I must agree with "Thecakeisnotalie". People, not EVERYTHING is a Ripoff! It is also classified as an inspiriation! Obviously here, Pseudolonewolf might have been inspired by Final Fantasy and thought he could make a game of that genre! And it turned out awesome! That's the thing! I bet none of you complainers could make anything like this.

I had given up all hope on the third one being released. Thank you for continuing my second favorite rpg ever made. I've literally played a few hundred rpgs too, so my opinion is saying something. As meaningless as it is.

real good game! in this mardek you to need to puzzle with those doors. in mardek 1 and 2 you dint had to do that and that makes the game harder, but to for a part more fun.

lol there is a zombie blocking the door to the sewers and when you talk to him he is referring to sonny 1 he is talking about waking up on a ship with a blind man and instead of having a tape hes got a scroll check if you like

i cant find the last ingrediense on shamans brew. serpent crest. how can i find it? please tell me. well the pixie dust can be found on a chest in lifewoods. but please tell me how to find serpent crest! well i like this game. :D but its a cave in deserth path, and a chest, :D in my first time i got killed BY A BONE DEMON LIKE WAS IN THE CHEST! OMG!

Really, really loved the game. Chapters 1 & 2 were nice, but way too short in my opinion, but this one's simply EPIC. I'm totally addicted, not even halfway through yet, I think. At times, this game SO remeinds me of Pokémon, especially when having Gloria in my party (Razorleaf FTW ;))

wow i have 1 char left and she is berserked and confused. and the enemy keeps casting confuse... everytime she hits her self she heals her self so im stuck in a cycle... screw this game

It's a fun game but I liked Breath Of Death 7 more (in the retro game parody category) but its probably still one of the better flash rpgs on this site.

The only problem I have with the game is that i'm going on vacation tomorrow and won't be able to play. : ( The game is too good.

3. Character development: this is the sole reason the older RPG's were incredibly fun, because they made you CARE about sprites! Same thing here, I have played Mardek 1-2, and the story does a great job about developing everyone both in abilities and in the story. In fact, this is the main reason many games don't mean much to people...you can't care about something that seems to have no emotion and just hacks and slashes through bits of code.

I believe you cover most of these points:
1. Difficulty: it is annoying when you have a party of 3 or 4 in RPG's (FF comes to mind) and you can solo bosses because you have had time to grind out levels and equipment. Your utilization of elements and abilities makes it so I always have to pay attention to what I am fighting and what ability I am using! Refreshing considering how disgustingly simple most RPG's I have played have been (the first "Lunar" series was okay since bosses stats scaled with yours but stopped at level 50).
2. Humor: makes people want to READ the dialogue. I have laughed out loud at simple item descriptions! The fact that it is a parody on the series does not mean in anyway that you do not give any information about the items. I like how you have details like 10% extra damage, but still have funny descriptions! I also love the dialogue with you and the NPCs. I mean really, a chest next to a monk? That deserves SOME explanation right?

Amazing. And by the way, if you think this game is a ripoff of final fantasy, thats like saying Thomas Jefferson is a ripoff of George Washington. Its a genre, and you want your game to have all the good aspects, so If i drew a lady on a piece of paper, it wouldnt be a ripoff of Mona Lisa, would it? Sooo, yeah. 5/5 great game. Not a ripoff of anything

First of all, this game is great! But would it be possible to add a brightness adjustment to the options menu? I noticed that in some areas, such as Canonia during the zombie invasion of Mardek 2 and in Mardek 3's Dark Temple that it is very difficult to see if you aren't playing in complete darkness. Again, great job though!

does anyone know how to find the serpent crest for the stupid shaman, also, 5/5 really great game, if i could just get past the first bit
