Would be handy if we could see debuff durations on enemies. Ran into a Greater Troll or somesuch that just wouldn't die, found out that my Curse spell was really handy for helping whittle him down, but kept losing track of mental count on rounds remaining before needed refresh. Throw in that trying to refresh early just results in wasted round, and the extreme number of summons I was juggling to deal with him scrolling battle log.. wasn't pretty. OH! Filterable battle log also could be helpful.

A few more suggestions:
1) Make potions usable from the inventory, and stop putting them on the action bar by default.
2) Make the action bar scroll vertically instead of horizontally. I never use the non-visible boxes except for permanent buffs because they're a hassle to get to. (Also, I'm always really worried that I'm going to click the first/last box as I'm scrolling.) I'd really like to be able to have one bar for buffs, one for summons, one for attacks, etc.
3) Show which function key each action box is mapped to. Perhaps in the corner of the box?
4) It'd be nice to be able to see the log after dying. I just got one-shotted by a manticore+, and I would have liked to see why. :(
5) I wish I could see my summons' stats, and know how to improve them. Summons seem really weak at higher floors, even with summoner 5.

Had a full icon bar at the bottom, gained a skill from increasing conjuration. Afterwards I made space for the new skill, but I can't find it to drag onto the bar anywhere.

Great game, loads of fun! I like that the high-powered abilities and spells cause permanent energy/exhaustion loss. However, it should be more clear how to increase your energy, and that the loss is permanent.
Perhaps allow a way to recover perma-lost exhaustion by resting a whole day (in the map screen). I got to the last mission, with a wizard with 25max (55lost) exaustion before I realized the cost of those spells.

MAJOR BUG: When I was rescuing the kid, it said I had unfinished business when I wanted to go downstairs, but I could not move because the kids were blocking me! Could not do anything!!!

You can make swamp levels /tremendously/ easier if you have access to Enchantment: Earth Attraction - It will instantly kill anything flying over water.

Interesting game but spend more time in inventory for weapons and objects than playing is really boring... May be something to sort out, or trash to gain a few gold or xp... ;)

Its tough, but after getting my weak mage killed a dozen times seeing her become a monster... that was awesome! Second playthrough finished =) Great game, great fun, tons of content thank you!

For those of us who suck but like the game, a continuous easy mode would be nice, be it an option to delay the demon coming until you want in the main campaign, or having easy mode tower of chaos put you back to the start of the floor you're on in tower of chaos... please?

@Jimboby890 you probably have your dash attack with a yellow border around it as the warrior, this is something i had to figure out too, you sometimes have to click the dash symbol twice to turn it off

oversight: quiting the game by just closing the tab and reopening keeps the same save spot as long as the game is closed before the new save. antithetical to roguelike premise

Exceptional Case Issue:
Final dungeon, only the princess is left alive. She took enough damage to die, in part because I was curious how the ending would change if she did. (Holy Hand Grenades, surprisingly effective.)
What happens is that "You have unfinished business in this dungeon" and the game cannot end, when I was expecting a bad end for letting the princess die /and/ not defeating the demon.

So as a mage I can go through and kick butt, no problem. As a warrior I can't attack enemies because whenever I click on one, I move in the opposite direction. No debuffs or anything on me, just the warrior being stupid. I would assume this is a bug?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am not sure why any one gave this good reviews. The damage is very unbalanced, once you are out of health potions its over. The range enemies are just way to strong and kill you by the time you are able to reach them. The changing of jobs is interesting, but with a time restraint and no way to replay levels it seems pointless. This was a good attempt but needs a lot of work.

went down some stairs, saw a pile of monsters. went back up the stairs to plan out my assault. went back down the stairs potion'd and buffed up, found twice the mobs, and one standing where i should have been, making me be unable to run away. not sure if bug, but slightly annoying.

ya you need to adjust the difficulty i think cause by level 2 all the ranged units kill you before you can even get to them

And thus, a new word was born: Sout (v) -- to exhibit such brazen unfairness as to cause the majority of deaths in a Rogue-like; one who souts.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So I'm not very experienced with Rogue-like games. Most RPGs I play, I'm hoarding loot to sell at a shop at some point. Is that the case here? Or should I just throw out whatever I don't need?

I'd love to see a class guide and maybe a bestiary.
And am I the only person who thinks that dying isn't that funny?!?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@hardarmor Yes it's supposed to be like that, healing and high level spells cause exhaustion. Large stamina potions will help recover that.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Are off-hand weapons stacked on as if you did two attacks, one with each weapon, or are they a percentage of the damage?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Exhaustion can be restored by a small amount by using a Large Energy Potion (big yellow potion). Also, when stuck in a single cell by your familiar, click on it to exchange positions. Doesn't seem to work on other summons but skip a few turns by resting until it's duration expires. Also, Tower of Chaos floor 15 seems to be the limit, Maybe leaderboard guy played on easy. I've always only played on normal so I don't know but level 15 is impossibly difficult. Also, More affinities to an element improves spells that use it. Also, press and hold left mouse (PC) on spell bar (lower right where your spells are) to see draggable actions. Also, pay attention to armor and shield requirements. If you equip an armor or shield before you've met the requirements, there's a huge penalty to your melee/ranged to-hit chance. Also, you can set the key bindings on the settings so you can use diagonal movements on the keyboard, up-left, up-right so on. And lastly, yes the game is good. + this buddy.

Excellent game, I had alot of fun. Understanding the experience system was a tad confusing because i did not really know it existed or how it worked for the first few runs i thought i needed to lvl up 2 characters to unlock ranger for instance. So i quit the game and played again as a thief. Nope, only then did i realize that you had to select the sub class of the second and unlock it. It wasn't very intuitive. Perhaps a option walk-through mission would benefit this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
how do I get my exhaustion bar back to full? it slowly keeps going down, I rest and use potions but doesn't go back to max? is it meant to be like that?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I feel like I will be downvoted for this, but this game has way too many flaws. Too many t list. Oh well, maybe I just don't see the fun in it that others do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Some of the +monsters past floor 15 are practically unkillable with how much dodge they have. I was fighting a minotaur+ (from an orb room) and one out of maybe 30 hits would actually deal damage. Before that, I was fighting a monster room full of + monsters and it took me maybe 20 minutes to clear the thing out.
Also, does having more affinity in an element make their spells stronger? It's really hard to tell. To be honest, it's hard to tell just what each stat does to improve damage.
And lastly, do infinite buffs get stronger? Do you have to recast them to receive extra benefits?

Would be nice to have a Save/Load function instead of Save and Quit, then you have to load. This way you can Save anytime without Quitting and if you had a multiple load that can hold 2 or more characters saves would be nice, that way one can choose which save point to start at again. Also I don't know if this is just happening to me or others but saving the game in Tower of Chaos seems to be pointless if when you Die your character save is gone.

Dude the game is cool, but the controls are the WORST i have ever seen in a game. seriously wtf man. and the graphics could have been a bit better. they could have been similar to the graphics from The Tower of the Archmage

When unlocking an advanced class, the tooltip should tell you the prerequisites you've met to unlock it, instead of making us guess with the useless "Prerequisites ok" message. Better yet, just have them all revealed with the tooltip and everything but greyed out until unlocked. Because if you don't, there's a good chance there are advanced classes that players will never get to see. I for one have only seen 9 and the uninformative tooltip isn't helping.
