Why didn't the game save? Cleared act 1 yesterday with thief, logged today to keep playing, I'm back at 0 reputation, no saved game...

I don't think you can get the badge with the tower. The score in the abdge information only updates with the highest score between the three acts for me, and not with the tower score. I don't see however how it is even possible to get the badge with any of the acts. I looked up the scoring formula and it simply does not seem possible since the time taken gets substracted with a factor of 12 from the final score, but without taking your time it's impossible to win on suicide difficulty, and the other acts don't give enough points.

Greatest hero is a wizard with a final score in the tower of over 376k and I still don't have the achievement. I climbed 70+ floors of the tower and I leave without an achievement and just a bunch of morale, and one accomplishment for reaching floor 61... I just want the impossible badge

Act 2 Xiatol's lair boss next to me 2 hp with wizard everything on cooldown except enslave boss have half health and i said why not? act 2 completed

Easiest way to get the impossible badge: go through The Tower with the Wizard class while having the 'Classicist' perk (Uses a single mana bar for all magic spells) and 'Soulmancer' gear (Start with the extra spell 'Form Wisp') as your active effects. Slowly build an army of wisps, focusing your talent points on maximizing firebolt damage (make sure to purchase the 'Inspire' talent ASAP as well.) First time I did this I got 74,000 points. Second time I got 143,000 points, well over the necessary amount for the impossible badge.

Was trying the alchemist for the first time and fired my gun, the knockback sent my guy falling into a pit, now I've got an amusing cause of death: gravity

To be honest, it took me few plays to warm up to this new game in the series, but once I really got into it, I saw how it expands upon the original game while remaining true to it, and now I LOVE it!

ok, if you have a sleep powder, throw it at a merchant and then attack them. They will not be able to fight back and give a ton of xp and an item

Man, I super duper wish I hadn't lost my progress on this game. I would probably play it off and on, for ever, if I hadn't.

My best run so far can be summarised as a Heretic stabbing, stealthy paladin who appears out of nowhere before judging you and occasionally casting heal to keep vampiric necklace from killing him while you are bleeding out of from his legendary dagger.
In other words, fun times were had.

I tried the paladin devotee/prayer of life on the tower. I'm floor 70 and not dead. Sleep recharges in 3 turns, my staff hits for 20 - 35 dmg, I can spam 4 jugement on one monster for full heal, and if things go bad heal saves me and recharges with 3% xp... But it's boring since everything takes forever to kill : sleep gets resisted often, thorn dmg scales very bad.

My favorite class : devotee paladin with prayer of life. I play only with it now. I consecrate the starter staff while running for hp gear (I only clear the level once i got all the chests and I use items on floor 1&2, dieing early is the most common death on this build), get 2 level in hp, 3 levels in faith, then hp/holy light/jugement depending on what I got as skills. I end up usually with +350 % holy recharge, a hard hitting staff (6-10dmg), ~30hp, +8 thorns on holy armor which is almost always up.

I just think that it's stupid that when you're trying to move around the map, you simply hurt your dog when playing Ranger.

This game reeeally needs an update... It's literally been 2 years since the last one. I joined this game about 3 years ago and I have so many fond memories. Sucks that the dev seems to have abandoned it though.

Great game, best rogue-like rpg ever, best endless mode ever. Keeps me intrigued for hours, this game has better implementation of RNG than other AAA game, I lost to a fing boss at 40th floor because, both me and the boss have only 10% hp left, and silly me tryin' to challenge the boss lol. I'm 20 years old, playing a goddamn game on kongregate, I am lucky to find this game tho. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone asking for this kind of game.

Wierd glitch i found, when i click off of the game i can click back on it but noting works, I think its actually happening from the start because i reload and i still can click anything

Why does a score in the tower not count for the impossible achievement? I just got 147k in the tower and it did not give me the Kongregate achievement.

If, through the Spell Book, one would get the Tinkerer talent from alchemist on a Pugilist, would the talent be able to upgrade the Boxer's Boot's' sidestep chance?

By far my favorite pixel/rogue-like game. However, losing progress due to cookie deletion is detrimental for continued play. I always forget about this and end up not playing again because starting over after clearing 40+ floors is discouraging... No way to fix???

Btw why is it possible to lose all your unlocked characters and perks when deleting cookies? what if you buy that alchemist with kreds and losing it while deleted history? that would be really disappointing.

Wizard tip: If you find a spider queen, enslave it cuz it can summon permanent hatchlings! If you kept the 4 hatchlings and spider queen alive from current floor, you can have them all upto the next floor!

For those trying to make it through a level for the first time, Ranger works stupendously. Get a level in the first two dog skills, then archery (poison arrow is nice but takes up an additional slot. AMAZING against Bosses 2 and 3.) Max Archery means a strong ranged attack once every 4 turns. Keep your distance; the dog will be the main attacker. Once you hit Lv5, the Dog does ~2-4 up to 4-12 damage a blow. Shadow Walk and Blink are the best abilities you can get, other magics do help of course. I recommend either Sniper, Faithful Friend or Hellhound. Sniper is Bow boost (also good for forested areas), Faithful friend is just a nice boon, nothing much though (good if you are still learning the mechanics/can't afford Hellhound/Sniper) and Hellhound is great if you want the puppy to take out 20% of Asterion's health. Runner is amazing, speed and stealth boost help you snipe foes without them detecting you. Ranger is about patience and keeping your distance. Do this and you will win.
