It is the late eighties or early nineties, I am running over to a friends house to pay thier nintendo, they have a new game called Raider. *Ah!* oh. only a dream...

Space Quest wasn't a platformer, it was like King's Quest and Quest for Glory. I don't see the relation. Space Quest was meant to be really goofy, which this doesn't seem to be (much).

woogychuck, are you using IE8? Or is your computer particularly slow? Those things seem to interfere with the speed that Flash receives keypresses, but the game works fine in my browser (Chrome).
Mrhat613, you can *change the controls*. I spent a long time today adding a key configuration thing for people like you who are unsatisfied with the default controls.

This totally reminded me of "space quest" back from windows 3.0, awesome game (space quest was) this game, don't know yet

I love the oldschool graphics and gameplay, it gets a bit laggy but thats probably due to my own computer. Well done, though i kind of suck at this game XD

Great issues with the jump, the ladders work really weird also, the character keeps going when u jump more of the times

Little point of note: Once you're at the game over screen, holding down A on "Play More Games" will keep spawning popups for as long as you hold it down.

Ha! I finished with a grand total of +3 points and an E ranking. I'm not complaining though, that was fun to beat. Now I really know what you meant when you were talking about the feeling of satisfaction when you beat something that's foiled your every attempt numerous times. Feels great! 5/5

Oh, lovely, LOVELY nostalgia. The game seems to work pretty darn good. Only, take a look at the ladders: when you try to reach the top, you fall. You must jump right before reaching the top to actually REACH the top. I believe this is because the ladder's top is not taken as a floor. My suggestion: add a new "tile", also a ladder, but that also works as platform. Good luck!

wow is the boss a huge jump in difficulty. maybe the platforming should have been harder so it's more of a steady slope towards the boss? fun game though.

Chippy502 ... you should check out "How to play" before posting comments. You can change the gameplay keys to whatever you want.

I'm embarrassed to say that I still haven't beaten the boss yet, but it's been a fun game nonetheless. And I feel like a major idiot, but I finally realized a good strategy to use when the Wraith goes off the beginning pattern and fires directly at you. It seems painfully obvious in retrospect, yet it took me at least 20 losses to finally see it. :(

ok game, but using A for the jump is a little annoying. I instinctively hit the up arrow to jump, like every other game, and die cause of it.

There is mayby an bug at the, when i use the configuration thing and, i go to play. Then when i try to use the Up arrow key to move it to Beginner, its goes to the middle game difficult O.o

Very fun and loving the mega man feel. Only bug I noticed is if the boss kills you his health gauge is still on screen and he continues to attack. Also, a back to main menu button when you die may not be a bad idea. Very difficult and very fun, looking forward to future episodes! 5/5

I have fixed the 'dropping at the top of ladders' thing, and really, it wasn't much of a problem to begin with in the first place. There were a grand total of FOUR ladders which didn't touch the ceiling, which you'd fall off if trying to stand on them, so I just raised them to the roof instead of changing the mechanics. None of them were in hostile areas either...

I like the game, its difficult and extremely fristrating but its enjoyable. Takes a couple runs before you know what youre doing and the WASD setup probably works the best. Also, Ladders could use some fixing because you just drop at the top. That can really screw you over and add to the frustration

pfff yea not that hard really, doesnt remind me of old time games for some reason, even tho it has a lot of similar stupidities, I think its because at least it was possible to jump on all the moving platforms etc. here the timing is sometimes totally screwed. altho in some really crappy old time ones that was also the case, you think they'd learned by now :/
oh well, disappointment for me, maybe mostly because falling on spikes doesnt just kill you at once... lame

Brings me back a long ways, absolutely love this... instead of my normal 1/5 for every game, like it or love it, you get a 5/5 because Megaman and Sonic used to be the only games I played oh-so-long-ago. I remember exactly what you mean about trying to get skill to finish the game. I grew up on these games because from the age of 4-6 I had cancer and the children's hospital in Peoria, Illinois had a few game systems and there were only a few, but DAMN did I play them. After all, I couldn't do much else. Absolutely loving the retro feeling of this game, oh yeah, and if you could make a type of game that COMPLETELY imitates the early megamans (fight, run around, end a level, kill a boss, get a powerup, repeat 5 times until you get to the final stage), I would be very happy to give feedback on the early stages of it
