Horrible game. The pointless scrolling makes the "defense" game even more unplayable than it already is, with several enemies becoming pretty much invisible until you strain your eyes really hard. It does not even work as a parody. I have tried the challenge, but I haven't got even to 10% of it and I already got physically sick. A repetitive and monotonous game is bad enough, but this is even beyond that. It's unplayable. If the challenges remain at this level, I'll probably even burn the cards I already got (metaphorically, that is). The bottom line, as a guide to anyone before playing this game: don't.

pretty nice game, i liked the robot stage, since you put damage into the explosions, made for some somewhat interesting gameplay, the defense could have been alot better, the drones should be a bit better than they are, and perhaps their proficiency changed in different difficulties? all in all, not a bad game

Overall a fun game. Defense with the turret is difficult after level 7 (maybe its just me). Drone turrets are too dang slow! When you play as the guy it is a lot more fun but after a while it gets repetitive and boring.

This game is ridiculously boring. I usually try to get all the cards and challenges, but I can't even force myself to sit through this one. Bad form.

Helpful Hint: listen to Camper Van Beethoven's "take the skinheads bowling" while playing against the nazi's and you'll do better.

The "eight games in one" are obviously just two games (four if you count Survival and protection modes individually) with differences that are merely cosmetic. The custom mode was a nice addition, though. A full options menu is always a huge plus, especially since the background music was a tad loud by default.
About the actual gameplay, it manages to parody defense games while still being quite fun itself. It still had the same problem as most other defense game: Monotony. By the time you would be able to buy the best weapon, you'll probably be bored to death.
Speaking of weapons: Single shots from automatic guns are overpowered. You can get the power of a single-shot weapon with less reloading.
Also, the special weapons were too weak, and weren't actually "special". The choice didn't matter too much, since you won't find yourself using them too often.

Love Axe a Ninja and Fall of the machines. I think Ultima defense is pretty hard. The a bug's death is pretty annoying...

I sort of agree with Botox, The gameplay could be better and the scrolling around is indeed to annoying for words. However, I liked the survival games in it. I found they were pretty amuzing. The defense parts are just to damn annoying, with everything to expensive to even think about buying them.
The drones are a nice idea, but they're aim is off. When the aquire a target they will shoot it, even if it's allready dead.

Okay... when I reviewed this game The first time I hadn't played "Ultimate Defense"... or should I say "Ultimate Torture", because it was torture to play. The fact that this game was used in a challenge was the ONLY reason I played it... my score didn't even submit the first time so I had to go through the misery of getting to level 10 in your defense game AGAIN.
PLEASE remove it from the game lineup.. it is so bad... The ants and ninjas blend in with the background... the guns are irritating... If something gets next to them it's so hard to shoot... The screen scrolling is pointless and annoying... I cannot begin to express the frustration.

single most boring "game" i ever played can't even come close to forcing myself to play it long enough to complete the challenges

Very nice game, though extremely repetitive. The graphics were really good, which actually make it stand out from the rest of the other 'generic' defense games out there. I liked the selection of different game modes, as well as the ability to customize your own game. However, every game is really repetitive, sometimes even laggy, when you get to the higher levels (especially the Ninja Storm game). But, I do enjoy blasting away at Nazi bowlers, ants, zombie football players, and other miscellaneous enemies, so, albeit with some slight disappointments, this does have fairly high replay value.

It is an average game. The difficulty should continue to get harder later into the game instead of reaching a cap. You get way too many more points thatn you need. I bought all of the items and still had money left over. Rethink the point system.
Overall = 3/5

The first time I played this it was decent. Got a little... okay extremely repetitive as I got into higher levels. But to my delight the challenge was to play it again and again. That hurt, I'm sorry to say. Luckily you get 5000 points per level.

booooooooooo this game stinks! from the prices it charges for health and defence, youd think that the small should do 75%!

I don't get why you put all of these crappy weapons that no one would ever buy or use (because the starting weapon is significantly better) then put all of the good weapons waaaay beyond reach at 10x the price of all of the others. It's really frustrating and makes no sense. You get a 4/5 for graphics, 4/5 for sound, 3/5 for menus, and 0/5 for weapons management and balancing. The gameplay has some bugs... like in the ant game... when I kill an ant then shoot again my shot at an ant behind it should not be blocked by the carcass of the dead ant. It was close between a 3 and a 4, but because of these few greatly frustrating problems I'm giving it a 3.

the game is definately unique thats for sure...
but i did have a couple of problems... the first being that when you are the human dude you move a lot more than you press on the keyboard, the second beibng that it gives you a list of weapons, and i picked the shot gun, and i didnt get it, but instead got the Shot gun(maybe making the weapon choices clearer would be good), and lastly, i dont understand why this game is so hard to understand(the whole menu is not where i think it should be)
overall tho 3/5 but could use some improvements

It was alright. What was annoying to me was the bullets can hit the ground in front of an enemy. The should go completely straight in any direction you fire, so that you don't have to aim directly on or behind an enemy.

look, if you want to rip off crimson land at least make sure that the damn controls don't stop working because there are more than 3 enemies on the screen at the same time...

Pretty good game. 8 games in 1, each which is customizable in many ways makes it alot of fun, until later levels where its just the same thing over again. More monsters, and weapons would be cool. have had a few crashes in the game aswell. the music is repetitive, could have music choices to make game play somewhat more enjoyable. Character selection would be cool aswell, over all though, its still a good game

The god awful tedium of this game. Some games can pull off constant repetition of the same thing over and over again. But the Nintendo is no longer in production and games have evolved.
This is mind-numbing to the point I wanted to eat glass.

** Your score registers only if you die in the game.. so don't just quit! ***
8 games in one would be a lot more interesting if it wasn't the same thing over and over again with different images... and Picnic Panic would be better if the "new" gun you can buy did more damage than the first, not less... It could use some improvements but at least most things seem to work well enough.

All the games are basically the same, gets old very fast. Also its VERY annoying that the bullets hit the ground where your cursor is, instead of just continuing forward.

does anyone know how to get your score to save for the challenge? that's the only thing that's bad, oh and the mindless repetive nature of the defense games.
