@MetaDrew Wtf is wrong with you? This is on the best of 2010 for a reason. The game is amazing. Simple as that. Get it through your head.

Just thought I'd say that, Psuedo, this series will never leave my mind. Please pursue it! Heck, I bet if you released the first half of the series (Which would be up to chapter 4, unless I'm mistaken) on a physical copy and sold it bundled with a few extras (such as the OST), you'd sell plenty.

Uggghhh, why oh why is this game on the best of 2010 achievement, I have done all the other ones, but can't stand playing this game long enough to get it, 50 points thrown in the trash

Wow. After 73 hours and 16 minutes, I've realized I'll miss this game a lot until the next chapter. I've done every single sidequest possible, re-did the 1st chapter a few times, the 2nd once and some parts of the 3rd chapter. This is the absolutely best online non-MMO game I've ever played. And I've played quite a few. 5/5, definetly, for all 3 chapters.

First time I saw Happy John, I thought: "haha! what a ridiculous enemy!". Then I met him again and he made 800 damage in one atack! I will never underestimate a jumpy cactus again...

Mcluvvin Just use a healing spell and press the right arrow key. Then it should target everyone and they'd all be healed. Then u could kill him.

Dear Kong, Please don't put grindhouse games into the "Best Of" categories for next year. "Walk back to the beginning of the level to unlock this door right where I am now?" gimme a break. It's repetitive repetive. I understand some people love these quest games (I like some of them too) but this one doesn't qualify for a Best Of 2010 rating. Maybe perhaps for diversity's sake but I never saw a banner to vote on which games should be in the Best Of 2010 Medal List. Did any of you?

WTF!?!?! I lost to the same enemy TWICE because my arrow keys DO NOT WORK AND NEITHER DO Z AND X WHEN I TRY TO PLAY THE GAME!!!!!!!!!

A video game is just like a movie. A movies takes millions of calls to create and one call can ruin the entire movie. This game probably took months to make and then some idiot plays it for 30 sec and ruins it with bad comments. COMMON DONT POST BAD COMMENTS. 5/5

That feeling you get whenever you think you can kill the boss when everyone is dead on your team except for Mardek... With 1 HP. You attack the boss, he goes to 1 HP, and kills you. -.-

People who are using laptop-type computers, DO NOT play this game unless you are very interested in it. It will take a long time to complete

Nice game. Just a pity they put in in the 2010 quest. The med achievement is somewhat slower ( but not harder) to obtain than other achievements, but a lot of players want the 2010 medals, and will rate this down because they have to spend a lot of time on a game they don't really like.

Forget what Bernardo says about you Pseudolonewolf, you are not useless or a waste of space. Nor bloody for that matter.

Trying to juggle z, x, s, the arrow keys, and the mouse while sorting through your inventory is pretty tricky. Otherwise fun, seamless game.

Ugh.... the only problem with Kong putting this game is the Best of 2010 is that a lot of people play the first dungeon, find it boring/unbalance, and give it a low score. The first dungeon.... okay, it is a little boring, but it is not unbalanced, and if you play through, unless you skip a ton of battles, you won't find it unbalanced. As for boring, that's more subjective, but I find the game very fun. And for people complaining about it being too hard: this isn't EBF. You can't just plow through everything. There's actual strategy. Please play through it more before giving it a low score.

IMO this game is a little unbalanced. i was at near full health, had everything set to go, and what happens? i open a chest, just to get ambushed by 3 blood drakes (or something) that kill all my party members in two turns. -_- not to mention it takes FOREVER to level up, when being paired with enemies that can easily kill you in less than 5 turns.

Awesome game, but I hate how it takes 2 turns for poison to wear off when it, in theory, has a 4% chance to wear off.

@Stovic just so you know the inventory is, in many ways, brilliantly designed. There IS a sort button if you had bothered to look for it. The individual inventories is probably due to the sheer amount of items in the game. It also makes it easier to manage individual characters. Yes there are no labels but honestly aren't the graphical icons just much easier to memorise? Besides look at the inventory where would the labels go? Every single one of your suggestions has either already been put in or has a much, much better idea already in use. There are no WASD controls because its easier to use the mouse. I can only imagine the amount of time and effort that must have gone into designing the menus and making individual pixelated icons for the dozens of items in the game.

This game is in desperate need of an inventory-management overhaul. Individual character inventories rather than a party inventory, no item sorting function, an inventory represented by graphical icons with no labels until items are highlighted with the mouse (Rather than a simplified list), and a lack of native WASD support. These issues mean players will likely end up spending painfully unnecessary amounts of time in the menus that should be spent enjoying what should be a great game. Your next attempt at an RPG you should carefully consider UI design to minimize the time spent in menus by the players.

@Trapslick Have you played the first two? For one, this is not going to be a simple, easy-to-win game. It's going to require you to equip yourself properly, not just with equipment but with a proper team and skillset accordingly. The sun temple is the very start of the game (There's quite a long ways to go after the Sun temple) and as such, your party options will be limited. rest assured, if you can make it through the first dungeon, you should be able to get a handle on the game afterwards. With a few fights as exceptions, seeing as some of the boss fights are actually difficult.

great game, could have been improved easily with a few minor adjustments though... like "m" to reach the map, and a town portal type of move... i only played through the sun temple so far, but is mana really that needed? none of the spells were powerful enough where unlimited mana would've stoped too much. but i reallly don't want to sound like i didn't like the game, its a %%%% ton of fun :)... just a little more attention to the interface would've gotten me to the 5 star mark.

Ive been trying to play this game for a while, but it keeps ignoring any commands i make. randomly, ill get in a battle or talk to a person and i cant do anything and have to refresh. I thought it had to do with internet explorer (as always), but the same thing happened on firefox. could you look into this? thanks
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bears a bit of resemblance to FFX; revival methods are both Phoenix Down, some attacks look similar, and when you take poison damage, the flinch is similar. But its a great game!

Just defeated guardian of the fire crystal in a very thought fight and then tried to go back to save crystal and heal I was like fuuuuuuuuuu..... door is sealed. "Shit i have to fight those world saviors -.-"
This game is awesome.

Oh man, what a way to ruin a game... Stupid kong, forcing me into playing this for the medal.. Doing so made a potentially enjoyable game a hurried mess of frustration..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
.... i wonder who logged more hours, pseudolonewolf making this game or me getting stuck in dungeon exhaustedly looking for chests and getting swarmed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i just played the game and i got lost in the sun tempel xD im done playing for now but the things i have seen so far that i like is the fact that when you equip somthing it actually changes your appearance (that shows that the creator isnt lazy and just manned and or womanned up to draw different designs for the equipment) i LOVE the humour like in the moonstoone's description- they look as if they are worth a fortune yet when slain they fade into nothingness.Damn... xD 5/5
