I really like this game. There is so much potential in it. I can't wait for a sequel. But in short: Fire > Ice > Divine. Fire is better by a huge margin.

gah, finished this at weebls.com =P Great game thou, I 100% all the stages first going holy then ice, also: hold the buttons down instead of hitting them like a monkey, it helps ;)

Adding to some other comments, this is a prototype of a game, a self-described "simple game." Reading the author's statement, it would seem that Rachid would like some actual input to its coming expansion and not just us players saying "it's too simple."
All I have to suggest is that the most time I've ever played a game (as in many dozens of hours) on Kong was with the Mardek series... Take that to mean whatever you like. ;)

would you please add an alternative to spell keys? it's pretty bothersome how everyone goes with the "zxc" US keys while we europeans have "yxc" :p I'd be great.

Max level is 15, meaning you get 28 points to place how you like. I personally enjoyed a deep Ice build that then went into Divine causing incredibly fast ice bolts with 63% crit and hard hitting smites at 73% crit. 43% to run speed and more mana regeneration helps in survival a bit.

This game is great fun, but I must agree with the other posters that it is a tad too easy. Here's my upgrade path which allowed me to complete the game at level 11. I guess 10 is possible if you're good at evading stuff... level 2: 2 in Fireball level 3: 1 in fireball, 1 in icebolt. replace the ice aura shit with the ice bolt. Spam x+c. Level 4: 1 in Hot Air, 1 in Holy Grace (might not be needed) Level 5: 1 in Hot Air, 1 in Winter's Might. Level 6: 1 in winter's might, 1 in Holy Grace (might not be needed) Level 7: 2 in Hot Air Level 8: 1 in Rapid Fire, 1 in Winter's Might Level 9: 1 in Frostbite, 1 in Dual Fireball Level 10: 1 in Rapid Fire, 1 in Icebolt Frenzy. Level 11: 1 in Rapid Fire, 1 in Icebolt Frenzy. That's pretty much it, and it's all what is required to beat the game.

Hardest map where 1, 2 and 3. When I started to spend some points, the rest of the game where a walk in the park. Finished the game as a lvl 10 Ice master.

Fun, simple game. I'm interested to see what you come up with for the sequel.
In this game, Holy is a bit weak since Smite lacks an AoE component. In the interests of variety, I suggest increasing its damage instead, preferably through the passive skills. In a more complex game, the healing might be more significant, but here Holy seems to be the only path that requires much healing.

I found the game fun, though pretty easy. Upgrades were nice, but there were a heck of a lot of them for what is actually a pretty simple game. Feels like they should be attached to a more complex RPG.

ummm... honestly great game... love the old school graphics( im always a fan haha) however... its WAY to easy... needs to be toned up a bit and longer to be more than a 3 its good for a little bit of quick fun though... add some depth lvls and more to the talent trees and i think you have a good series on ur hands :O

simple and amazing.......... could use a little bit tweaking with the graphics and you should add a better story mode , re-spec, and a money(or other resource collect which you can switch for upgrades).... overall quite a good game.

Love it! I really like the integration of a top down shooter with an RPG. Especially when that means you're an 8-bit wizard kicking tons of ass! I would really like to see this turned into a full-length game. Items would also be a really cool addition, allowing for more (and easily swappable) customization. It seems as if creating new levels would be fairly easy, so it'd be really cool to see an "adventure map" type feature where you could take different paths through the world, taking on different missions at different times. This could also allow for missions with more specific goals than "kill everything that moves," even though I do always greatly appreciate that goal!
All in all it's great, and I'm really hoping for a sequel.

Can you please change z-x-c to x-c-v for your german fans. We have the z where you have your y. Not good for playing, thanks...

tips for a possible sequel
more uniqueness among trees-frost and fire spells are basically mirrors of each other. it needs less talents that are just "increased damge and mana regen" and more interesting passives like double fireball and frostbite
more synergy between trees-basically, the only thing you can do is max a tree, than you may as well forget about the remaining 10 points or so because you can't get anything helpful in the other trees.
directional spells-basically, if there is something behind you, your only options are to either try and reposition yourself behind it(nearly impossible when the screen is filled with enemies), or dump tons of mana into your AOE spells just to hit one target. there needs to be a way to use basic attacks in different directions, or there needs to be more low cost spells capable of reaching somewhere other than directly in front of you.
I really do enjoy the game, its a great concept, just a bit under developed

Great job! It's basically a shooter "slowed" down to an rpg with upgrades. Fun and likely re-playable for different spell trees, but not quite enough polish to bring it home. Ramp up difficulty/add levels to increase game length and step up the graphics/UI and I think you've got something serious here! 4/5 to keep it above the 3.5 threshold.

really good, thought it was gonna suck but it was great. 5/5
spells are good, seems like alot of work was put into this game

specced in fire, then after got the last spell went ice. never learned a new spell and beat it never repeating a level and getting golds. Really fun, but a bit easy
