Once you realize the debating is just a rock paper scissors game it is easy to do. I do hope you make another game. I knew this would probably end this way but I don't have to like it so would love a second game maybe were you have to travel to other countries debating to find and get her back. Keep up the great work. Also I never did find that last item hmm.
Thank you very much for the kind comment. I had the idea to make a sequel sometime, whose title was already found : "Taktra Rimpoche Strikes Back" ! Or I could switch at once to "The return of Reting Rimpoche". Hmm. But it would be extremely cool since it would have Nazis, Soviet spies and ancient artefacts, but I don't know if I will have enough free time someday to do it though !

Don't make a dumbed down game for 'the people'. I really like how well this was written. I thought this was very good. Finished it the first time through, but didn't get all the stuff, so I can't say I 'beat' it. yet. Nicely done.

Great game man, it's good to know other cultures to see that even if they are different, the base is the same, we are all humans and should understand each other.This game made me not want to stop till i got the good ending.

@RanXYZ: I see. I thought there was an ending where Reting will be with the Iori. I guess they're not meant to be :( Anyways, I think I got all 10 items when Reting became the Dalai Llama. Also, thank you for making a great game! It was a little confusing at first but when you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to understand. I hope there will be sequel or another game like this. It's really fun!

@Blue02: no, that's it! You've got the 2 possible endings (note how the "good ending" is conveniently metophorical for the history of Tibet...). If I knew how to design "special achievements", I would create one for owning all 10 item in one game - did you catch them all already? ;)

Is it possible to run away with Iori? If so, how can you you do that? So far, I found 2 endings. First, Reting becomes the regent and replaces the Dalai Llama and second, he doesn't become the regent and still lives in the monastery. Is there any other ending available?

The "easy" mode can be selected once you start a new game. I must present my sincerest apologies, because old savegames are not compatible with the new 1.1 game... Anyway, I hope that you'll still like it!

woohoo! I finally found enough time to fix and upgrade the game! Thanks a lot for all your comments: as you will see, most of them now appear as an upgrade in-game (except for the bug that MechaAjnin noted, that I could not correct yet). Most importantly, there is now an "easy" mode, as well as in-game help. Enjoy!

Thanks for your comments everybody, it really does help understand what's left to improve. Indeed, as most of you noticed, I didn't take the time to create a tutorial, so that some things are a bit obscure about competences and skills... (I was already totally tired after an excessively long game developpement!)
// @randomraccoon: I didn't test that but indeed it would be a serious glitch. Loading a game however should be OK and would be a way to work around the problem until I fix it (for example you can save just at the beginning of the game).
// @KassuFin: 48 days? Congratulations! I don't know if even I can do that... 100 eloquency is not absolutely necessary so early in the game though (even if it does help).
//@migue5356: thanks for the advice. I will keep the timer because it's all the challenge (as randomraccoon noted), but maybe version 1.1 will have an easy mode with days split between AM and PM, thus granting 100 turns of play instead of 50. Not sure yet...

Alright, just to give a hint, after you beat the guard, you need 100 Eloquence (You get it atleast Debates) from doing before you talk to him again to progress in game.
And the game is not bugged, just beated it in 48 days xD

There's a pretty serious glitch: If you don't beat it the first time and hit new game without reloading the whole page, some things will not come up a second time. For example, gaining access to the training grounds, which is very important. All the leftover data needs to be reset when you hit new game, not just some. Second, it is a bit confusing for a while due to the lack of any tutorial. Don't get rid of the timer, though, because that's where the storyline and challenge are found.

List more details on what each button does. I spent 9 in-game weeks increasing my wisdom and culture without knowing it. Also, the alignment is off.

@vilmarci: definitely a bug, but a random and rare one: I just played the game a couple times and could not reproduce it. Didn't you have the line "I am the military advisor to the Dalai Lama"?

I don't understand! I've done everything I can do beaten the palace guard many times, bought everything and have full study (except courage) and yet nothing changes. Am I missing something?
