quite a hard game to understand, especially if you don't read the instructions and just try to figure it out all by yourself. xD

Awesome idea, awful realization. Well, maybe I'm expecting too much from release 0.6, but.
1) You can not see all circuits at once. This mean that you either need great memory, or pencil to remember what you did in circuit 1, circuit 2, etc. (game has no bultin notebook, nor builtin truth tables which are good especially for PAL)
Fact that you can't rename circuits to something meaningful does not help.
2) Tutorials are bad: once they completed, you can not redo them, tweeting configuration to see how changed configuration will behave in wild. If they are not completed, you can't do anything, but what you were told to do. Not good if you want to play a little with working configuration and see if different approach
3) No fast forward
4) No "clear all/restart" button.
5) no save/restore for ehmm. code snippets
So, editor sucks so hard that pressing esc and modifying text is the only good way to modify robot.
3/5.

As a degreed electrical engineer, my feeling is that this game could be a great intro to circuit design, but it needs a couple things:
- fast forward
- better explanations, or a hint series for the levels when the tutorial stops
- a clearer separation between the inputs and outputs

hmm, level 16 seems buggy, i did SENSE|0|RED, MEM|1|-1, PAL|1,2,-1,-1|1,8, L+=0 L-=1 R+=3 R-=-1 but the first time I tried it the bot looped. now I typed it in and it works...
also, save/load should be automatic once a level is solved. i had a nice solution for 14 but i lost it because I forgot to cut'n'paste it out of the game...

Oh, another improvement :) Now I like it much more. Tested the save/load system... Good work. Besides it's primal destination, it helps much with programming; eg. with copying similar cirquits. A panel showing working cirquits... Good work indeed. For every update You have one more point from me; now it's 5/5. I'm out of ideas what to improve next in this version. Waiting for Scent Bot 2 :)

gameigor you should not say on but null for the memory because on resets it all the time (on is always 1 not only in the beginning) anyway, awesome game though the hud is a little complicated and there should be more explanations how stuff works.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
so I don't know much about programming, but I'm trying to figure out this game. so tell me: on level 4, I have my left tread linked to NOT Sense R and my right tread linked to NOT Sense L. Why does my robot go straight across the board? Shouldn't the treads turn off whenever the sensors report TRUE?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good points, all. Tuts are working a little better now. Hitting ESC only shows the internal script for non tutorial levels.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I may be lazy to not want to learn things through trial and error, but I like tutorials. And these ones don't work. So I stopped.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The memory switch is not working properly, when the condition to switch it off (exemple) ends it switches automatically on, but then it is not a memory switch and of no use, what do you think?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
V 0.6. As I see, a save system. Why the esc key doesn't work? Is it my computer's fault? What a pity, I would like to test it :) Now the tutorials. All is fine, until I follow exact the instructions. Every click (it even doesn't have to perform an action) make another step of the tutorial, which causes the arrow pointing at void or wrong parts. Come on, when You improve something, make it properly. Otherwise, now only scoring and sounds... And another idea: is it possible to see all the cirquits connected into a tree? It would make the designing much easier and not force me to draw everything on a letter.

lolsit, for level 8 if you also have it turn towards a blue sensing antenna until both sense blue, the bot will drive right across the center of the blue circle. Makes catching the gold bug a lot easier
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok, here it is , not the best way , but it works : OUT{L+1 ON , L-1 NULL , R+1 3 , R-1 2} ; 1 SENSE R green ; 2 TIME 1(9,9) ; 3 NOT 2
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think I'm going to "bounce" that robot of the "green walls" with a timer , playing with the time units untill I get lucky....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The version 0.5 means, that this is beta, right? Ok, so in my opinion these things are needed to be done for this game to be one of the best: a save system - both, which levels are already done, and something to remember the robot designs (maybe a text system, something like in the Krispykrem games?). A score system, for example spared cirquits or time. Maybe new different sensors or bot types, both ours and enemies (for example directional sensors). A level creator. And, of course, nice music and sounds would be great, too. This game has a great potential; I'm waiting for more.

Woot , I'm getting the hang of this now and I never knew anything about it b4 , Heres my Simple(!!!) solution to lvl 6 : OUT = {L+1 ON , L-1 NULL , R+1 3 , R-1 2} ; 1 = SENSE R blue ; 2 = TIME 1(8,8) ; 3 = NOT 2. Simple as PIE :-)

You have to toggle the go/stop button once to get the interface to come up, for some reason.
I posted a video of level one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBLoEhqX37s
And level two:

Hopefully these will help you figure out the interface
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's fairly easy once you know what the statements mean. I think it'd get far better ratings if it had like 10 tutorial levels, laying out how the different operators worked. Even then though, it's best done with some paper or a white board. >_<

Add a level editor with the kong level sharing API.
This game would be awesome with it. Then add a more user friendly interface, and this would rock!

oh....yes...I like this game. solution for bumb 'n turn II:
1 -> sensor left green;
2 -> timer 1 min/max 8;
3 -> NOT 2;
4 -> sensor right blue;
5 -> timer 4 min/max 8;
6 -> NOT 5;
OUT: left -1 -> 2;
left +1 -> 3;
right -1 -> 5;
right +1 -> 6

I'd really like to save my solution for labyrinth part III. so I need to write it down:
1 -> Sensor blue left
2 -> Sensor blue right
3 -> Sensor red left
4 -> Sensor red right
5 -> NOT 3
6 -> NOT 4
7 -> NOT 1
8 -> NOT 2
9 -> 1 AND 2
10 -> Timer 9 min/max 5
11 -> NOT 10
15 -> 3 OR 4
16 -> 9 OR 18
17 -> 9 OR 19
18 -> 5 AND 7
19 -> 6 AND 8
OUT: left and right -1 -> 15
left +1 -> 16
right +1 -> 17
maybe not the easiest solution :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
far underrated indeed, people rate things low when they dont understand it, you people are so dumb, if i gave u a tomato, u will say its a fruit :S
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heres how I did lvl 4 : OUT = {L+1 on , R+1 on , L-1 6 , R-1 7} ; 1 SENSE L blue ; 2 SENSE M blue ; 3 SENSE R blue ; 4 NOT 1 ; 5 NOT 3 ; 6 AND ( 1 , 2 , 5 ) ; 7 AND ( 2 , 3 , 4)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is way underrated...I'm not very good at this game myself either but I like to learn and can see that this game should deserve a rating of 4
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Maybe make the solution at the end of the manual a tutorial level, so everything is a bit more clear. Other than that, the game is good actually. Actually programming takes some getting used to.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh wow, going into some electrical engineering there. I doubt most people will want to put in the time to actually learn how to play this game, since it looks damn complicated.
