Apparently I suck because it seemed really hard to me. Being able to drive the ship with the mouse instead of the keys would really help.

Awesome game, rythem mechanic is well implemented and the upgrade system is really good too.
However, I desperately want to be able to control with my mouse. That's how I normally play bullet-hell shooter.

Excellent game but my computer is too old and hangs causing my ship to run into bullets because it won't change directions :'(

i finished the last level (20) with perfect; lvl 19 is very hard, i lost 3 ship, this game made me crazy for 1 hour!!!

You would think that by the time they lost the third or fourth mothership that the aliens would have figured out to just not shoot at us and we would be powerless against them...

Pretty fun game. I actually liked having to go back to levels I'd lost lives on to regain them. It was fun to re-visit the levels after I'd made some progress in the game.
One thing I did not like was the lasers. They were just annoying. It was too difficult to tell when they were going to go "active". I was going to go to all the levels and get all my ships back at the end, but the lasers stopped me from caring.
The final boss was kinda meh. It was way too easy. I only got hit once, and that was because the next level spawned with bullets already on top of me, it was odd. A big problem with it was whenever I found myself getting backed into a corner by the bullets, the next level would start and I'd get a fresh go at it. Way too easy of a last boss.
The credits were unique and innovative. Good job. 4/5.

Nice, i had beaten this on NG earlier. I like every part except sometimes my ship would keep moving after i stop hitting an arrow key. Also I wish there was more variety in the music. Its all techno.

Unfortunately the game tends to lag out for me, with keyboard input sometimes getting a full second of lag before the ship moves. For a bullet hell game this make it a bit impossible.

Yeah, Trilobyte, I also have a problem with games that restrict my play style. I mean, why don't they allow us to use kicks and punches in these bullet hell games?
*rolls eyes*
Seriously? Slowing down time or "bullet time" is a staple of bullet hell games, if you think your forced in this game try playing Touhou, then you'll know what "forced play style" is. If you dislike a game, diss out on the game based on how it is to it's corresponding genre. This as a bullet hell game is quite well made 5/5.

Another good idea executed badly. Games that force you to slow down time are lame. I don't like slowing down time like a pussy so don't force me to. You can't play this game without slowing down time so different playing styles aren't supported. Some people like to dodge in real time and you made the projectiles move so fast on many levels that it isn't anywhere near possible. I hate games that force me to play one way only with no choices of my own. I can't choose upgrades, I can't choose controls (shift and x are both terrible choices for slow down), and I can't choose the way I want to play.

Point #1: Good game, good music. 5/5. Point #2: The lasers are rather hard to see until they fire, making them hard to dodge. This could use some work, though I'm not sure what to suggest. Point #3: Dodge the credits.... You're funny. :P

I was not expecting a randomized boss-rush as the final boss. In fact, it did not feel like a "ultimate" boss (especially with the "reinforcements"). I would not mind one more boss that unlocks after you manage to have no deaths on every level. Of course, this boss would be designed to the player's ass, not just offer a hard challenge. Maybe just have Game Over (lvl 19) with no slow (I consider slow to be a bit overpowered).

Not sure why people are complaining about the overall difficulty. (The one I had the hardest time getting no deaths on was level 7.) Sure, you will die a number of times, but as long as you utilize the slow ability, you should be able to dodge until the pattern gets easier (most have significant "rest" measures in the middle) or you figure out how to attack with the pattern. Also, make sure you fully charge before attacking and use up the entire charge at once even if you miss a few shots. Those latter shots do WAY more damage than the first ones.

A game this difficult should let you choose your upgrades. Having to replay levels to get your "allies" back is stupid and annoying - you've basically made it so people have to grind levels they don't like over and over.
Very bad design choice.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Making the later levels near impossible for most people isn't clever or fun, it's frustrating and the difficulty gradient is way to steep. Not everyone has the reactions of an F-22 raptor fighter jet pilot.

This is the coolest alien invasion I've ever seen. I hope when aliens take over, it's a big musical laser show with giant balls of light flying around. That would be awesome!

player 2 can use the mouse, is there a way for player 1 to use the mouse in a single player mode? otherwise good game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Some levels in the beginning seem almost impossible to win because of the sheer number of shots coming at you. Took me two lives on the third boss and I really don't want to play that level again... R.I.P allies...

A decent game, although it had a tendancy to have lag spikes every now and then. Got bored after a couple levels, I don't think there's enough variety in the upgrades, and also due to the fact that you can't choose what you want to upgrade. Seemed to have enough difficulty, it certainly wasn't too easy.
3/5.
