Dammit... I wish I could fight Karnos and Animus again, or even the bone demon or the security demon... Could you please add the possibility of fighting these bosses again? Like, a "boss battle" game mode, in which you load any file and fight bosses?

I finished the Light Temple without defeating a Sekil (#55). Does it appear elsewhere or should I start a new game if I want the cataloguer award?

Can't believe how great of a game and series it is as well as how much time and effort had to be put into making such an incredible game with amazing conversations / storyline / quests. All-around definitely the BEST game on Kongregate. The only thing holding the rating back is the mere fact that many people who don't like RPGs in the first place come in and rate it low, putting this game's rating at an unfair disadvantage against other simple games where the people with 0 attention span and knowledge of what real games like this are rate crap like "Screw the Nut 2" a 5/5, and the games that REALLY deserve a 5/5 like MARDEK are somehow even close to having the same rating as eachother. But I got a bit off topic, this is the best and most well-made game on Kongregate, despite whatever the RATING says. Kudos to you, Pseudolonewolf.

A very thorough, comprehensive game that is intricate in its detail and enjoyable in its gameplay. Sure, the load time is big, but it's only because the game is so big. I have encountered no game faults, only failing because of my less-than-stellar gameplaying style. A definite 5/5. I like the new spree of near console-quality RPGs that are coming to Kongregate. This game would definitely survive and sell on a small handheld gaming system, so I'm glad the developer decided to go online (free) instead.

umm... i dont like the game (because of old time graphics and no idea what to do) but i did like the starting story line i just think you should make it a little more understandable

man, when i first started playing this series i was hooked. Pretty much the same way i was hooked when i played my first final fantasy game. You've tied in a compelling and entertaining storyline to a very hardcore RPG system. The descriptions are hilarious as well as the commentary. I really want to commend you and you're team for all this, i really appreciate the good work. If you had made this in 1995 for a console i think you'd be quite rich by now.

Just annihilated Animus, yeah! It was pretty straightforward when he had less than 10 spr and gloria had over 80... Still, his Omega attack was VERY dangerous. Having 0 spr, he still brought my hp down to less than half (everyone even had 50% aether resistance) with ballad of balance on. I guess i'm done here, which is too bad... It had a lot of fun playing this game, and i can safely call it the best rpg flash game ever made.

Quest and story triggers need work. Somehow ended up skipping a huge portion of the intro level and went directly to an elemental cave (without trying to do so) and the sandstorm caves are inaccessible from the main map after you leave... retarded shit

It's a game like Mardek that makes me really rethink giving 5/5 to anything. This game blows away the competition. Can't wait for the next chapter!!

This is a great game -- great detail, great artwork, and great music! It must have been a lot of work to compose it yourself. The one complaint I have is that I have wound up really disliking Mardek. He gets all the stupid/silly parody dialogue, and it has removed all emotional depth from him. I know certain plot events cause that...but still. He's the title character, and I want to like him more.

ahh yes Ive been wait for this, Ive enjoyed the series completely since the start, the dialogue is brilliant by making you laugh while expanding the story at the same time and the music used is awesome to listen to, ill find something else to comment on later

Beating the bone demon can be pretty tricky. You should use elwyen for ballad of balance, mardek for Morality Block, and gloria for null earth/fire. This should probably block all (or most, at least) of the status effects he can inflict you, as he uses elemental attacks to inflict them. I reccommend solaar for 4th character, to heal and to buff gloria with spirit graft (and maybe even attack the demon). Using earth (or just all elements, like the rainbow robe thing) resisting skills and equips can help you too.

throughly enjoyed this series, i cant beleieve i forgot all a bout it, then chpt 3 came out and i finished chpt 2 and now i am doing chpt three... btw how do u beat the bone demon?
on a side note i love the comedy in this game beautiful job. now what u need to do is go talk to valve or bioware and get a job in the gaming industry since u are CLEARLY talented

Maybe this is just me talking, but you should definitely do all you can to try and get this series to the console stage, pseudolonewolf!!! I'm sure that all the work you put into this series is well worth making some major phone calls to some major companies and get some major gaming going! I'm no multimillion dollar developer, but I would jump on that train without hesitation. I am in awe, Sir (I'm assuming you're male, if not, my apologies haha). In awe.

Other equips you should consider include Light Resistance stuff, and try giving your party a light -50% resistance skill, to avoid being slaughtered by his first attack. Good luck people! It took me around 2 hours with this strategy to win, do what you can to make mardek hit harder!

Oh wow. Beat karnos on lvl 32 on first try! Team: Mardek, Elwyen, Gloria, Solaar.
Strategy: Make sure elwyen is ALWAYS using ballad of balance. Use solaar to heal, and heal often (maybe throw some elemental damage items at him if you can). Use elwyen to Null X Once (null karnos' element) very often, if he changes into light or dark, use mardek's Null Morality.
If he changes into a weird element (non nature 4), hit him with magic, it will probably make him change it into something mardek can really hit hard. It is a good idea to buy the haste fairy (you need to use the bandit key in the aeropolis slums) and equip it to mardek, as hitting him with physical attacks won't make him change elements automatically.

Great game so far, just like the two others, however I have a problem with combat situations. When I've stayed in the same area for a few minutes, the game becomes slower and somewhat unrespondent to my keyboard and I may have to press keys several times before they work. It really bugs me, especially with reactions. It fixes itself when I change location, but it's pretty irritating if I'm in a large tunnel network or something. Is anyone else experiencing this and/or has a solution for it? Thanks in advance, and again, brilliant game, brilliant work, 5/5.
