you have a huge success with this game! epic music and the bosses are nice too. i love the special attacks and everything else in this game. i allways have loud sound when i play this cuz i like the music so much

Coming into this game, I truthfully did not expect much. I had been a fan of these games, but the usually becoming sorry and repetitive. Even with my horrible thoughts of what would happen coming into this game, I was simply impressed. Choose a control scheme, and off you go. Gameplay was good, pretty seamless with no lag for me. Easy to get money and such. The boss was interesting, and fun. I had a smile on my face as I played. After the boss, the upgrades screen came on, and even with a row unavailable, I was still pretty happy with the variety.
However, a few downsides: The action, as in a lot of these games, got a little overwhelming for me in the second level. With the helpers, my wave shot that I got, and all the other things flying around, quick reflexes are a must. Also, I was somewhat confused on some of the things on the HUD- The blue bar beside the health, and the adrenaline bar. Gameplay eventually fixed that.
4.7 out of 5 as a final result.

This is by far the only game in this genre so far that has it right: lots of upgrades, achievements, and, most of all, INSANE bullet dodging. 5/5 great game.

Also, money should roll-over to your next game. It should be collected. I quit after episode 1 once I found out I didnt get to keep any of my stuff

All of this game is awesome except survival mode. Oh gee, another badge that's more of a chore than a fun thing to strive to get. I just want to jump in and start it, not go through the money collecting stage. Why not start off at the powerup screen with enough cash to buy whatever you want? Other than the survival mode that annoys me, this game is awesome and much better than Frantic 1. Endurance mode is very fun.

@moonlightaffairs the blue bar right next to your life bar is the "Tension Bar". it fills when your ship is directly next to flying bullets without getting hit. whenever its filled to the top, your multiplier gets 1 higher and the bar empties. also this bar can be used with the "Adaptive Weapon" Card which makes it make your weapons stronger when its full.

the shots that look like short lines aren't lasers. the lasers are red and reach the entire screen, and scraping them can REALLY suck while youre also trying to doge shots n missles aimed right for you

uhhhhh I found a glitch i was playing episode one level one or whatever and the game froze, my score shooting up to somewhere along the lines of 99999999999999999999999999 and combo at 10k and each shooting up faster and faster.

GOD DAMNED!!! ive tried episode 1 on frantic a THOUSAND times and still didnt make it. after really at least hundred tries i made it to the final boss just to be killed by it. how do you survive against a screen filled 100% with ring-shaped FULL rings of bullets? they are undodgeable!!

tip for frantic mode. get big green heart and laser weapen. upgrade laser to max for SUPER damage to anything in front of the. get targeted for more damage to things in front of you. for bsses stay close to them for max damage. this should work for frantic mode

I also think that frantic 2 can be a pain in the butt too. One time I almost got the last ship, but I ended up losing all of my lives.

Survival mode tips: 1) Always take the last ship. It has the highest speed(shields are useless), and the wingmen will help you get the money you need for anything else. 2) Don't underestimate the particle shower. 3) Go to options to change the settings(to increase visibility) 4) For the bonus stage, the optimum coins you can get is around 55000. The highest possible that I've got is 70000. 5) Don't scrape bullets. Always stay far from all enemies, as they're unpredictable. 6) You can't use adrenaline, but earning adrenaline still gives you score.

Why does everyone assume there is a triology? Just because there is a badge that says 'triology of destruction' (Meaning 3 episodes in the game)? There wouldn't be a 'triology' feel in frantic because THERE IS NO STORY

Captaininsano, you need to complete an episode in frantic mode to unlock survival.

I think in survival mode, you should stop giving purple coins. give the player purple coins in the bonus stage together with the gold coins. I always get confused between bullets and coins...
Also, I think the Kamikaze badge should have been an impossible.
