I came here thinking I would play a fun tower defence...and maybe learn something about medicine. But all I got is a bunch of towers with seemingly no effect. White blood cells I would think would stop an attack at least at first. After that, I tried broad spectrum items with higher stats, still no avail. I am not exactly sure how to figure out what towers really do what. And how I am supposed to prepare for it.

I LOVE the concept!
But man, it's just too HARD. Lowball the early levels more, so that I have a better chance to learn how to play before I'm thrown into the deep end.
And with the complexity level of this game, I'd even say that it would be a good idea to do one of those VERY slow intros where you start off with only one or two weapons, and gain an additional weapon every level until you have them all.
As it is, there's too much tossed at me too fast, and I lose interest, as much as I want to love this game.

This game is fun, but it could use basic things like after all the scientific stuff it should say in brakets what its good against. Also there should be a thing to say what the next virus is.

this game is amazingly detailed, people who hate this game are the same people who think learning is overrated. a tower defense game thats actually a useful training/refreshing tool for fellow biochem/med students. I tip my hat to you Precocion.

this game is too complicated, tone it down a little to cater a wider audience. Having other difficult features like fog of war, spawn 2, etc would be a waste when players can't get through the puzzling part of patient symptoms and medicine effective against a particular monster. Look at other popular games like Desktop TD Pro, Whiteboard tower defense, Onslaught, Gemcraft and learn the best TD practises. :D

I hate these "Build your own maze out of towers" games. 1/5, not even going to try to play it. Yes, that's weak. No, I don't care. Genre hate.

Online games aren't for spending ages trying to figure out one thing, you should just have an info box of the next wave with what it's weak against like ...I don't know... all tower defense games?

a very nice idea but it could be realized better (at least it could reflect the real mechanism of getting sick...) otherwise it's much like the desktop tower defence

To clarify on the orifices - if the patient gets 'airborne' infections, the bacteria come from the top... genitals the bottom... stomach the middle, arms/legs the top left, bottom left. Or come up with something different... the point is I could set up a spectrum of gram-positive stuff to deal with MRSA or TB from the top, and gonnhorrea/syphilis from the bottom. Plus the lack of time between waves and the poor display of information makes it near impossible to figure out what's good against which bugs before they're munching on the patient's tender bits.

The material isn't confusing, but the presentation is. Plus, I never have enough money to place the right towers to combat what i think the right diseases might be.
too many things to list to improve this, but here are my biggies.
1) set up multiple entrances corresponding to the patient's orifices.
2) give the player a LOT more money between waves. Make available cash part of patient history or something.
3) remove the wave timer, or make successive sets of waves sensible. A real M.D. wouldn't use the same dosage, etc. for MRSA that they would for the clap... i hope.
All in all, this is a great game, it just needs a lot of frameworking and polish. 4/5 for original idea and in-depth research.

i think it's a funny game.. now, i dont know if i'm dum or what, but i understand like 10 % of the bacterias, and it made it really confusing.. :(

A complicated and interesting game. It was a rather interesting experience, and I'll have it favorited to play it again. 4/5.

While this game looks nice, it's not really that intuitive in terms of use. There's way too much to learn in order to even get past the first few levels - this isn't all bad if you're looking for a game that you really have to pay attention and invest time to play well, but frustrating if you're loading it up as a casual play game.

yeah there is a lot of info. That's great. It is real info about the way the world really is. You don't have to read it all to play at first. Read a bit play. Want to get better read a bit a more.

I mean, it actually IS a good game, and I admire the dev's knowledge about this stuff, but it's still too hard for the about 95% of Kongregate's users who are not M.D.s

and the info is one fo the best parts of the game, if you dont want to learn about it, play one of the other 5367 games on this site...

Gah! Too much info. You should scale down the types to something you don't need a PhD i medical science to understand.

ok im gona say this once have any of you red the info i know the game is kanda wrong in some parts but others its right on also i do agree its a little confusing but the eisiest way to win is fill the screen with whiteblood cells delte one add a difernt tower when you think your done with this process upgrade as simple as that
5/5

I enjoyed playing it without really studying it in great detail. I managed to win easily on Easy with only a fuzzy understanding of how it worked, and some tactics from Desk-Top Defender. Interesting. I think I enjoyed it more than DTD. I like having a game be MORE complex than my understanding of it, actually, as long as one can still have some success. Interesting.

Ow my head. Information overload. Played on Normal-Normal (fog and creep fight back 2 or whatever) and got raped.
Towers don't have enough hit points, I had several die as soon as the bacteria was in range (from full hp). Sensor towers--IMO--should be immune to damage, they also need a longer default range.
WBC towers need to do more damage. I think they were only effective as damagers for the first wave, and by wave 5 or so they did next to nothing and I hadn't the money to build real towers (or repair the few I still had).
