An awesome and worthy sequel. I'd like to throw out a suggestion: can you add the option for WASD movement? I want to be able to keep a hand on my mouse and pretend to be working...I mean...I prefer the feel...of...er...

If you are going to the warport make sure you don't respond that you are a terrorist or a Security Demon of 60000 hp will come, it killed al my team members with one hit

The Blood Lizards are to easy, You also couldn't open these chests, Also Mardek is a healer so you can use him for healing other allies, You just got to know how to play this game,
And Pseudolonewolf, I admire your skills and i'm very happy that you have completed Mardek 3, I hope there will be another episode and for me you are the best developer ever knowed. But please, don't stop with Mardek. Its the best game i have ever played and my heart would be ruined when this project comes to an end.

When I saw this, I realized that I never played Mardek 1 or 2! So I played them both on the same day (and my left wrist is cramping from pressing x znd z all the time lol).
I'm glad to see a somewhat non-mindless game around here. When you make a flash game, especially an adventure game, you need a driving force to make you keep playing. On Kongregate, the only things driving people to play are trivial things; things that should not be the basis of a game like badges (0/5 needs badges n00b) and dumb things like upgrades (except for Upgrade Complete!)
You get a solid 5/5 because you found and properly utilized the best driving force in games in my opinion: story. While this game is extremely fun and all for its RPG and nostalgic elements (not to mention the parodies,) the story of this game is what keeps me going. I can't wait for the next chapter!

This game is very entertaining, the storyboard and dialogues flow very smoothly, just one complain though: you die too easily fighting some of the minibosses at the beginning of the game.

I figured out the x save (I pressed x twice). I love this game, and I'm sorry that there are idiots who are willing to bash you on your game. I loved Zelda as a child and continue to enjoy this genre of games.

I must say I'm impressed by the comments that've been posted here overnight! Earlier, I was feeling annoyed at what seemed like a large number of 'haters', but now basically all the comments are positive and many are lengthy too (I always appreciate detail). So thank you, people!
Also, for anyone who's having difficulty with the saving, please heed the starting screen things. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST FLASH PLAYER VERSION! This is very important, as even slightly older versions have really weird problems sometimes. And make sure you allowed enough space for saving, too.

down with the blood lizards in the begining, i lost half hour- 1 hour walking around finding the priests and items... :( stupid things :L. literally man, please get rid of the stupid lizards, they are too strong for any1 at that stage of the game!. cheers for wasting some time :(. (and people, dont say you can kill 3 level 15s who pack a punch, because you simply cant attack as you are always having to heal.)

guys PAY ATTENTION to the message at the beginning you play. It said you need 10 mb to store information for save memory and unlimited for better battle performance. right click then click settings then click the thing with an open letter and an arrow pointing down to it. click and hold on the slider thing to 10 mb or unlimited. rate up to keep to keep alive!

for some reason i can't seem to save the game :p i lost 2 hours of gameplay before i noticed :'( where did i go wrong? :p i tought you just had to go to a healing stone select save and press x 2 times

A couple've negatives: There is no "catch up" system for when certain party members are of a massively lower level than everyone else. It really needs one of these, even if it is just getting the experience per kill that non-killers get.
I've also noticed you're sort of weak in terms of boss design. They're very repetitive and don't really require much thinking. Go have a look at Sonny's final bosses (which are, despite that games poor quality, very good in terms of creative thinking) for an example of a "good boss fight".
A personal pet peeve: I do wish armour would change like weapons do. I love that.
Other than that, it's a lovely game. If it was a commercial RPG, I would've given it 4-4.5/5, but as it's a flash game... 5/5. Hope to see more in the near future, it might even win you some more monthly cash prizes. =p

I have played this game only for an hour or so but I can defintley say that this is the best Flash Game I have ever played in my whole life! Pseudolonewolf you can defenitley call yourself the best flash programmer/game maker ever! You absolutely ROCK MAN!5/5 and faved. I will play this game for a long time! really great work!

Psudo. I hope i'm speaking for everyone with a brain when i say, YOU ROCK! You're games, music and artwork are outstanding. The Mardek series are the best flash games i have ever had the good fortune to play. Ignore the retards who call your work Final Fantasy rip offs. Your work raises the bar for free flash RPG's. Please, keep up the good work.

Mardek Chapter 3 was absolutely AMAZING! I have waited for this game ever since Pseudo announced and it has certainly exceeded all my expectations! Wonderful game, excellent job Pseudolonewolf!!

Ummm... i have gotten to lvl 29 playing this game, but all of the sudden when i refreshed it wont load anymore, all i get is a brown screen >.<, maybe ill try restarting my comp =/

The ratings are worth a billion words.
This game is, as an understatement and compressed into a ZIP file, AMAZING. You've outdone yourself with the new battle layout; it looks great. You also didn't leave out the looking-around-for-treasure-chests parts of the game either. I got more than what I had expected for a few years. I'm better than satisfied. A pleasant surprise after going on Kongregate after a few months of taking a break.
