When writing the walkthrough, you should have been more specific about the switch-flipping. It's a bit confusing to follow in the Water Temple when you just say "flip" this switch. Sometimes I lose track of whether it should be on or off. It's not that hard to say flip the switch ON/OFF.

@MrHehE you need to have gotten the bandit key first and then go to aeropolis and in the slums area you can use it to access the bandit shop and then you buy the eldritch key and in the abandoned spaceship place there is a door which it unlocks and after following the path you get to miasmal citadel but to get further in to find the trilobite you need to collect all the miasmal chalices and despite what the walkthrough says you can still get the chalices after you get the temples crystal

Great walkthrough. I wasn't planning on using it for chapter 3, but seeing the huge amount of sidequests... My favourite part for now is 2. I am going to replay it and pray that the newly added zombies and droma's at the Moric battles won't be distracting. I remember battling the Saviours for the first time, about two years ago. It costed me like 20 tries. =P

Ohyes. But there's one problem - I don't want to see it because I don't want to have any spoiler - ruin for me - as in, I don't want to get the start/end of chapter 3 since I didn't play it yet - but still, I want to know I have every single skill before I finish the game...
Oh well. I guess all Ill do is beat 3 normally by myself, trying to find and grasp everything I can, THEN use walkthrough to get the skills and find out little secrets. Chapter 2 was incredibly distracting for me so I kind of missed a few things...

Pseudolonewolf: You can ALSO win against Ss'lenck by spamming Thunderbolt and Flame against all and making Mardek as offensive as possible (well, even though hes a tank-like)

For anyone wondering about when the walkthrough is going to be updated, my guess is that Pseudolonewolf is waiting for the contest to end to prevent further chances of his walkthrough winning over his game. Just my thoughts.

@Woodenhorse. To bring Legion to life, you'll need to gather the cord, the crystal rose and the skull first, then with Meraeador (you might need Gloria as well) in your party and go to the library in Aeropolis to discover where the book is located :) Once you have the necromancer's book, go into Meraeador's house in Goznor with BOTH Meraeador and Gloria in your party and you can then play with Legion :)

to BinyaminTsadik: yes they do, but make sure you put all items you want to transfer from chap 1 -> 2 -> 3 in Mardek's inventory.

@BinyaminTsadik : Yes, they do. Only if you made these save files after he updated the system. If your files are from the previous version, you will know because they won't be playable anymore. One more not; if you load either MARDEK RPG 1, 2, or 3 the beginning few screens will explain what happened, read them carefully.

The Miasmal Citadel is in the Dark Temple, below the Sun Temple, where you fought the mysterious stranger. The door is where Gope is. You must have collected all the elemental Chalices (Earth, Dark, Fire, Water) by killing 100 monsters in the respective temples BEFORE gathering the crystals to get the Superboss to spawn, but Im not sure if you need them to enter the Citadel.

hey Lone Wolf the Greates Greatsword User Ever! u missed a few things in the Water Temple walktrough but i guessed it myself... u cant be TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!! anytime so ill do man. and great going with the mardek game but if u Revamp it a little (WITHOUT DELETING OUR FILES) then add a Volume controller plz but else AWESOME man cant wait fornext chapter dont delay 3 years but dont hush and i know you got a few setbacks but i cant wait to see what Deugan has been up to (u dont see it clearly in dreamstones but u see it alright) well thats it and good Programming to all programmers out there and play the game to u [PROFANITY] up!!!

If you use Elwyn's Runic Rhapsody and then use Solaar's spirit graft on her till she has 100 spirit then it is ridiculously easy. The Guardian can barely do any damage at all.

Is it just me or does the mysterious stranger look a lot like stele from chapter two, fist attacks week vs. lightning. He will probably became a recurring character almost as annoying as the worlds saviors.

Animus strategy: As devil said, equip everyone with aether resistance. Using elwyen to play Runic Rhapsody while boosting her SPR with solaar (and maybe even lowering animus' spirit with gloria) will make the damage ridiculously low in the first few rounds. If you're lucky, you won't even have to heal throughout the fight. When elwyen's SPR is 100 or above, you'll take 0 damage, and can start boosting gloria's SPR to deal heavy damage. Equipping mardek with the red scarab to deal constant damage is a good idea, as is hasting Solaar and Gloria.

the part about fighting Muriance before getting the earth crystal may or may not be messed up. It says he uses a fig juice when near death, but he had like 500 hp and he never even used the fig juice. Good thing he was trigger happy.

Make sure everybody in your party has resist aether active as he attacks with aether half the time. Use Gloria to lower his spirit, as this will cause his elemental attacks (not aether) to drop to zero damage. Legion can also help if he has pixie dust and you are using him. I used Solaar to heal and he can use aether form in a turn that he doesnt have to heal anybody. The aether attacks from animus will heal Solaar, but will remove him from aether form when he is hit, so watch out. I just used Mardek to slash away at animus, but he can heal as well. I read in some places not to use shields because animus will break them, so I didn't try to use Mardek for that.

now he has made it that you can in fact get the miasmal chalice if you leave a temple but the monsters spawn less often, so you might as well get it while you are there. gain a level before tackling the boss or something. besides, it saves trekking there again.

The part in chapter 3 about the fire temple guardian using the inversion spell is wrong because i beat it twice (because i lost to the saviours after that and had to redo the whole battle) and he didnt use it once

It took the guy years to complete the game (Not because it took a lot of manpower, but because he got burned out and didnt feel like working on it. The same thing will happen to this walkthrough.

The surprising part is not that this is in the monthly top 5 games... The surprising part is that, with ALL of the haters, this "game" is rated high. I mean, seriously. Oh wait, yeah, I remember... Haters can't shut up. It must be something along those lines... Thus making them seem more numerous. :/

The walkthrough says that once you beat temple you can't go back for the Miasmal Chalice, but I did, and it still worked.

@tyedye7272, just a thought but make sure you have BOTH mereaedor and gloria in your party when you go back to his house for Legion.
@Phictional, those enemies are very difficult to kill...if you use only physical attacks. Their evasion doesn't apply to magic and you can get a reaction to boost accuracy from meraeador's helmet (and something else but I can't remember what, more helpful with pixies than the cactuses given when you get access to it).
@everyone who keeps saying the walkthrough needs completion; psudo's gonna try to get back to Mardek stuff (including this walkthrough) on Monday, according to his website

@blastfire333, you can also acquire the dust from pixies in the dreamrealm if you can take one out. They always drop it so the challenge is just to find one and kill it.

@blastfire333 Go to lifewood and follow the steps in the walkthrough, at the fountain with all the fairies around it there is one that sells Pixie dust.
