I'm not sure if anyone could win the 10K mode without using a gate technique. I think this version is a great improvement. I'm looking forward to a larger field (in v.2), specific choices for the types of creeps, and air nets. What I'd REALLY like is a wall that falls on a segment. :) 5-stars! (The only 5-star I've ever given out.)

Skullmuffin: Smash tower is available in the medium and hard modes.
Agnate and GirlNextDoor: Direct quote from greg about this game... "In the developer’s defense, I specifically requested that he upload this version as a new game rather than an update. This one has a lot of improvements, but I think they’re different enough games to warrant it. Some may even prefer the original."

I liked the original game, but don't really agree with a re-release that has only minor changes. If you were going to release another game it should have at least 90% new enemies and weapon upgrades. I still like the game, but I will agree with Agnate that an original game should get a chance at winning a contest, not a re-release of an old one :S

Though I agree that this truly is a great game, I can't see why you would post this as a new game, when it is clearly just an upgrade from the old one.
So much for letting original releases win some of the contest money.

Love this game. A lot harder than the original, the dark creeps are very hard and although ink towers do lots of damage they rarely hit anything and are expensive =(
Good to hear the different noises, the 'Lemmings' sounds were kinda annoying!
7/5

great game
but
fairly simple
i only played 10k easy and normal mode
and all it takes is to use a bunch of pellet towers to maze and then upgrade fast(middle ones are best to upgrade)
but great game

After playing on hard, I found there were more towers added that were not in the medium setting. I really like the boost towers, they're one of my favorite towers from TD games. I still think the ink towers are fairly useless. I put money into getting on to the highest level, and it seemed to do very little compared to my squirt towers. Beef it up some (or the dark creeps) so its more useful/needed. But I do like the new additions to the game.

For the dark creeps, they have armor which is resistant to any low damage attacks, so you need to have a decently upgraded tower to be able to hurt them at all. Level 1 and 2 towers arent going to cut through it.

This was very fun, the Morphs always seemed to be able to get though my Typhoon maze... (They morph to suit the time E.G. if they are iced they will turn to immune if they need to rush they turn into speed etc.) the Darks were ok, just needed to freeze them! Because of their naturally slow speed the Blizzard tower almost puts them to a complete stop. I like the sounds of the creeps now much better then in the original. Awesome game! Brilliant preecep!

The darks are very interesting. So much firepower is wasted on them that it completely breaks my old maze. I need to restructure to take out the darks earlier.

I really like the score on the send next button to let us know what we'll get if we click it. Dark creeps don't really seem to add very much, I didn't use any ink towers and managed just fine on my first go through on medium. All in all, I don't really feel its so much of a step above the last version, but more of the same is obviously not too bad :p

((Oh hush, CrazyGirl. [[Love ya~!]] xD DTD was the game that got me hooked to Kong in the first place--of course I'm going to have much commentary if it comes with a release. ^-~))
In fact...one more thing...I think that the ink towers could've been made just a little bit cheaper. They were hard to come by in the earlier levels of the game. Cheaper with less damage, in fact, might have been best. Don't know what Preecep wants to do with it...but...*shrugs*

And since the comment box seems to consider things in "-"s as crossed out things...
The following is what was dashed out:
First comment: ...and that was the uselessness of the Bash towers. I always have an issue with games where there are things about them that are simply not helpful...
Second comment: ...but I would’ve preferred having ink towers as ones that shoot no matter what, leaving behind some residue that creeps simply walk over, getting hurt. Seems to me that it would’ve given them a much more interesting use...

The new graphics are okay...but I personally preferred DTD 1's more. Perhaps it would be possible to make an option to revert back to those graphics? Not sure what's in store for DTD, but I'd really like to play future versions without the new graphics. ((No offense. Again, it's just personal taste.))
Anyway...all in all, I really liked this release. If some of the originality of the previous one could have been kept, I would've been a little happier...but I'm still giving it a 5/5 and adding it to my favorites. So with this, I say...another great release, and I send this with my gratitude.

The added voices were fun. I kinda wish that they were a little more high-pitched like in the original, but hey...more voices, more interesting, I suppose.
The added strategy of maze-building with the boost towers should prove change many old strategies, making this a definite sign of improvement...but what I didn't like was how the Ink towers essentially HAD to be used. I know in the last game, the swarm towers were basically essential too, but it was always possible to destroy flying creeps without them. It may just be a personal taste issue, but I just didn't like how the Ink towers were absolutely necessary. I don't know if the developers would be looking to do this--but I would've preferred having ink towers as ones that shoot no matter what, leaving behind some residue that creeps simply walk over, getting hurt. Seems to me that it would've given them a much more interesting use--especially when it came to maze building.

I don't think the comment box is letting me post all that I want to say...so...it'll be broken up. Sorry for this.
((Because I like to read previous comments, I'll say this much in reference to much older comments made--although this could be seen as an update, DTD 1.5 has many differences that I am certain some players will dislike when compared to the original. Having 1.5 as its own release would allow those players the ability to play DTD 1 without having to go through whatever it is they didn't like about 1.5.))
Now. This update, as far as I could tell, really helped with one of my biggest issues with DTD 1--and that was the uselessness of the Bash towers. I always have an issue with games where there are things about them that are simply not helpful--and in the original DTD, I thought that the Bash towers were one such example.
