For all of you who believe this is a rip off of something like final fantasy, well atleast it's a pretty damn awesome rip off, this is good enough to be one of the their games, actually- it's better AND it's free...

There are several reasons for people to vote this game down:
You dont like the genre.
Your save files got deleted.
You didnt try to play the game.
Your some kind of graphics addict.
You lost a battle and are pissed.
You dont like a challenge.
You think its a rip-off.
Happily, there are solutions for all of these reason:
Try another genre, or try liking this genre.
Try putting your storage capacity to unlimited, and just start over.
Go back to your 50 dollar ps3, xbox, wii or pc games.
Go to the menu and load your last file.
Play casual games.
Think using your brains. you got em, so why wouldnt you use em?
But please, dont rate games down based on these reasons, which have nothing to do with the actual game. Only if you can enjoy this game but didnt, then you can rate games low.

Three iterations of the game and you still haven't learned how to make the mouse cursor visible when not over the game? I'm disappointed.

Nice job, more effort then most other flash rpgs, and Saul cracked me up. I guess thats it for now.
P.S: Solaar reminds me of Caboose from Red Vs. Blue for some reason lol

For anyone having issues with the Green Souls or their ilk (ralfh4) try using Dolorous Dirge if you run Elwyen. While it is Dark elemental technically and the Green Souls are supposed to ignore it, Dirge is special. Dirge ignores resistances entirely (read: it does damage even to things that absorb dark) and bypasses things like Null Dark. The damage it does, happens, regardless of enemy resists. Given this, and the relatively small HP of most spirit enemies, it makes for a good way to one- to two-shot most of them, depending on Elwyen's spirit.

wow. umm, let me summarize how I can.
This game has re-ignited a long forgotten love for the turn based rpg. I love the depth of the plot, regardless of the satirical nature of it. Now that I have almost completed all the challenges in this game, I'm starting to look for other turn based rpgs of similar quality to play, but without much success.
major kudos to you pseudo for this project, hopefull we'll get to see chapter 4 some time soon.

AARGH!!!!! I was at the end of the game, had defeated karnos, I had completed all of the solo arenas and I was the arena champion, then went to chpter 1, saved over my chapter 3 game, thinking it would put some of the data onto it, and now I have to start all over again!!!! Please fix this bug before it happens to anyone else!!!

This game is likely one of the best in its genre, even compared with "professional" games from dedicated software houses. Actually, there are professional games that are far worse than this. It... has extremely high potential, considering this is only the third chapter (out of eight, iirc), but it's not just that. It's ALREADY a great game, even if it ended now. Well, except the plot wouldn't be over.

Yes I just annihilated the Annihilator:Karnos! I'd tell you the move that basically did all the work, but its a secret, muhahahahahaha!

I absolutely love the game, replayed MARDEK 1 and 2. I'm in the middle of 3, and chose to battle a security demon at the warp port to see how hard it would be to beat and to see the bestiary entry. My party was Mardek(lvl 23), Sharla, Gloria, and Solaar(all lvl 17). After about 20 or so minutes of a single battle, using nonstop morality blocks, null airs, heal spells, and a single poisonous spear attack, I finally see the demon fall. I receive a level up for Mardek and 3 lvls for the others, along with a golden warport ticket. BUT NO BESTIARY INFO!!! I was so excited til I saw that, but I cant even fight a 2nd security demon with that save! I had to use a previous save when I realized I couldn't fight it with a golden warport ticket.
This may sound like a complaint, but don't take it as one, your games are awesome, and this could also be taken just as me giving advice on how to beat the demon (tons of exp, worth it)

Took me 15 mins just to beat 4 Green Souls (Aether) which are under 300hp with Gloria, Mardek, Elwyen and Sharla T.T ....... Is there anything good against Aether? Cuz Green Souls are immune against EVERY effect, absorb Aether and Dark and have good defence (really good defence for their level and considering they're not bosses....) against everything except one element which is at the right end......

This is FANTASTIC. I was really involved in the story and the battles, and there were several times I burst out laughing from the sheer randomness of what's in here... Like the warport - I gave the 'typical adventurer's reply' and got called out for being a terrorist. I died, but laughing. :D Looking forward to part four! Good luck!

"my character is a zombie guy who woke up mysteriously in some boat with amnesia, (...) and he met a blind guy..." LOL

A wonderful game. Man I don't know how to give this the correct review... but it is just amazing. Not only is it humorous in its parody of RPGs but it synthesizes some of the best aspects from many. The leveling and skill gaining system was great. Everything was so thought out to the greatest level of depth from finding items for item creation to a really entrancing story. Man oh man, a great 32 hours of my life. Like seriously, I would have easily paid 50$ for this back in the day (when SNES-RPGs were the thing). Bravo, amazing work on this.

I really like the game so far. However, the countdown timers on the rooms in the Fire Temple are WAY too tight; they should be doubled.

Great games loved them but when i was gatherin the ingredients to be able to get into the water temple i got them but the serpent thing dissapeared and so did my water essences ... the serpent isnt there anymore and none of my characters hold these items.. i also know that i did not sell them so i cant complete the game unless i start a new file but nahh too much work..

That ancient arcane lettering I see around all those magical things, is that Hebrew? Because I swear I can see lameds and uppercase mems in there.

Don't hesitate to talk to Sharla and ME. One minor grammatical error. Otherwise, I find the lack thereof quite pleasing!

@ Fruity: Tbh it was extremely obvious that you'd have to fight the Saviours when you did. You had plenty of time to pot up to full health and so on. It would have been annoying if you had to fight the dragon every time, but I'm pretty sure the saviors won't come untill you actually taken the crystal, so kill the dragon again and go save.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@FruityAfro13: It's meant to be like that. Bartholo says that he arranged the fight to be then BECAUSE you are weak after the guardian. It's meant to make it hard. You can just simply heal using potions and other consumables to restore HP and MP. If you need a strategy guide to beat the Heroes, check around in the forums. I'll even write you one if you want.

Ok this message is for Pseudolonewolf. Ok so i am in the fire temple and i just killed the freakishly huge dragon to get the fire crystal. i get the fire crystal and im weak because i just battled the dragon. then you send in the 'heroes' to battle? i mean what the hell. i didnt even get a chance to save. so now i have to rebattle the the freaking dragon. this is a terrible design flaw.

I do appreciate all the work that went into this game, and I have been a fan of Mardek since Chapter 1, but I must say that I am disappointed with Mardek 3's level of difficulty. The reason I enjoyed the first two chapters so much was because the games were humorous and plot-intensive. Now I find that I am running from one nearly unbeatable boss to another, without enough story to back it up. I feel that it ruins the balance of the game. As someone who is actually more keen on the plot than battles, I was especially frustrated to find that 38 hours in, I am unable to finish the game because of yet another unexpectedly impossible boss. I hope that in future games Pseudo will take into consideration those that may not be resilient enough to grind to the finish, but would like to see his beautiful work in its entirety.
