I DID IT!!!! OH MY GOD I FINNALY DID IT!!! PEOPLE GOING FOR THIS GAME: DON'T GIVE UP! IT MAY BE FRUSTRATING, IRRITATING, AND IT MAY SEEM POINTLESS BUT IF YOU MANAGE TO BEAT THE GAME YOU'LL WITNESS SUCH A MIRACULOUS SCENE THAT THE TRUE MEANING OF LIFE MEANS NOTHING IN COMPARISON SO IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU SPEND TIME ON THIS ONE, BAD VOTES ARE GIVEN BY WEAK AND DESPICABLE SOULS WHO DIDN'T MANAGE TO GET TO THE EPIC, MARVELOUS, AND UTTERLY LONG END CREATED BY THAT STRUGGLING MIND BEING PUT INTO THE LIMIT THAT THIS MASTERPIECE MAKER RAITENDO HAS. I feel like a lot of people are missing the point here. The idea is that your character (and by extension you) have no free will. The first time you go through your "life" you believe you are in control, you think you are performing the actions you want to do, because those are the actions that make sense to you in the context. It's only when you look at your life with new experience that you realize you were only doing those things because you had no choice, and in actuality you were never in control of the game/your life, not even the first play-through.
Really interesting portrayal of free will that made me stop and think.

Funny game regardless of whether you actually "free will." And the Japanese title in-game means "determinism"...i see what you did there :p

Pretty cute and short game. After I figured out the trick for getting an actual restart, it was funny and interesting. Not too difficult. Rather intuitive for the controls and mechanics. I wish it was longer though. A solid 4 stars.

OHHH, I get the joke! It is that playing these gameboy games is just a repeat of the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER. What the game does by playing for you is show you how pointless it is to try and retry the same hops and jumps while trying to reach some unknown goal.

LOL i didnt realize its mimicking your movements forever after your first death for like 15 minutes i kept getting mad that i was dying the same way over and over again XD

whats happening here is quite obvious. the title and playback mechanic suggest that this game is supposed to be a commentary on freedom of choice. however there is less going on then meets the eye as the whole thing was just a buildup to a bad pun. 5/5 because i like the way you confused the 13 year olds of kongregate and I <3 puns.
