RPGs aren't my favorite,infact,i disliked them.But this,this has an exception.The combat system is great and so is leveling up system.I love the way how you don't need to grind a ton of levels just to beat someone.The dialog is great,funny and informative unlike most RPGs where you get the urge to mash a button through the dialog due to the boring and stupid dialog.The characters are great.I love how mardek isn't the type to "Moap and weep",yet he is VERY funny at sometimes("Do dragons have arses?""Whats a menu?""Oh no!A non plot related boss!").5/5,and defenitly my favorite game in the site.(Also i loved the reference of mardek in clarences big chance)

Interesting facts for those who missed the Sun Axe in the SOLAK Sun Temple... YOU DIDN'T MIS A THING. In like 3 peoples arena challenges there are more Reverants... I got no Sun Axes in the sun temple, but two from the arena.

game sucks
not because of the story or the quality of the game.
in my opinion its the not the lags, its not laggy.
its that it continually FREEZES in the middle of a battle and for some reason it doesn't work
its driving me crazy
besides that, great game. then again, it might just be the computer
but it's an hp 2010 pavilion entertainment pc, so i don't think its the computer

I refuse to move on to placing the warding stone in the sun temple before finding a Sun Axe. Doing so has cost me 9 hours, has gained me 30k gold and I have earned Donovan 7 levels, mastered all but 2 skills; Sharla 7 levels and all but 3 skills; and Mardek 5 levels and has mastered all but one skill. The hunt is still on, I am determined.

I played the first and second chapter and had a blast, it was easy and very fun, but I didn't realize that I could attack multiple monsters with spell attacks until I accidently tapped the left arrow in battle, during the third chapter. Wow, lol, i'm retarded.

@chaos258: I personally think that Deugan will play a major role in the next few games, seeing as the dreamstones are mostly about how he did not die etc. By the same logic, the mystery man is in one of the dreamstones, also he seems to know somebody in the last game. This shows that he may be another plot character that was never killed

@AntiAnarchy You've got a point there. Though, do you think that due to its popularity, somebody might volunteer? Or maybe he'll learn or something like that? Because after all, he'll definitely benefit from it, in terms of cash AND will get far more attention, I believe. It will be the best RPG game in the App Store! It has a most intriguing plot, one programmer and it's definitely amazing in numerous other ways! I'm not giving my hopes up! This game should definitely be on the App Store! + to increase the chance for it to be on the App Store!

This game reminds me of KotoR, except in a more awesome, flash-based, hilarious, and ultimately more moving way. I must say, this series is the best RPG out there. Too bad I can't have it on file to play whenever.

Well, on his website, I believe someone mentioned it once. He then answered that comment. Or something like that. I could just remember wrong, but I am almost certain he said that. After all, he is only one Flash programmer. Well, hope that explains it or something like that.

Quick tip for good boss experience: use a noxious bomb and kill the boss with poison. Everyone in the fight gets full exp!

Pseudolonewolf would add this to the App Store, if only it were that easy. This is written in Flash, converting it for the App Store would be too hard/out of his knowledge to do. Just thought I should clear things up. :D

I saw the comment about the haters calling this a final fantasy ripoff... and they MIGHT have a point. seriously, pheonix down? also, I hope at some point the players get scaled down attacks, or you'll end up like imaginary mardek and deugan at the beginning of chapter one.

My old computer used to be so slow, when i transfered my game finals to my new one, i was very suprised to see how fast the reaction bar moves on a fast computer lol. 5/5

I must admit i'm very impressed, by this game, It must have been a daunting task to do a "flashgame" ( I can't believe i could have more than 40 hours of game play for a flashgame) like this one, with an interesting storyline, an addictive music, A LOT of humor, and i could go on for a long time. Some useful tips before you get started with playing Mardek Ch. 3: There are units who can multi-cast spells by using the arrow pads, (left to target all enemies, right to target all allies) some fights (Blue !-marks) can be skipped, others (Red !-marks) cannot. If you ever get stuck; there's a walkthrough made by the developer under the 'help' tab in the menu. Very useful, because it includes tactics and secrets. I really enjoyed this game.

I fail to understand HOW this amazing game could NOT be on the top 3 list of games. The only reason Epic Battle Fantasy is rated higher than this is because of the boobies. But this game actually has a story. One the greatest and well thought out stories I have ever seen. The music is amazing and all of the scores are original. Even the story WITHING the story is Incept- beautifully written. The characters are multi-dimensional and actually have you develop feelings for them, unlike most other games. The amount of imagery and motifs in the game is unreal and I was left wanting more when I finished. To anyone out here who gave this game 3 stars or less, I present to you a bird. To Tobias Cornwall (Pseudolonewolf) I give you my undying fandom. I just wish you had as much enthusiasm in this series as much as I do.

It's easily the best flash RPG I've ever played, and I consider this game to be much more interesting than the "professional" RPG I've played in the past few years. The game system is top notch. The game is FUNNY. I mean really funny, like always smiling funny and occasionally loud-laughing funny. It's great (remember the last time you've laughed in front of a RPG? I don't). The water temple is a (PROFANITY)ing nightmare (I consider it a direct reference to Ocarina of Time). The bard is actually useful! (I think it's the first time. ever.) There is a lot of side quests, the dreamstones story is really nice, the books are interesting... I will stop here, because if not my comment will be three pages long and no one will read it anyway. Pseudolonewolf, you're a flash god!

This game is superb. Absolutely stunning detail in the plot, graphics, and music. The Dialogue is nothing short of exceptional, and the enormity of the storyline boggles my mind: I can't even imagine how much effort and tireless labor went into it. I don't think I've ever seen such quality in a flash game before. Even many independent games can't compete with this standard. Come to think of it, I haven't enjoyed a great many Commercial RPGs as much as I enjoyed Mardek. Maybe Baldur's Gate or the original NES and SNES RPGs (Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Evermore, ect) Keep it up, Pseudolonewolf! Please keep going with this fantastic series!!
