I am convinced the aliens let me go because I tried to give them the red herring as a specimen for their collection. No one can tell me otherwise.

The intro and outro movies scenes for this game are by far the best scenes I've ever seen in an online game like this. I can't fathom the game makers taking the time to do that. Awesome job. :)

lolz i just realized "red herring studios" and the useless red herring in the game, that fkin herring was my fallback plan for everything. "lets see if i can bash the boxes out of the way with a fish... NOPE!" XD

This is seriously one of the best point-and-click games I've ever seen. The level of worldbuilding, the story, the tone, everything suggests that this comes close to beating my absolute favorite series of all time, Submachine, which is only a teensy bit better because it's so mysterious and climactic. 5/5, and I want a sequel! Or two, or three... *drools*

My only complaint would be to change the SKIP cursor to a CONTINUE cursor to avoid confusion, I thought I was going to miss something important if I hit skip.
Intro and outro movies were rather impressive!

Hmm... I need to pry open this container. Screwdriver, nope, steel rod, nope, shovel, nope, rifle, nope, tent pole, nope. I guess I'll check the walkthrough.
"Use Buddha statuette on steel rod."
o_O Glad to see the spirit of retro gaming, trial-and-error, and random item combinations is still alive! ;-)

"The syringe broke, sorry for that." This is probably the only point and click game where your character explains why things in your inventory mysteriously disappear and gives you an apology.

In response to the comment regarding why the ship would have closed its wings to travel through a vacuum in which the wings won't affect flight: There's loads of debris in space, and folding in the wings reduces the likelihood of their being damaged en route.

For those lamenting the end of Flash player, it's the end of ADOBE Flash player only. A plugin that can be used with chromium has been developed: https://www.getsupernova.com/extension/. I just hope Kongregate doesn't decide to just remove all these old games.

for those who just can't figure out the console codes at the end, here are the symbols and meanngs: MMC POWER FT OFF F_ ON nJL EMPTY (F and J are sideways, L is inverted and sideways). + if this is helpful and so that others can see

"I think this is the point where we're ought to start worrying about our situation." To be honest, one stone head was already enough to make me worry...

I got the black screen / red crosshair first time, but a refresh let me see a commercial about fried turkey and insurance, then the game worked fine

Honestly one of the best escape games I have ever played. The game play was equal parts intense and frightening, and the music helped set the mood. The tone of the games was dark and confusing, and just made the entire experience that much better. And who can forget the amazing intro and end movies. The amount of skill and time that was evidently put into making those scenes would have made the game worth playing on its own, regardless of the content inside the game. Hands down a fantastic and bloody brilliant game, and if there's not a sequel I'll probably run over my foot.

This reminds me of dead space and i love it please PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER maybe the story of the ship that already crashed there +if you would like a story of the past crew

This is the best construction I've ever seen in a game. Your ship gets thrown into a friggin planet and only cracks in three places. 10/10 would buy this ship again.

Great game, wonderful concept. The graphics were beautiful, intro and final movies were breathtaking, and the puzzles were perfect. I did have a problem with some of the codes, didn't realize I had to put the code for the cable in and THEN the code for off. And I didn't even see the gravity code, so I did look at the walkthrough twice, but hey, it happens. ;)
Would love to see a Morningstar 2.

I love that this guys pulls a steel rod out of his boss, carries it around throughout the day, and uses it to get stuff done. No shits given. xD

Great Game, just one comment though. I wish I knew the "Red Herring" was useless from the start and just an Easter egg. A few times in the game I found myself wondering around with no clue what the next thing I must do was. It always ended up with me and that dame fish. Mm-mm, cant open that crate. What if I hit it with the fish? Or, I cant reach far enough into the drain to get something. If I drop the fish down the drain, will it swim to the object and bring it to me? And, I cant see its to dark. Well if i skewer the fish with the pole and light it on fire, I can make a torch. LOL, funny now but frustrating before.

"There's no point in going back there until I have a charged power cell, some hibernation fluid and a spare plasma injector."
In my possession: plasma injector, algae sample, charged fuel cell. Umm....
