read anyhow in the heat of battle.
Beside that, I'm really enjoying it and, as others have said already, it's a breath of fresh air to see a game here that's not an idle clicker of sorts.

Well, mb it's a bit easy (went inadequate and beaten last level with 6 meds). Anyway 5/5 will support by getting premium in near time. Make continuation ASAP idle games conquered kongregate we must reconquer by making great games!

Oficinaman: Couldn't have said it better myself. It's spectacular to see a real game on here again. Especially one with this level of quality.

Whoever you commenters are -good for you, if you like this game so much then keep it, it's all yours. I played this for a couple 'victories' and still, not much really made a whole lot of sense. So, it will only take one "defeat" to convince me to move on. Thanx anyway.

Awesome game!
Loved the line from Snatch ;)
Mind adding some replayability like keeping all relics after starting a new campaign or a harder/survival mode?

Defenders Quest Easter egg? Does this mean that you will be cracking a new game with the other devs?! If so BEST WISHES PLATON SKEDOW

Here's a good strategy to breeze through the levels: Bring one commander(if you have premium), one medic, and the rest heavies, if you dont have premium just use a heavy instead.

This is immersive, not p2p, great music, well balanced and the premium content is implemented as it should be, to expand and enhance the standard game. Kudos Platon Skedow, faith in browser games restored. 5/5

If you decide to make this a full title with plenty of maps and scenarios, I would buy it. Just make sure it plays in the browser like this one.
