For a free game series, this is downright impressive. I'm amazed that the developer would spend the time needed to develop something this complex, and completely for free. Definite kudos to you Pseudolonewolf! One of the best freeware game series ever created!

its not hard i beat the fire guardian easy just have to poison him it just there needs to be an autosave because i cant beat the four people after him so i have to kill him over and over again

For all the people who think that the game is too hard. IT'S NOT! JUST THINK. Seriously I beat the water guardian in my first try. It's not even hard if you equip the right things and use the right spells. Instead of you 6 year olds being clueless on what AP is or how to master things then read the stupid help guide. No grinding is ever needed to defeat bosses either.

31/2 out 5 stars, 4 if they can make the graphics better, 5 if they stop usely the enemys that always kill you in the begining of the game when you open a chest

for the "dont change that cuz it would be too easy guys": the best thing would be an easy and hard difficulty seting (cuz i cant beat the water guardian [tryed about 20 times] so i moved on to the fire one [won it :D] and then i got beat up by the darn heroes [tryed about 20 times] [i'm such a noob :( ] and now i'm stuck and cant play anymore... sad )

for all the people who didnt understand my last post: Theres a secret shop. Go to Goznor. Go to the shop in the southeast of goznor with the signboard above the door which has a y-shaped thing on it with a gem on top. Enter the shop. You should be able gto see a purple circle in the right chamber of the shop. Thats a dreamcircle. If you have the talisman of ONEIROS, you can enter the dreamcircle. Enter it, and talk to the ghost at the counter. It will sell you rare items, like 2 songs for Elwyen. I hope I have been clear enough this time.

@iLiberate, have more saves. There's room for 70 save files I believe - use them. Anyway A great way to get quick exp in the Earth Temple is repeat failing at the puzzles and using Legion's Spirit Nova (instant kill, if it has full hp) - gives about 2000 exp per kill :)

Haha, when I finally met Jacques for the first time in this chapter, I got 14 medals all at once...

Very impressive job. A great addition to the trilogy (or is there more? :) ) I haven't beat the game yet; not even close. Just finished the Dark Temple, but so far the series has been true to its' name. Great job, I'm very impressed. 5/5! If I could rate higher, I would! ^^

wow - its great work - lots of new places... and most of them (and some of the old ones) have a dreamworld version... i dunno how long this is gonna take xD (even more so, cause i want to teach everything to everyone xD )

I have played all of the Mardek Rpg games and absolutely loved them. This is my favorite game that I have ever played (I have played allot of games to!) I mean it is my favorite out of games I have payed up to fifty dollars for on proffecional game systems like PS3, GameCube, Wii, etc. I love your work and hope to see more games. The story is serious, yet with a humorous tone. I give it five out of five stars! Thumbs up if you agree!

not only are too many of the sidequests too obscure (especially the ones that require finding stuff in the extra-dark parts of the dark temple) but simply recruiting all the characters was too obscure...i would never have even aquired the "water crest" from the serpent without the walkthrough! simply too many areas that can only be unlocked by talking to a specific NPC WITH a specific character IN THE ACTIVE PARTY...i mean, the volcano, just for starters! and then the "sticky key" problem, which seems to be much worse with API addition...not really your fault, but...

In my enthusiasm for thrashing bosses I just accidentally missed out on a certain chalice. Slightly thereafter I realised that I can now not complete some of the sidequests or get the impossible badge. The walkthrough helpfully suggests that I try again on my next playthrough, as if I was going to invest another 20 hours in this game.
That said, I invested 20 hours in this game and enjoyed most of it. 4/5, please stop making easily missable sidequests.

Auto saves would be kind of cheap because Pseudolonewolf obviously MEANT to make the double battles (Fire Guardian then Saviours , Earth Guardian then bandits) so it would be harder.

i agree there should be an auto save because i just beat the fire guardian which i worked really hard on and i got the crystaland started walking back and th one people came and i had no chance to recover

I think that ALL have an idea of WHO is the Water Guardian, you have to see some of the Dreamstones and think, maybe is Emela, i think, maybe so much people thinks that the Water Guardian is Emela, anyway, only Pseudolonewolf knows it, and "Lone Wolf" is a part of the username of Pseudo, great game, i love these Mardek series, great work!

Oh btw @ Pseudolonewolf himself(and sorry for double): I hope you don't think of me bad when i say, i think its Final Fantasy-LIKE, but not a ripoff.A ripoff is something way else...also, if this is a FF ripoff, every jump and run must be also a mario ripoff^^

Pseudolonewolf, you are a [PROFANITY]ing genius. This game has so much depth and the plot is always intriguing. Specifically, the humor in this game makes it even more enjoyable. Excellent work, the most impressive flash game I have ever seen.

Great game overall, but has one thing that kinda ruins it for me. On Ubuntu, ctrl+alt switches desktops, something i do quite often. The game, however, interprets alt as pressing pause, and then when i switch back, it interprets it as me sending it to the menu, losing all unsaved data I have. Fix this key combination, and the game gets an easy five stars.

it rly kills me wen ppl downgrade games like these that ppl spend lots of time making for months and months of work some ppl just unrate for no reason at all this and 98% of the ppl that play this game LOVE IT if i could i'de rate it 100000000000000000000000/5 but this is one of the best RPG games ever 5/5

The same way you use any item out of battle, open inventory, click on it and bring it over each characters chat head and click.
