I prefer the level-based format of the first game (and being able to bite your tail is an annoying mechanic); but this was still pretty good.

note to wizard727: actually, at the lowest possible health, i think you get like zero health display things. imo, it's more an indication of how many damage points left untill the next hit kills ya.

I don't understand why the path of flame boss has the light orbs spawn directly in front of him. It's neat that you battle for them, but because he gets the upper hand in what should be a random race it's just dumb.

Wow those levels in the second world are the exact same as the ones in the second world of Shadow Snake 3
Guess I'll have to change my rating at both of these games.
Please never make a game ever again

Yuck, can't defeat the Path of Darkness Boss, even with having all Upgrades maxed. Sorry, but 2/5 from me. If you're going to make a game whose purpose is to dodge attacks, make it so you actually CAN dodge the attacks.

I think you should add a score board with a bonus for having a longer tail. That way, people might not bite off their own tail in order to get hit less.

Litthe tip... For my experience, if you bite off your own tail, you will take MUCH less damage then you would if a enemy hit your tail. So, not rarely, you might find it a good tactic to cut off large pieces of your tail, to make it easier to avoid attacks...

This was fun, but there were a couple things I noticed:
1) The sun pieces you get from the "Vitality" upgrade don't seem to work toward the level goal (damaging the boss or charging the portal). If this is intentional, it should probably be included in the upgrade description.
2) The collision between you and your tail is a little weird. It looks like there is a small area near the cursor where there's no collision, but if this is intentional it would be nice if the rules were explained.
3) The amount of life and tail segments you lose when you get hit is hard to predict. I thought it was 1 life and as many tail segments as would be cut off if the enemy were a knife, but I'm not sure.
If the tutorial could be more clear about these things, this game would be perfect.

ît's really annyoing, that you lose focus so often and die because of it >.<
otherwise, great game. nice graphics and a cool upgrade system!

the beginning was good, but the further in i got, the worse the execution of the concept behind this game became :/ 3/5

nice graphics and other whatnot but i found it rather boring :/ sorry i give it 3/5 because it is a nice game anyways

this snake has a serious short term memory problem: hey look its my tail *few seconds later* HEY LOOK! SOMETHING WIGGLY! *nom* OW MY TAIL!

An impressive sequel to compliment a game that was pretty good to begin with. I like the mixture of snake, avoidance, and combos. With, of course, a couple power-ups here and there to spice things up. And I especially love the upgrading system; it's pretty awesome when I can spend energy to create the ultimate, badass super-snake. Although things can get pretty frantic when you have to juggle multiple enemies, getting sun pieces, not biting your tail, and keeping your life points up, that's what adds to the overall difficulty of the game; I love a good challenge. At the very least, great work, and I hope you get to continue and improve on your work in the future.

A great Sequel to shadow snake indeed. With the upgrading system created and other aspects such as the background music and the confucius teachings. Easly an 5/5, however if acheivements had upgrades as rewards(maybe at shadow snake 3 if created), this game would go from a 4/5 to a 5/5 for the general public.

Part of snake's charm was controlling it using up down left right. I still liked this game though. It's simplicity is charming.

5/5 not because i consider the best game, but because it has all it needs: simple, user friendly, nice graphic and music too. Very good work.
