Beyond excellent game. A tip for the quests that unlock Animus: Do the fairy quest dead last. The fairies, especially the yellow one with Auto-Haste, are very useful. In fact, without at least the yellow fairy the solo arenas are significantly more difficult.

@ SarahKreuz There's going to be about 8 games. If you are surprised by this, you will be surprised by what Chapter 4/5 will be like.
My Comment: Very good game and quality, I was lol'ing to my self about how epic this RPG is.

There are some small issues:
-Damage Cup should be raised. I have already hit 9999 multiple times with Mardek. And that's still in chapter 3. By the end of chapter 4 I'll be hitting 9999s with many characters. This shouldn't happen less than halfway through the game.
-New abilities. I got all abilities with Mardek. We need new ones for Ch4.
-Compatibility. Since Ch1 was small I didn't have a problem playing the first two chapters all over. However, if you release, say, chapter 7 and it's incompatible with the rest then I won't fancy spending 2 weeks to play the game from scratch.
-Items. Those scarabs we got from the Annihilators are pretty haxed. I'm not sure if I'd replace my red scarab with whatever you think of releasing next.
In any case, Mardek is by far the best flash game and one of the very best games OVERALL I've ever played. In fact I had more fun playing Mardek than playing half my games on Wii. Just consider these long-term issues.

okay, i read all the comments about the game being amazing and so forth, but it loads and i figure its a pixelated game. Sorry guys but i just couldn't see it beating EBP, maybe with good graphics it would reach number 1.

I would like for skills to show up in the abilities section, regardless of whether they've learned it, and for all gear that could teach it to show up when you click a skill in the skills tab, though. Maybe for the next one, if it's not too much trouble? :)

Mother effer! why do the happy johnny's gotta be so frickin OP! if I don't kill em in one shot they all use "thousand needles" and one shot my character's despite being 3 levels lower. Third game over in a row from one insignificant enemy. Uncool bro, uncool.

i'm not hating right now Pseudolonewolf but this is too much for a simpe man like myself. i am a more casual gamer, i won't rate your game down just because it's too big since that would be unfair. But JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!! how can you expect me too play 100 + hours on one of 3 games. i couldn't get through the first 2 either. but hey i didn't rate the game out of respect for SO MUCH time and effort put into this game. i have a IQ of 156 and i gotta say this game takes too much too time too finish. i mean ACTUALLY finish, you know, go to every dungeon and get every weapon available. then yo have too try and talk too every person and blah,blah,blah.

darklordiablo i think your tip would probobly work better for most people. i wanted to get rid of vinnies annoying status afflicting abilities so i left bartolio for last. his berserk didnt cause me to much trouble as i got mardek to throw up a shield whenever he got the chance. bartholio also missed a lot and i managed to kill him with everyone alive. still anyone reading this I would advise the strategy i suggested yesterday except kill aalia, then bernard then bartholio then finish off vinnie as darklordiablo suggested.

woolfdude, You are almost correct. BUT! When fighting the saviors, kill Aalia, then Bernard, then NOW kill Bartholio, then Finish off Vennie. Bartholio goes into a beserk mode when all his allies are dead and can be VERY hard to kill. I speak from experience. - I played for 350+ hrs, searching for stuff before I even got to the fire temple. And make sure that you are fully healed before attacking them, of course. octogone and anyone else having trouble against the worlds saviors let me give you a few tips
1. attack them one at a time and exploit their weaknesses such as what elements they are weak to and either low physical or magical defense. aalia should be your first target and bartholio should be your last.
2. if they keep killing you on the opening go maybe you should check your characters defensive skills. are you mastering them? you should be.
3. make sure everyone has healing potions not just mardek. also this is pretty basic but in case you didn't know healing spells can be used on everyone at the same time, though it costs double the amount of mp.

I'm very sad to say this, but after playing this game for more than 10 hours, I'M GIVING UP. I got as far as the end of the fire temple, got to the world saviours, died before I could even hit ONE of them ONCE! So I started again, spent more than an hour going through all the town and all the equipment I could find, tried to build the best characters I could, went back in, and DIED MISERABLY AGAIN without being able to land a SINGLE HIT on ANY of THEM. Add to that the ANNOYANCE of having to go through the guardian battle EVERY TIME you want to try fighting those guys again......... It's TOO MUCH FOR ME.... I can't even IMAGINE how HORRIBLY FRUSTRATING this game must be when you get near the end. It's really sad because I think it's a wonderful game, with great humor, graphics, gameplay, etc. It's just too hard and frustrating for me, it ruins my fun completely....

I'd like to say that i have been looking for an rpg EXACTLY like this one, light humor good long game not less then an hour to beat, lots of puzzles and actually keeps you wanting to get further into the game. I'd Like to say that i hope you keep making Rpg's. You truly do an amazing job at it!

Ehm, seriously, Reincarnation: All Hallow's Evil have a better rating than mardek? It was already difficult for me to see games like The Enchanted Cave, Protector IV, Sonny 2 or epic battle fantasy 3 with a higher rating than Mardek, BUT NOT THAT ONE! A double facepalm isn't enough for this...

One question: Why do you walk slower in certain places than others? In the Lifewood, you walk slowly, but in the Dreamwood, Aeropolis, and the Warport, you walk a lot faster.

In one word: astounishing. We've been waiting for very long, but I can tell you Pseudo: it's been worth it. This DESERVES to be the best game on kong. (for some reason I still don't understand, epic battle fantasy currently holds that place. Why, I don't know, because MARDEK surely owns EBF.) Ah well, maybe with MARDEK 4...

Don't give up on this, pseudolonewolf. It is your masterpiece. You will inspire generations. That could be bad, because I don't know if the world can take another hippie revolution (look at what Lord of the Rings did).

gotta ask Pseudolonewolf wats wit ssln'ck's arm is it like broken or somthing cause the bone shoulder pad has actually confused me and he never uses it, or can somebody just tell me cause thats had me fer a while, also love game 5/5 have like 70 hours from other files packed up (left it on a few nights in a row)

Nice game,I would like to give you some tips.can you make they speak during battle like sonny.who agree(+).by the way this is my favorite game on Kongregate 5/5.Can't wait to play Chapter 4 that i think more exciting than the other chapter.and i would like that Deugan or Emela can join Mardek again.I believe Deugan is still alive because the dreaming stone said that Deugan is saved by someone

I love these games, but my biggest issue is the game saving. I spend weeks playing the first two so that I would be able to transfer my save game to this one. Two years later I have a new computer and no original saves. Maybe if there was a way to export the save to a file or if there was a remote server we could save these games to. Maybe I'll wait for chapter 8 and play through them from the beginning...problem is as soon as it's out I want to dig in.
