Would be lovely to have an option of fighting every boss on every level to get some practice. For the badge, I have to watch Tass' playthrough of the game to study the attack patterns of every boss. Game's still cool though.

It's one of the more fun versions of this type of bullet hell games. It seems easier than other iterations. Still, after a while it gets repetitive.

Man I'm bad at this game I can't even cheat XD
I played twice and didn't beat it then I tried as the 1st ship (highest damage) since I didn't really like the shields anyways. I noticed when you pick up enough upgrades it shoots behind the ship so I would play until I got that upgrade then go hide in a corner and when the boss came I'd just get above him and sit there which worked at first.... but a few bosses later the game had me figured out and would teleport me directly in front of the boss and insta kill me XD

Question: Why have a badge involving you not getting hit if you can't replay levels without starting the whole game over? 3/5 for poor judgement.

Not colorblind friendly, or maybe the contrast of some enemy bullets is way too low. Actually not friendly in general, since I was shooting so many bullets I couldn't see the enemy bullets regardless. Medium and impossible badges? More like impossible and impossible+ badges.

Mouse is so much better than wasd in this game. Just some games it's a bit more even. You move much faster with the mouse than you can with the keyboard. There's also no way to switch after you start.

"THREE LIVES? NO CONTINUES? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?"
But seriously, dying to a stray bullet by the final boss and having to play the whole game again sucks. I thought we had collectively realized erasing player's accomplishments is a bad game mechanic (unless done on a much smaller scale like in rogue-likes) and also having as far as I can tell no invincibility frames and a standard full hitbox in a bullet hell game is a big no. Game is from 2008 so some of this can be excused, but why kong thought this needed a badge of the day in 2017 i can't imagine.

Lol. That was awesome! It's my first play to here. Nope, I just played Bullet Hell games before. I choose the ship with high firepower and low shield. I beat up no problem, but I could not obtain this badge with no damage taken. Read on high vote-up comments should be helpful for you! I wasn't read them while playing it anyway... haha...

Tips for bosses:
Use your special on the boss when you are on the most risky part: it helps your concentration carry over by not dodging.
1st and 2nd boss should be easy, but it can get you off guard if you are unfocused.
You need to actively move for the 3rd boss, as the sides are safe but you can't hit the boss while you are there.
4th boss is troublesome, but not that much compared to the 5th.
6th boss has a safe spot, just be slightly off to left or right on the bottom of the screen.
7th boss also has a safe spot, near the bottom left or bottom right of the screen. this one might be hard to find the right spot, through either way this one shouldn't be too hard.
You need to be careful on 8th and 9th boss, as their attacks don't have a easy safe spot to get in and require somewhat tight maneuvering to dodge.
Last boss is just slightly easier than the previous two: stay focused and you should be fine.
This combined with the best comment's tips should get you the impossible badge. GL!

More Tips for the impossible badge:
ALL of the bullets in game travel only in a straight line centered on enemies: they never curve, and a most of enemies fire them either once or in rapid succession on the lines of /|\, Λ, and |. Its the varying velocity of the bullets and movement of the enemies that makes it complicated.
Don't go get all the coins, especially on later stages: its way safer to stay still rather than to collect all the coins when there is enemies around.
The Rocket Wingmen is useful since it can shoot enemies coming from behind, can speedkill enemies before they shoot bullets, and lessens your need to move.
Staying in the center of the stage is mostly safe since a fraction of enemies appear from the central top of the screen, through you might have to move if they are shooting straight down or there's large ships coming from off-center.

This game doesn't have any random or player based pattern and you don't get damage from colliding so there could be safe spots any time, it's not bad trying to find them.
